### 2/5 — Scrap prices

*2026-06-14, version 6.1*

Scrappy doesn’t update their website for pricing !!

### 2/5 — Pop-ups make it almost unusable

*2026-01-14*

The idea of this app is fantastic, but it takes a long time to load when you’re searching for things and it’s basically impossible to update your pricing because pop-ups are coming up with a video that you have to watch them to X out and actually enter prices

### 2/5 — Very jittery

*2025-09-19*

App jumps all over the map. Slow to search. Doesn’t respond well at all. Not up to date on prices. Not worth using right now

### 1/5 — Too many ads

*2025-07-03*

Every other screen pops up an ad. It’s a pain to use, and there’s less people using it, so it’s not user updated on pricing. There’s also yards I sell to that aren’t on the app. There has to be a better app available

### 1/5 — Nothing but ads!

*2025-05-06, version 5.1.5*

I use to go to this app all the time but now my screen is completely taken up by advertisements! Ridiculous.

### 1/5 — Nothing but problems and annoying popups

*2025-04-21, version 5.1.5*

Non stop popups and prices on the app aren’t even legit.
Then if you want to get a catalytic converter price you have to send in all this information just to get a $20 price.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t even show you local scrap yards

*2025-04-04, version 5.1.5*

Not a good app

### 1/5 — Being deleted

*2025-02-24*

App I about to be deleted because every time you click something now you get an ad popping up unlike how it used to be it was a good app but not anymore :(

### 3/5 — Good app, please offer premium no ad version

*2025-02-12*

Awesome data on here and very useful and easy to understand but the experience is crippled by ads. I would gladly pay a small fee for an ad free experience. This is like Bloomberg for guys running a small scrap business out of their truck. It’s perfect just no ads please!

### 1/5 — Nothing but problems

*2025-01-14*

This app will waste your time, incorrect prices and the yards that have prices on it will tell you not to use it if you are trying to get today’s price. Why would they even say that?? Because the prices aren’t up to date!

### 1/5 — Good idea, overrun by ads

*2025-01-13, version 5.1.5*

I really liked this app. Cool idea pulling metal rates and having others report theirs. Now it’s just an ad. Everything you do gets an ad. Don’t download it unless you like watching endless ads.

### 2/5 — Ads and crashes

*2024-12-21*

As many others have said, it is good for finding local scrapyards, but it is very difficult to input anything, and you are constantly bombarded with ads. The app has crashed on me several times when trying to enter prices for my local yard.

### 1/5 — iScrap is junk

*2024-12-21, version 5.1.5*

Downloaded, then hit an ad at every turn. Nope! Promptly deleted.

### 2/5 — Inaccurate prices

*2024-09-15*

The app is a great idea but it won’t let you upload accurate prices. For instance they have heavy metal for $240 a ton but most yards won’t pay anymore than $180 a ton for it.

### 2/5 — Adds Adds Adds

*2024-06-08*

Would be a great app if adds didn’t pop up every time when trying to get information and putting information into the app very very annoying and a waste of time

### 1/5 — Loaded with ads. Buggy and outdated.

*2024-05-22, version 5.1.2*

Don't agree? Try using the favorites feature and let me know how it works bc idk.

### 3/5 — Ads before the information I wanted

*2024-03-09*

Great idea! Who doesn’t like an ad for quick books or another useless service. Maybe offer a one time fee to get rid of the ads for people like myself?

I brought a complaint and offered a solution.

### 2/5 — Okay to find yards

*2024-01-10*

It’s okay to find yards but other than that that’s about it. I use to be able to update prices and all and see more prices but now it keeps telling me that it is inconsistent with other prices. I have a receipt of what I got and how much it is. Wether it’s inconsistent or not that is what the price was.

### 4/5 — Videos

*2023-01-21*

Wish there were more videos but I love the app

### 4/5 — Need price updated date

*2022-12-15*

It’s a good app, but when I look at the prices for my scrapyard, I have no clue how current the prices posted are.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — 0 stars if I could

*2026-07-15, version 6.2*

App is complete garbage. Won’t load any scrap yards near me even after allowing location. Don’t even waist your time. Who ever designed this app ate paint chips when they were kids.

### 1/5 — Slow, inaccurate, no real prices.

*2026-05-31*

The app is literally lagging like it's dropping frames to run, dunno if that's an aesthetic choice or if it's really struggling to do anything. I got to hear an interaction at a yard yesterday between an idiot using this app and a scrap yard manager about how their prices don't match what's online. The yard doesn't use this and I can't find any reported prices from that yard on this app. When I tried to share a price, the app refuses to accept it because it's "inconsistent with our data". Guess what, not every yard pays the same and if you're trying to let people help others to know what to expect, you have to let them. The same yard has pickup services listed that they have never provided. There's also no way that I can see to contact iScrap directly about these issues, so you get this review instead.

### 1/5 — Pretty Useless

*2026-05-27*

Tells you to submit pricing but when you do and its lower it doesn't let you, it says its not consistent with their database. It should let people scan receipts and update prices that way. Deleting.

### 1/5 — Just use the website

*2026-05-22, version 6.1*

So many full screen interstitial video ads it’s basically unusable.

### 1/5 — Flawed

*2026-03-20*

The prices and scrapyards are rarely ever updated. So many ads that it’s unusable. Some ads freeze mid way and you have to close and reopen the app just to repeat this process a minute later. Deleting this app. Not useful and frustrating.

### 1/5 — Long ads and no real prices

*2025-10-20*

If you love to sit through long ads for phone games or drinks, this is the perfect app. It has almost nobody contributing data or prices, but every minute minutes you will spend on it trying to find prices you’ll spend other minute stuck on a full screen ad that forces you to crash the app just to start over! I even tried to add data and it keeps telling me my data isn’t consistent with their data. Easy delete.

### 1/5 — Used to be good

*2025-09-23*

Been using this app for many years. Not a lot of good yards in my area so I didn’t reinstall the app to my new phone until tonight since we’re getting ready to make a road trip. Apparently the developer chose to throw their lot in with all the other junk apps that are ad supported, but unlike the others there’s no ad-free “PRO” version for those of us that hate ad supported freebie garbage.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2025-08-31, version 5.1.5*

App is completely unusable due to constant ads. I’m talking ads every minute bad! Complete waste of time, every click or two another ad pops up.

### 1/5 — Ads

*2025-08-31, version 5.1.5*

That on x ad ruined the app for me can’t click anything without the ad

### 1/5 — Too many ads

*2025-07-20, version 5.1.5*

After every 3 clicks you get an add. All information on this app is either old and outdated or even non existent for a lot of scrap yards. Nothing about this app is helpful.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — IScrap app

*2022-05-15*

It is helpful to see scrap yards near me😀.

I recommend it to people who want to see scrap prices and to see scrap yards near them.

### 5/5 — More input

*2021-11-23*

We need more input from scrappers and scrap yards on this app it’s up to the individual who decides to post what the current price is and some scrap yards should post what there paying and why you should go to them

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-05-15, version 4.2.1*

This app is wonderful for new scrappers.

### 5/5 — Scrap purchase price.

*2020-06-26, version 4.1*

Hi,

Do you offer a service for providing price if you want to purchase scrap from a yard in 100s of tons for business?

### 5/5 — Scrap prices

*2019-09-20, version 3.1.1*

I like this app for its current sell prices.

### 5/5 — Reliable and informative

*2019-05-20, version 3.1.1*

Using the app I was easily able to check prices and get connections with who I need

### 5/5 — So easy and efficient

*2017-08-31, version 3.0*

For those scrapers looking for easy and location specific prices, there's nowhere better than the iScrap app. Awesome revamp of the app lets users see up to date prices all your favorite materials. Two thumbs up!

### 5/5 — Scrap Prices All Over!

*2017-08-26, version 3.0*

It's awesome to look at yards and see prices people got for their scrap and put in prices that I got for mine too. Easy to use.

### 5/5 — Great app ever!!!!

*2015-01-01, version 2.0*

This is a awesome app!! I own GIT-R-DONE RECYCLING AND HAULING and this app has helped me get the best money when I am hauling metals in other towns. Best app out there!!! I love reading all the great tips on how to earn more cash on different things that pay more money if taken apart

### 5/5 — Master plumber

*2013-09-12, version 2.0*

One of the best apps I've loaded. Picks up your location and tells you were closest scrap yard is. Only downside more yards need to sign up for daily price listings
