One thing I need to make a Feedback on is the bugs. When I send my responses, it either has a connection error, or it takes a long time for the response to load and—therefore—ruins the whole tempo for the storyline. The problem is that the AI has the memory span of a goldfish. A key factor of whatever story you're playing is implemented, and suddenly 10 messages later and the AI acts like said key factor is a completely new and out of the blue thing. Please improve the memory of the AI, and your readings will probably improve as well. ### 5/5 — Highly recommend *2026-04-25* Out of all the ai chat apps I’ve tried, ISEKAI Zero tops them all! The money spent to Mana gained ratio is excellent. I’m so looking forward to the subscription model coming. Stories are very engaging and ai chat options are well thought out. As a story writer myself, I thoroughly enjoy using this app. ### 4/5 — Extremely frustrating *2026-04-09, version 1.1.6* I like the app, as it has great memory and responses out of all the others I have tried. However, the mana usage and such are insane, even with the free version. I’m not even sure how I even use mana with that. I tried to ask in discord, but that clearly was a bad idea as only insults and laughs come my way. No guidance or help at all. The AI assist also was no help, even as I followed its instructions. It was nice though that it tried. The fact that I used 10 mana in just a few exchanges was insane. Seriously, how? I tried turning off all additional settings that would eat at my mana too. But no use? I really need help here, because at this point, I can’t even play this. It’s good, but… yeah, no… ### 5/5 — Addictive! *2026-04-09* It’s amazing to have a hand in your fantasies /stories ### 5/5 — Fun but it has an annoying flaw *2026-04-08* I recently just picked up this app and it’s quite addictive I’m not gonna lie, but the only problem that I’ve really encountered is how you can’t acquire any more mana efficiently to keep playing. It would’ve been a good decision to allow people to buy some more mana, or even add a subscription, that’s a good way to make money for the app in my opinion. In terms of Ai generated content, I’d argue that this app does it better than current day Character.Ai. ### 5/5 — Honest review *2026-04-06* Brilliant story game. It’s a huge shame about the gems like with all these apps but I’m still forcing myself to watch ads to continue the story. Maybe give more gems for ads tho? It really isn’t much. ### 4/5 — Expensive but enjoyable *2026-04-02* The app can be a bit expensive. Not unmanageably so but still a bit costly. However, with a little bit of practice to learn how it likes to respond to you, and a bit of training to tell it to stop doing certain annoyances. It’s an enjoyable experience. You can even make your own plot and characters and keep it private if your creative enough and motivated enough for it. Or you can do one of the pre made adventures created by other users and go from there. ### 3/5 — Prices scam *2026-03-18* The place is very money hungry and customer support will not help you. If there are problems with the app they won’t fix it they will tell you it’s your fault even when it isn’t. Other thing that is really messed up. Their price range is complete busted. Mana you collect will get used even when you aren’t using it. The arcane prices are messed up. They change you 40$ for 3000 and 80$ for only 5000 I brought this to their attention they said they don’t do anything about it or fix the pricing even though it’s a clear ripoff. Fine app just really money hungry and customer support won’t help you. Avoid higher tier pricing. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Poor *2026-05-12* It’s just another AI role-play app that promises a lot but fails to actually deliver. I’ve yet to try one that can actually remain coherent and keep on track with a story/setting. The free to play system is terrible, you can burn through your daily mana in a couple of messages using a decent AI. To earn a pittance more mana, you can watch degenerate ads. Free AI models are available, but they’re extremely poor and hit a context limit quickly. You can’t even get past the introduction of most stories with them. For paid options, there is no monthly payment or membership available. Simply buy credits and have them rapidly consumed by AI that may or may not generate a decent response. For a positive: The visual novel mode and image generation attached to it seemed pretty impressive for the small amount I used it. Too bad the costs make everything feel kind of pointless. ### 2/5 — Sucks *2026-08-03* It’s was great for the first week, memory was great, responses were lengthy and detailed, it was overall a good game but whenever I got past that first week it completely signed me out, got rid of all of my data, and completely washed my account on there. If you value your time don’t install. ### 2/5 — A Dream with Problems *2026-07-25* Overall it’s great, I love the storytelling and the scenarios I can interact with. The pricing is wonderful for arcane and up to $50 it’s good value. I would personally rate it five stars. However the largest problems on the app are the Ai. Using premium Ais, it seems every storyteller suffers heavily from Metagaming and Continuity breakage. Alongside mismatching characters and forgetting details. I love the app but I’m having to remind the Ai every few messages not to meta game or break immersion and it gets so frustrating. ### 2/5 — AI storytelling just isn’t good enough yet. *2026-06-26* I’ve tried many apps now - around twenty at least. I walk away from every one feeling disappointed. I really want AI storytelling/roleplay to work well, but find I’m constantly correcting mistakes and inconsistencies. This is made worse by the fact that I’m charged for each message, even if the message has to be redone several times. I feel like Isekai Zero makes a good effort, and has a great platform and ui, but I’m still just not satisfied with the ability of even ‘higher end’ (like deepseek v4 pro) AI bots. I haven’t tried the absolute best bots because they would just chew through currency too quickly. As my $5 worth of mana runs out, I’m unsure whether I’ll bother continuing. Also: the costs seem very strange sometimes. With deepseek v4 pro most of my messages cost anywhere from 0.15 to 0.7 mana/arcane, then suddenly I’ll get slammed by one that costs 4-6. There is no notable difference in content, just a huge difference in cost. The lack of a monthly paid option also feels bad. ### 2/5 — ? *2026-04-05* The app is really confusing with the difference between storylines and characters just have is as one bot so it's not confusing ### 2/5 — Image Generation *2026-03-17* Overall fun app to use to pass the time and so far seems decent value for money. Though their memory token system could use some serious improvements if they ever want to be than a basic bargain app. Oddly when choosing to generate new images in the app nothing ever changes. Settings never change when moving to a cafe or movie theatre. Always the same character images in the same backdrops. Really breaks immersion when talking over a coffee and for some reason the image is their sleepwear (?). No way to force an image generation either so you’re stuck hoping the app just works. ### 3/5 — Pictures and videos failing to load *2026-08-06* The previews and images are not loading when exploring or messaging, it breaks the immersion. If I don't generate new content for a while the next message ends up costing 100% mana and my entire daily allowance. I save up for a month and enjoy some story on the cheap but end up with a bill to summarize chapters, each one costing my daily allowance. There is no winning with patience. And I hate to think how quickly paid gems would dissapear with this kind of variance. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Best AI Storyboard App Period! *2026-08-10* The developers are responsive, transparent, and incredible. They keep a firm standard about what they allow to bleed over from NSFW categories, and the pricing is incredible compared to other apps. $10 on this app is a solid month or more of play time. No hidden cash grabs, no separate pay walls… just a genuinely awesome community, even if the do have a weird NTR obsession 🤷😎. Love you IsekaiZero fam. ### 5/5 — NSFW bloqué ? *2026-08-06* Je changerais ma note si le problème est réglé car l’ia est très très bonne ( un peu lente à répondre mais on n’a rien sans rien) et que les accès gratuits sont pas trop restrictifs, mais il semble que le NSFW soit bloqué ? j’ai configuré mon personnage comme +18 pourtant lorsque le bot rédige du NSFW, le message est automatiquement bloqué par l’application. Certaines intrigues bloquent le NSFW ? Il faut configurer quelque chose dans les paramètres ? Il me semble que l’appli autorise le NSFW si il y a un mode +18 ### 5/5 — Honnêtement excellent ! *2026-07-30* Une mémoire hors pair, une logique à couper le souffle, des scénarios variés. L’ia est globalement excellente. Concernant la monnaie utilisée pour chatter, celle ci est ( à l’heure où j’écris ) donné en quantité assez généreuse pour rarement être à court avec un usage modéré, en bref cet une app exceptionnelle et généreuse, seul défaut actuel je dirais l’ergonomie, au début on se demande que signifie quoi. Mostly because it have a great memory system and a simple way to present it to its users. ### 5/5 — My honest thoughts *2026-07-10* Honestly, I was genuinely surprised when I first used this, I had a different account and fresh chat history, I really enjoyed my time, and granted I was using the free currency you have to use, let’s move on to that, it’s a bit of a hit or miss but you get roughly around 3-5 messages from just 1.0 of the free currency which is actually really nice and sometimes more depending on what ai it’s uses. I admit, I spent money on this, but that was after using it for 5 months just running on the free currency, which you get 1 per day and gradually increases, and you can also watch ads to get an additional 5, so at one point I had 150 ish of the free currency and that lasted me a good while, and I haven’t been disappointed much, sure the ai does have its limits but even on the chats that say they aren’t 18 you can still make them 18, which is great in my opinion, so please don’t change that. Overall, I really enjoy using this app and will continue to do so, and there’s no need to spend money, you can honestly just login, claim your free 1-2 currency and hop off, and just let that build up, and it will take you a good while before you run out. It hardly ever bugs out, and whenever it does it’s mainly because it’s going through maintenance, if you want a genuinely good ai chat to use, this is the one ### 5/5 — I like it now. *2026-07-05* Deleted my previous review because I’m dumb and didn’t know better on how to use my mana, which had me use 5-10 mana each response at the time. But now, I’m still confused how the mana consumption and LLMs “fully” work, since I usually pay around .80 to 1.20 mana for each response now, but I’m getting the hang of it. Too bad I suck at making stories though. I just enjoy other people’s worlds. It’s fun getting laughs when you have powers to humiliate those snobby nobles or just spread lies about them for even more humiliation. Not sure how my character dies sometimes when I just press continue over and over again.
