## Most critical reviews (8 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2018-06-07, version 1.1*

This app doesn’t show how you get more atoms. Gameplay is repetitive and boring. Some steps are totally pointless. Also It will not let me get a new isotope. I am stuck on Hydrogen 5 which is my first one and will not let me get a new one no matter what I try. this app is horrid. DO NOT GET. All in all this app is boring, repetitive and pointless.

### 1/5 — Useless App! Don’t waste your time

*2015-11-19, version 1.0*

Isotopolis - "Isotopolis seeks to teach players about the world of particle physics through play.” It would be nice if they provided some instruction on what I’m supposed to be doing on each stage. There’s no home button to get out of the app. You have to click the iPad home button just to get back to the main screen. No real direction or point. It would nice to have some descriptions or purpose. App needs lots of work.

### 2/5 — Suffers from lack of purpose

*2017-04-15, version 1.1*

Most of the mechanics in the game serve no purpose. Many tasks complete themselves after a time limit. There are also some arbitrary power ups that have too many negative effects and, after a very early stage in the game, it becomes impossible to obtain more. The game is far too repetitive for the massive length that it spans(after several hours I was only 2% done). The least sensical part of the game is the point system. You earn points based on how quickly you finish tasks for each new isotope, but for the last portion, it is nearly impossible to earn any points at all. However, the game has no way of giving the points any value besides the handful of useless upgrades. In summation, the game's unchallenging interface, the endless(and endlessly long) gameplay, and the pointless points, the game suffers from a lack of any reason to play the game.

### 4/5 — MISINFORMATION

### 5/5 — Fun game

*2025-06-27, version 1.2*

This is a fun game! I get what the lower ratings are saying but this is a fun game to pass time and has some nice information. The instructions could be improved on, and the acceleration steering is a bit buggy, but a good game. Thanks, Dr. Z!

### 5/5 — FRIB on top!!

*2024-07-12, version 1.2*

Fun game! Hi Dr Z!! 👋🏼

### 5/5 — i 💚 rare isotopes

*2023-02-20, version 1.2*

this is the greatest game I have ever played. when my nucleus crashes into other nuclei i feel such pure unfiltered joy that i truly feel like a quantum physicist. the only suggestion i would have is to make this game multiplayer so i can share my love of rare isotope beams with my multiple friends. please download this game now

### 5/5 — Hi Dr.Zach!
