There seem to be some new ones out there. I’ll give them a try and hopefully they’ll be as good. ### 2/5 — Not reliable *2024-12-24, version 3.1.2* I used to use this app ALL of the time! It used to be amazing. Now, it has gone very much downhill. Cannot find the items I scan. Says “not sure” for almost everything. This app I used was the first vegan app I absolutely loved it but now it hasn’t been updated in years and it doesn’t work properly. You do a search and have to wait for the add to finish to get the result. 😡🙄 ### 1/5 — mmmmm nope *2021-03-21, version 3.1.2* everytime i try to scan a product, it immediately goes to a black screen before i can read the information on it. if i want to know what’s in my food, i have to quickly (and i mean QUICKLY) screenshot and even then can’t get all the info i’m looking at. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t tell you if an item is vegan *2021-02-06* I downloaded this to check if items I already have in my fridge are vegan or not as I transition into my vegan diet. First I scanned blueberry eggo waffles and it said “unsure” and under the list of unknown ingredients, every single one was there. To give it the benefit of the doubt, I scanned a bag of my partners frozen chicken nuggets. The same result came up: unsure. The only benefit of this app is it has all the ingredients on your screen so you can read them yourself more easily. Doesn’t tell you if it’s vegan or not though. ### 2/5 — Changed? *2021-02-05, version 3.1.2* I was using this for several years and it worked alright. Somehow it almost seems like a lot of items got deleted from its database recently. Items that I used to be able to search for now don’t even pop up. Very strange. Unfortunately I’ll have to switch to another app now ### 1/5 — Can’t trust for Vegan *2021-01-18, version 3.1.2* My mom and I are vegans and used app religiously. Unfortunately, We are finding products claimed to be vegan in app which are not. To give you an example: the most recent item found in app claimed as vegan which IS NOT vegan is Bark This snacking chocolate (dark chocolate coconut & almond). They may fix this product based on this message but there are other products like this claimed as vegan but are not. I tried emailing the app service but cannot find a workable email in contact page so posting this review as my last resort. I called the company and was told that none of their immune support powders were vegan. Therefore this app cannot be trusted to accurately tell you if a product is vegan or not. ### 1/5 — Didn’t seem to work *2026-05-10* I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but everything I scanned came back with the same result. ‘Could not determine if vegan’ ### 1/5 — Too many ads *2023-10-26, version 3.1.2* I understand having ads to support the app but the amount of ads that pop up are ridiculous can’t even finish reading the list before an ad pops up ### 1/5 — Not useful *2023-05-08* I scanned products that were clearly marked vegan, and it did not recognize them. I scanned a dozen other products that I did not recognize. And it’s like yeah that’s why I got you. To know for sure. So it’s no help at all. And items that are certified vegan they don’t see as completely vegan.
