Also, no indication onscreen of the volume level, which station frequency is tuned, etc. Frankly, the only real use is for selecting speaker zones and adjusting the volume (audibly). Often won’t connect and won’t turn the system ON. Terrible app that needs updating badly. (LAST UPDATED 2 YEARS AGO!) ### 2/5 — It Could Be Better *2022-08-26, version 1.8.3* It connects to my radio easily enough via Bluetooth but only provides basic controls. It would be very helpful if they would add-in additional controls. Our physical remote died a terrible death beneath the recliner and this app is by no means an adequate replacement. (it only has 6) Also App does not show stations Fm or Am so just a guess when you go through em 😵‍💫 Also on the “ Radio mode” no way to see what ban your on; fm1, fm2, fm3, am or whatever; it’s all just a guess it seems ….. This app definitely needs some upgrades 💁‍♂️ ### 1/5 — Only connection to the stereo? *2021-09-24, version 1.8.3* The stereo Bluetooth will not connect to any phone - but only to this app. In what mind does this seem like a good idea? And the music connection within this app only seems to allow use of Apple Music. Thus, we cannot use Spotify or any other music/ podcast app to stream to the stereo. This is beyond ridiculous in 2021. But there is hope. It would be easy enough for the authors (also the stereo equipment supplier?) to update the app to allow the music/ streaming source of our choice. Just let us assign an app (Spotify, podcasts, google podcasts) to that button within the settings. This could be addressed in a few hours for one focused on serving the customers. ### 2/5 — Barely functional *2021-05-08, version 1.8.3* This app is terrible. The UX is poor and it’s barely functional. About all it does clearly is turn the head unit on or off. The rest of it is poorly laid out or just doesn’t work. Coming from an RV that used the Jensen app to run their head unit, I would advise the app developer to look at the competition and copy them. ### 1/5 — Terrible radio system overall *2021-04-25, version 1.8.3* Lost my Bluetooth connection. Dealer suggested I try the app. Didn’t see the system (iRV29 radio) so I had to pull it out and pull the fuse. Then my phone would connect but the app never sees the device. Useless. ### 1/5 — Poor App *2020-09-23, version 1.8.3* This is about the most simplistic app I have seen. You can’t even tell what speakers are on. Without looking at radio head you cannot tell what mode you are in. Nothing but issues and I just purchased my camper a month ago! You can’t even adjust any settings off the app!!!! Until there is an update or I code another app for it, it’s the only app in town for this radio. There’s no Help and you have to figure it out by trial and error. You can turn zones on/off but there’s no way to see if they were on or off in the first place. (Zone buttons should ideally change appearance/color when that zone is active. This app does not do that.) There’s a “Z3” button. No idea what it’s for or what it does. If your phone gets more than 10 feet away, the signal starts to buffer/fail. This app has never worked on my travel trailer. The app is just crap. This is Rookwood quality so next RV will not be a Rockwood aka Forest River. Wonder what other crappy items are hidden in my travel trailer. Just downloaded the app today because the remote that came with the unit didn’t last through the warranty period. I was able to pair one of the latest iPhones to the unit, but the remote app couldn’t find it. Come on developers! You should be able to perform simple tasks like setting the time presets get feedback on current settings. My last camper had a system that I was able to play music from my iPhone through but all this does is pull up Apple Music (nothing happens) and plays the radio stations. Absolutely no feedback whatsoever when using app. Bluetooth connection is intermittent at best and when a connection is successful it won’t be long before it’s dropped. Once could stream music to RV system using steaming music app now that no longer works. When you attempt to connect iRV to your RV system via bluetooth the app redirects you to download Apple Music.
