I feel it’s definitely steering me in the right direction. Preparing me with both tree knowledge and how to deal with multiple choice questions. That in itself is a skill. The added AI is a great addition to the app. It seems it has become my go to when searching anything arboriculture. One request tho, I wish it could create images when answering questions. Gross *2026-08-18* Seems they may have fixed what I reviewed earlier, but at what cost. Now it’s a subscription model, and what I paid for before I no longer have access to, so there’s no telling if the app is good or not now. Way too expensive. **Developer response:** Hey! Best, Herman ### 1/5 — Not Useful For Exam *2026-01-13* I waisted a week of my life studying this material and none of this was related to test questions. So don’t think my taking mock exams on here you are getting an accurate assessment. I studied all 2500 questions and none where related to the test. This app has 100s of 5-star reviews, and plenty of people have attested to the benefits of this as a study material, so it definitely works. I would argue that regardless, you need to study more than a week, and as mentioned in the app, use it as a complement to the official study guide. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2025-02-20* Questions are repeated over and over again in Paid version. Best, Herman ### 3/5 — Generally Helpful, but Imperfect *2026-01-26* The app is packed with TONS of helpful questions for both learning and reviewing all the relevant material for becoming an arborist. However, I am finding the “Unseen Questions” feature to be dysfunctional/buggy. Even when asking for only questions I haven’t seen (and I have only done about 300 of the 3000 available questions), I am somehow getting repeat questions consistently and frequently. In my latest set of 10 unseen questions I actually somehow had 4 duplicate questions that showed up twice back-to-back. Still a helpful learning tool, but should be improved considering I am paying for this service. **Developer response:** Hi! Thanks a lot for this feedback! Edit: This has been fixed, thanks for the input! ### 3/5 — Problems *2025-08-02* Some of the questions have wrong answers. For example, a question asks what is not a disadvantage of topping and the correct answer on the app says that “reduction of the ability to compartmentalize” is the correct answer. So reducing the trees ability to heal is an advantage?? Its almost like a non english speaker wrote these questions. **Developer response:** You’re right—that answer key is wrong. “Reduced ability to compartmentalize” is a disadvantage of topping, not an advantage. I’ve flagged the item and will update the quiz so the correct “not-a-disadvantage” option is shown. Thanks for catching it! ### 3/5 — Poorly set up, but good questions *2025-02-18* You can only test 10 questions at a time, non selectively, and often there are repeat questions. Best, Herman ### 4/5 — Good app but got charged wrong. *2026-08-14* The app seems to have very relevant questions so far and I do like the flash card format… BUT I was supposed to be charged $39.99 and got charged $55.14 so buyer beware! Plus, the contact email just comes back undeliverable and there is no number to call! This was a helpful tool to find the weak points in my knowledge and dial in my studying. With the addition of ArbAI you can have a detailed explanation of the question to understand why a certain answer is better than the others and provide some more information to help you understand the concept.
