## What is IronTV?

IronTV is a clean, native player for the Xtream Codes IPTV service you already subscribe to. It ships with no channels and no content — you provide the playlist URL from your own provider, and IronTV does the rest.

 FEATURES
 • One-step setup — paste the M3U playlist URL your provider gives you; IronTV reads the server and your credentials from it and validates them. The playlist file itself is never downloaded.
 • Browse by category, see every channel at once, or jump to your Favorites.
 • Instant search across your whole channel list.
 • Reliable live playback with automatic reconnection: if a stream stalls or freezes, IronTV recovers on its own.
 • Broad format support — channels that need it fall back to a built-in VLC engine, so more of your streams just play.
 • Full-screen viewing, remembers your last channel, and resumes where you left off.
 • Your account syncs privately across your devices through iCloud. Credentials are stored only in your Keychain — never on any server of ours.
 • Tune buffering and reconnection to match your connection.

IronTV is a media player only. It does not provide, host, or sell any channels, subscriptions, or content. You are responsible for the service you connect it to and for holding the rights to what you watch.

Requires a subscription from a compatible Xtream Codes provider.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-01

IronTV 1.2 plays more channels, on more panels, in more languages.

• New VLC-based engine alongside the Apple player: channels that wouldn't play before now do, and TS-only panels are fully supported. The player always shows which engine is active.
• Smarter reconnection: quick retries first, then a steady pace that never gives up on a live stream.
• Huge catalogs fly: accent-insensitive search and lighter channel icons stay smooth with tens of thousands of channels.
• Safer connections: if your panel offers HTTPS — even on a different port — IronTV verifies it and upgrades automatically. Plain HTTP always asks first.
• Favorites, last channel, and playback settings sync across your devices via iCloud.
• When IronTV returns from the background, your channel is one tap away.
• Now in Spanish, with a full VoiceOver accessibility pass.
• Playback settings now say exactly which engine each option affects.

### 1.1 — 2026-07-25

More reliable live playback:
• Channels that used to stall now recover on their own, with no interruption prompts.
• New adaptive engine automatically switches troublesome channels to VLC (MPEG-TS) for smoother, uninterrupted viewing.
• Choose your playback engine in Settings: Automatic, Apple (HLS), or VLC (MPEG-TS).
• Faster channel start and fewer visible rebuffers.
• Tunable buffering and reconnection timings.
