### 5/5 — Great app

*2022-04-30, version 1.8*

Only isochronic app out there that’s any good. Love it goes so high and low on the Hz spectrum.

### 5/5 — Just what I wanted!

*2022-04-18*

If you use isochronic tones this app is a must! Great customizability, does exactly what I wanted it to & more. I don’t usually spend money on apps but I’m happy I took the chance with this one.

### 5/5 — So. Simple.

*2021-10-06*

Amazing! Only one thing I wish to see added though, and that’s a timer for the duration of going from one frequency to another. Currently, the only timer is for the duration of a session.

### 5/5 — Great and simple app for brain hacking!

*2021-07-03*

I’ve been using and making binaural beats, then Isochronic tones for my own personal research/curiosity for years and wished there was a simple app that did just this. Thanks for making this tool! It’s so stable and I love that it can play while other sounds are going .

Could I request the carrier frequency range be increased to 20khz? Higher 12-14khz sounds are very nice on the ears with gamma brain waves in the 40-55hz range.

### 5/5 — Cool app

*2021-03-27, version 1.8*

Hey I would pay more money if you were able to put like 3 different Isochronic tones I can use at once

### 5/5 — Basically basic, yet ...

*2020-10-07*

Basically basic, yet it works well. Excellently solid with great potential for improving.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2019-06-25, version 1.8*

simple to use, love the new update, but preferred the pink colour over purple, but that's really unimportant

### 5/5 — thank you for the new features

*2019-06-17*

i just wanna say thank you to the developers of this app. the number one feature is that it stays on in the background meaning you can listen to what ever music track you like through your streaming service and still have the app running. they just added meditation and sleep patterns that randomly change around a frequency meaning your brain never figures out. thus your entrainment sessions will continue to be effective each time you use the app. thank you thank you thank you ♾🙏

### 5/5 — Awesome app, easy to use.

*2019-06-16*

I use isochronic tones primarily as a sleep aid. With only a couple of exceptions, I have used this app every night (60 days) since It was downloaded. I set it to 8hz and use the auto shut off timers (20 minutes) and I’m out for the night.

### 5/5 — Isochronic

*2019-05-07, version 1.7*

It’s awesome, I use it to fall asleep at 6hz. Way more effective and comfortable than binaural. No nonsense app. Please write a iPad version.

### 5/5 — Nicely done

*2019-02-17*

Straight forward isochronic generator that you can combine with your music or whatever.

### 5/5 — Wow

*2018-07-19, version 1.7*

Just started using tones to effect mood. Unbelievable how well this works!!

### 5/5 — Whoa

*2017-05-18*

First time in eight years I felt compelled to write a review. This app is amazing in its effectiveness and simplicity – a few enhancements would make it a six star! Thank you!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Expensive for no reason

*2013-10-14, version 1.6*

I was at least expecting some information about what tones to create. The info buttons literally don't do anything. No reason why this stupid app should cost 6$ I hope no one else makes the same mistake I did by buying it. It is obvious that minimal effort went into creating this app.

### 2/5 — Where do I start?

*2014-01-11, version 1.6*

I can't believe there's no guidance on what tones to use for what purpose. This app cost 6 dollars and I don't even know where to start. I'm not against learning, but when the site has a link to a Wikipedia article and no actual info they don't even care.

### 3/5 — Clicking Effect in Speakers

*2025-11-09*

The app seems to produce a “clicking” effect when run through a good set of powered speakers. The clicking effect stops when run at the same time as another app that is simultaneously playing music.

**Developer response:** May you tell us which freqs were playing in the app? Thanks a lot

### 3/5 — Competent

*2015-11-13, version 1.6*

Not worth the price, but a relatively good product.

### 4/5 — Useful, besides random pausing

*2024-11-23*

The tone will pause randomly when I receive a notification. Besides that, I enjoy the app and the UI

### 4/5 — Simple and effective tool

*2023-12-06*

This is a very simple and useful tool for entrainment. I used it to experiment with my meditation and inducing faster deeper entry into meditative state. It worked for me. I’m going to try it for others things now ( studying, staying alert, etc). The one thing I wish the app would do is gradually ramp down volume as it reaches the time to stop versus a hard stop as it does now. Overall, the app is well done. Thank you.

### 4/5 — Good simple app

*2023-07-14*

I like the quick sliders on the front end, I would give 5 stars if I could type the desired frequencies rather than scroll to them

### 4/5 — Great

*2021-06-21*

Lost my ambuscience 100. So glad to find this. Would like to have a little wider range of freqs, like for intuition. Really like that it will play with my music, has timer. Thank you. Worth the $5 to me.

### 4/5 — Simple interface and program works well

*2021-06-06*

Would have give five stars if there were more
slots to save presets and more information where frequencies are used

### 4/5 — Awesome flexibility

*2020-07-05*

I bought this app to use with a Bluetooth speaker, since most binaural beats require headphones to be effective. The sliders allow you to set the exact frequencies you want, which gives you much more flexibility compared to some of the pre-made audio tracks available. And there are 4 memory buttons that you can use to save the specific frequencies if you find a combination that is particularly effective for you, as well as 4 built-in frequency presets to get you started. And the built-in timer is also incredibly convenient!

The functionality of the app is perfect, and the only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars was for minor issues with the interface. Because the main controls are sliders, there not 100% accurate. But clicking on the arrows doesn’t change the value of the slider, but takes you to a different page with a picker control. This page is also where the specific information about the different frequencies is located, but it would be nice if there was a centralized location where you could read up on all the different types of frequencies and their benefits.

Basically things are a bit spread out, and for a paid app, I’d expect things to be a bit more organized. Other than that, it works great!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-01-10*

I enjoy being able to customize and save tones that fit my needs.

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2025-05-09*

Hi! I love everything about this app. Thank you for creating it!!

One request: is it possible to extend the timer? I want to be able to play the sound for more than an hour. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Simple and excellent

*2024-12-24, version 1.9*

Delivers custom isochronic tones

### 5/5 — Exactly it + nothing more = AWESOME

*2024-08-30*

Isochronic tones with a simple Interface — that’s it. You can layer other apps over this one for any effect you want . . . and the isochronics are already handled.

### 5/5 — Use it for focus and sleep

*2024-07-12*

Whenever I need to hunker down and get work done, I start this app along with some background music and—idk if it’s the placebo effect or what—I can get stuff done so efficiently. Same with sleep. I listen to a podcast before bed and have this on in the background and I can feel myself being slowly lulled.

### 5/5 — it works with media!

*2023-12-26, version 1.9*

i really wanted to play isochronic tones over other media like music or youtube, but for the most part ios doesn’t really allow that. i’m thrilled to find that this app works in the background! i would like to be able to change the amount of time over which the tones ramp to the target frequency since it currently happens very quickly and i don’t find that very useful, and if we could tell it to play x frequency for y minutes followed by x frequency for y minutes with multiple sections it would be really cool for all sorts of stuff like falling asleep or getting started in a project.

### 5/5 — Brilliant app!

*2023-09-01*

Does exactly what it needs to, works brilliantly and is by far the best one I've found. I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Love this. Totally worth the price

*2023-06-21*

Looking for something just like this.

### 5/5 — Yes!

*2023-05-15*

Not gonna lie, I thought binaural beats were cool and then I discovered Isochronic tones and it changed everything

### 5/5 — AWESOME!!!!

*2022-09-23, version 1.8*

The BEST
