I use to have the older version kosher. The newer version is it kosher won’t let me download the app. It only lets me open it from the App Store. Are compatible with new version and if so how do I download the apps. Thank you ### 4/5 — Sooo useful *2017-08-09, version 5.4.0* For someone who usually just takes stuff if i think it's kosher, this app is extremely useful! U can even scan bar codes on any food to find it quickly! I also just realised u can also find kosher places near u! It would be better to leave all categories ticked and search filter to select a country/region. That way, if there is a product from a country I am looking for, I can just filter to that country instead of turning on the list. Also a view option, I would like to have ability to change to list view, small icons etc - will make it easier to find items in a long list. Needs to be more accurate and be able to see more details about the product on the description page. ### 4/5 — Great app. On the right track *2015-07-14, version 2.7.0* Very good app, but I can't work out why it has shops as sources for if a product is kosher. It should be solely from the kashrut authorities. Also it needs to add a "turn all authorities off" button then I can just switch on the 1 or 2 needed rather than having to turn them all off individually. ### 1/5 — Good idea, but inaccurate *2015-07-10, version 2.7.0* ne star for a great concept. But this implementation fails to reach its potential and I would not rely on it. Two examples: Two weeks after the London Bet Din started supervising Marmite, a search for Marmite returns Marmite (South Africa) as not kosher as the only result; South Africa's Union of Orthodox Synagogues, whose database the app scans, certifies Marmite spreads as kosher. Scanning the barcode (a brilliant idea) on a pack of Snyder's of Hanover's Cheddar Cheese Pretzel Pieces fails to identify the product. Typing in "Snyder's" returns that this particular product isn't kosher, citing that well-known kashrut authority Amazon Germany. The pack has an OU on the front and the app is set to scan the OU database. ### 2/5 — Kosher ip *2015-07-04, version 2.7.0* Very un accurate. Some products scanned are 100% kosher but it labeled as not kosher. ### 3/5 — Not yet very liable app *2015-04-28, version 2.5.0* The idea is great but as I was looking for some products and ingredients a question mark Pop up above my head.. I'm Familiar with a lot of products and ingredients and it wasn't trustful they need to update their app and scanner and put some more information that is not in for example Kinder Bueno stands for dairy but it's written as Parve .. Needs updated maybe server issue? Can’t find anything you scan. Even if they already have it saved it says can’t be found. It’s sad because this was really a great app. No one else had one like this except halal scanner for Muslims.... please fix! This is worse most useless app ever. Point it at a product with the OU next to the bar code and the app can’t find anything on the product. But after the latest update it crashes every time I try to load it. If it would start working again if give it more starts but I can't give more to an app that won't launch. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2016-07-19, version 4.5.1* They advertise the app as free, but once you download it and try to use it to get zero results. It takes a while to figure out that you have to download and subscribe to databases in order for it to work. Each database costs from $2.99 per week, $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. Without downloading a database this app is completely worthless. ### 1/5 — Not Happy *2015-12-12, version 4.0.0* Took an offline 1 year subscription at £39 and no way to restore it. The app gets stuck on loading.
