### 3/5 — Top speed way off

*2019-07-15, version 5.0.2*

I have a track that says my top speed is 11.4 mph, and took a screen shot that showed me at 14 mph. No trees or tall buildings in the way..Really disappointing that for the past few years it has lied to me about top speeds.

### 3/5 — inaccurate GPS and Calories measurements

*2015-08-12, version 5.0.2*

Pro’s:
export to 1-2 sports
export track to email
one of the few skate app out there
Con’s:
developpers do not listen to users, no feed-back.
GPS is inaccurate
Calories count is inaccurate (without hear monitoring)
I only give it three stars because to me, it is absolutely inacceptable to not be able to report bugs and get feed-back. No excuse. You can get the same using Vima, and they do take your advice.
Narrative:
I use several tracking devices to compare one with the other; Vima, iSkate, Polar watch, Timex IronMan Global Trainer.
I skate several times a week on the same track, measured at 1.2 miles.
The Vima App is the closest to the actual distance. Almost perfect over several distances and a month of attempts.
The iSkate App counts less in all situations.
The worse is the Timex Global Trainer, but there is an explanation. The GPS on that watch is totally inefficient, and it looses connection along the track, resulting in a totally shorter false distance.
The Polar watch does not have GPS, but I use it as the reference for Calories.
Heart Rate is monitored by both the Timex and the Polar;
The Polar is the most accurate.
So, for a three hours skate here are the values:
iSkate: 1385 kcal
Polar: 2098 kcal
Vima: 3733 kcal
The Polar is the only that monitors heart rate.

### 4/5 — I am loving this app! Few suggestions ...

*2010-06-15, version 0*

Thank you for creating this app just for skating!
I have a few requests/suggestions:

Want ability to post results to FB.

Like that I can name tracks.

Distance reading seems to be more accurate than SportyPal's skate mode.

GPS loads faster than SportyPal app. Good job!

Don't like how you have to hit "sure?" twice to end a session. Seems awkward ... little confusing.

While I do like the ability to pause a session, when I pause a session, sometimes it asks me if I want to "resume", sometimes it does not. Consistency issue? Not sure what is happening there.

### 4/5 — UPDATE - New opinions now that I have used it more.

*2010-01-28, version 0*

Ok I have used this app for a while and this new version is improved. my only complaint is the mapping is poor and hard to use when you want to find a route back home compared to the Iphone map software the phone uses. It takes way to for the map features like enlarge or pan etc....
All other features work very well with the new version.
For $10 I wished the map was better. Perhaps the next version will improve the map.
P.S. I contacted the support and it took a couple days but I got a good reply that explained what I asked about. That is always a good sign from a developer.
With the new version I can recommend it now!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-05-24, version 5.0.2*

Bought it work on my i watch as advertised unfortunately it does not

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2020-05-11, version 5.0.2*

I have never reviewed anything before, but this app is despicable especially considering the $10 price tag! Not only did it not track my route, it never tracked my speed. The only thing It did correctly was the stopwatch Function. Yet, if I’m not moving at all it says I’m going 2-4MPH. This is around my house, where there are no network issues. Save your money and get Map my Ride unless you want to purchase an expensive stopwatch.

### 1/5 — You can’t post your results

*2018-06-05, version 5.0.2*

You can’t post your results to Facebook.
I want my money back

### 1/5 — Don't buy until update!

*2017-03-11, version 5.0.2*

Working very inaccurate.
No connection (does' work at all) with iHealth.
Watch app don't measure pulse!!!

### 1/5 — Privacy

*2016-07-13, version 5.0.2*

Having the only 'Option' for GPS tracking to be 'Always (even when not using the app)' or 'Never' makes what would otherwise be a terrific app a privacy invading POS.

### 1/5 — Not updated

*2015-12-07, version 5.0.2*

The worst app ever. Can I get my 10$ back?
No I can't. Don't buy it.

### 1/5 — Broken and still crashing...

*2015-05-29, version 5.0*

The e-mail in this version is not working for me, can you guys fix it please

### 1/5 — Please fix

*2015-05-22, version 5.0*

Ok, I liked the app a lot until you came out with version 5.0. Now the app doesn't open even after rebooting my phone. Sorry about leaving a poor review but I can't find a way to send an email letting you know it's broken.

### 2/5 — Flawed

*2020-07-03, version 5.0.2*

Didn’t track my calories or record my max speed. No better than the free app I’ve been using.

### 2/5 — Needs an update

*2020-06-03, version 5.0.2*

The Watch app cant be installed because it needs an update. The GPS track seems to be inaccurate. Pretty disappointing for $10.

### 5/5 — Awesome Skating App!!!

*2016-07-21, version 5.0.2*

I love this skating app! I am a hard core outdoor street skater and the app is so easy to use to track your skates. All standard metrics are tracked including calories consumed.

Keep track of your skate via mapping and runtime stats as you go with voice feedback.

They do a good job up keeping up to date with IOS. I have been using it a few years now regularly.

Fantastic app in my view. 5 stars for sure.

### 5/5 — Works Great!

*2016-01-21, version 5.0.2*

I wanted an app that would track my movement put it on a map and give me some basic telemetry, and iskate works great!(Even on my old iphone 4S running ios 9.2) It only requires that your device has a gps chip and doesn't use cellular or wifi data to collect information. I would however love a feature that allowed me to download new tracks and get turn by turn directions.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2013-12-07, version 4.0.1*

Exactly what I was looking for! GPS tracks distance, speed, top speed, calories burned, etc. Sink information to their website. Global online community. Share your track information and see where others have been as well. Highly recommend, worth every penny!!

### 5/5 — Finally an application I have been looking for!!!

*2012-05-22, version 3.1*

Thank you so much guys for this application it was worth the money!!! I am an avid inline skater for fitness. I have been having difficulty finding a tool to capture my distance, climb, calories etc. There are a bike apps out there, but nothing for inline skating. I was so disappointed until I found you!!!

This app makes it into my top 5!!

Thank you soooooo much!
europa

### 5/5 — Walk, Run and Role-wk. 4

*2012-01-28, version 3.1*

This app is excellent!

### 5/5 — As close to perfect as you can hope for.

*2011-08-10, version 3.0*

I have purchased over 50 apps, and this is the only review I've bothered to write. It's just that good. I love being able to share my tracks with team mates, and compare top speeds. I can send workouts to my email, and the 1-2-sports website, which I also love using. It's like they had me in mind when they wrote this app.

### 5/5 — I'm skating since 13 years but now it's so much more fun!

*2009-07-03, version 0*

If you like skating around central park in NYC or anywhere else in the world you will like this app as much as I do. I carry it in an armband so I can always see my current speed at a glance. It also shows live values for distance, altitude and even calories! Plus you can email your trail to proof your workout which is really amazing. If you did not get it yet from review: I truly love this app and I can't wait for updates. What about showing nearby skaters in the map???

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2009-06-30, version 0*

Tried it for a while now - skating the boardwalk is fun! Is much better than computer I had for my skates. That involved changing the wheels, heaps of cabling, etc. With iSkate I have speed plus map track without these hassles, just attached to my arm :) Works pretty good. Asked support about some feature (lock screen, so not touch sens) and they replied they'll take care about it soon. (otherwise u have to be careful not to touch anything while recording..). Two thumbs up here.

### 5/5 — If you already listen to the music of your iPhone while skating, you should get this!

*2009-05-07, version 0*

The app works as advertised with high accuracy (compared to my home skate track) and very stable for me! I use it with the Belkin Armband from the Apple online store and can even listen to my iPod music while I use the app.

The best thing that I did not even dream about: Whatching my rides in Google Earth is so much fun... :-) Now I can show cool tracks to people that have not been there.

This gets my full recommendation!

### 4/5 — iskate 3.0 Really cool, better if tweaked!

*2011-07-02, version 3.0*

What a cool app! If you are either a pro or are just a beginner I strongly recommend this app. Many of the features are relevant to all skaters, such as climbed altitude (which is approximate at best), current speed, average speed, maximum speed, stop watch, and trip distance. I am suspicious about the accuracy of "calories burned", but it is still a useful training tool especially for fitness skaters trying to drop a few pounds. I purchased this app in November 2010 and I have logged over 1500 miles using this app several times a week without any problems or glitches. One feature that I turned off the second time I used the app was the auto-pause. I found that pausing the device manually gave me more accurate times especially since many of my runs are on the same circuit and I am racing the clock down to tenths of a second. My biggest complaint is where the "start/pause" button is located on the screen. I have found that when my iphone is in my armband (which I strongly suggest you buy) that this button is difficult to activate. I would like to see this button near the top center of the screen and move the timer to the side so that you are not tapping the screen through the armband's covering furiosly at busy intersections trying to get the timer to pause. I have found that the "all values" screen is the most useful for my daily circuits and that the map features are useful skating in new places. I love the new version's ability to share your runs and I'm glad to see that they are trying to update the app since it is rather expensive (as far as apps go). I love the ease of logging my runs, however I would like to see a "notes" option so that information such as combinations of wheel durometer, bearing combos, weather conditions, road conditions, etc, can all be easily logged with your run data for easy reference. My only other complaint is the graphic of the opening screen shows a pair of skates from like 1989. Couldn't you guys find a cooler, more current picture? Over all the app is worth the money ( I love that the cursor is a skater). If the changes I have suggested were implemented I would give the app 5 stars!
