## What is Ishra?

Ishra is a calm, modern journal for your five daily prayers. Every prayer you log makes your orb glow a little brighter. No account and no ads.

YOUR OWN RECORD
• Log the five prayers: alone, in congregation, or at the masjid
• Add a photo, how your heart felt, and a short note
• A qada ledger for prayers you are making up
• Ishra never checks your prayer. It is your own record.

BUILT AROUND FIQH
• Sunnah journal: rawatib, Duha, Tahajjud and Witr
• Travel mode: mark shortened and combined prayers, following your school
• Rest days for sisters: the streak never breaks for days you do not pray
• Jumu'ah for brothers, Hijri dates, and 12 prayer time methods including Kemenag, JAKIM, MWL and Umm al-Qura

A RHYTHM YOU CAN SEE
• An orb that brightens with each prayer
• A monthly calendar and Journey: streaks, congregation and mood
• Verses for how you feel, from the Qur'an, never generated
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets

TIME TO FOCUS, IF YOU WANT IT
• Optionally let your chosen apps step aside while a prayer window is open, through Apple's Screen Time
• Ishra never learns which apps you chose

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no server, no tracking. Everything stays on your iPhone.
• Free. Supporting Ishra is a sadaqah.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-10-23

Fixes and polish:
• Your best streak now counts only the days you completed
• Four verses now show exactly the ayah they name
• Delete everything now removes every photo, including your profile photo
• Backups now keep your fiqh settings, rest days, travel, moods and focus windows
• Dhikr and Qibla fit smaller screens, small text is easier to read, and buttons are easier to tap
• The prayer pause now refreshes its schedule in the background
• Prayer times now follow the official Kemenag and JAKIM schedules, safety minutes included
• Every screen reads properly at the largest text sizes
• Logging after the time has passed? Mark a prayer you prayed in its time, and it won't count as late or as qada
• On a trip, Friday's midday prayer is shown as Dhuhr
• Clearer wording on fiqh topics, checked against hadith and fiqh sources
• New: choose an adhan for your prayer reminders, from five voices including an Indonesian adhan
• Journal photos now take far less space, and older ones can be shrunk in Settings
