I can't get new issues to load. And every time I try to look at my first magazine I get a blue screen. So just enjoy your first magazine till they get the bugs worked out. To bad it's my first digital subscription and now I don't know if I ever want to try another. Complete and total waste of money. Hope the developer resolves this discrepancy. However, after only one day of having Islands (and having it work), the app no longer responds. It crashes immediately. This is a shame, too, because I subscribe to the paper edition and was looking forward to perusing the iPad version with my wife next week on our beach vacation. This app just tells me that I have no WiFi connection when I actually do and there’s nothing to see or log into. Is it supposed to be online magazine issues? Photos? What is the point? ### 1/5 — Needs attention will not open. *2014-11-08, version 5.0.14* This will not open on my 6 plus. It does however open on a iPad Air 2. So this is not an IOS 8 issue. Also, it would or should work in landscape view. As long as you keep it like that, the paper version is better. "Islands Magazine" so far has had good informative articles on many destinations and the accompanying pics look so vibrant and beautiful on my 3rd gen iPad that I just want to pack up my bags and travel to those destinations every time I open up this magazine. ### 5/5 — Great for the island traveler *2011-01-08, version 1.3* This is a great app for anyone planning an island vacation (real or imaginary). I don't understand the negative reviews. So far all content has been for free and I'd pay the subscription price for new magazines as the iPad is the perfect delivery system for this content. The photographs are much richer with the background lighting, and you have access to so many more pictures. I use one of the photos as my wallpaper. Even the ads are outstanding as you get to explore hotels and resorts in a much more engaging and interactive format than with a paper magazine or even a website. ### 5/5 — Like it! *2010-10-21, version 0* Rich content. The issues available to download are the same that you will find on the magazine rack so you will be able to download the editions that you are interested in. The reader is free. I bought the annual subscription but the issues were still listed at $3.99. I sent an inquiry into their support group and they took care of it right away.
