## Newest reviews (13 of 54)

### 2/5 — Not acceptable at this stage

*2021-03-16, version 1.5*

Very slow to recognise the words and could only write less than half of the sentence.
It needs a lot of improvement

### 1/5 — Diggle

*2014-10-02, version 1.2*

If you fancy a really good laugh, down load this Ap. It gets everything hilariously wrong, no matter how clearly or slowly you dictate. I thoroughly and wholeheartedly recommend this Ap, purely for its comic quality. However if you intend to use it seriously, don't bother!

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2014-08-06, version 1.2*

Rarely gets what you say right; settings just keeps loading indefinitely; if you speak too much it just overloads and gives you nothing. Absolute garbage!

### 1/5 — Did not like this app

*2014-05-04, version 1.2*

Transcription was only fair. I had way too many sexually explicit words come up in the text that I did not even come close to saying phonetically so I just deleted this app. I have no time to mess around with an app that defaults to potty mouth conversion when it can't figure out what the word should be.

### 1/5 — A wast of softwhere

*2014-04-23, version 1.2*

Doesn't even write what I say right. "Need milk" some how becomes "jeualas fix but" HOW THE HELL DOES IT COME UP WITH THAT!

### 1/5 — WOW JUST WOW

*2014-01-23, version 1.2*

This app can't even understand mono tone slow talking English! Waste of time!!!

### 1/5 — Dreadful

*2014-01-15, version 1.2*

Just does not work.

### 1/5 — EPIC FAIL

*2013-12-27, version 1.2*

This app doesn't even let me view or access anything it dictated. Thank god I tested it before conducting my interview!

### 1/5 — Good for "I that my" if you ever need that transcribed

*2013-12-26, version 1.2*

I wish I was joking here. My iSpeak app experiment: Repeat a line from a podcast I had just listened to. Humans usually understand my words so let's see how the app goes. "So I don't have that part of my brain developed" was transcribed as "Sad I have a shot of my friend's". Fail!

### 3/5 — It's good but..

*2013-12-14, version 1.2*

I didn't know that when you close the app everything gets cleared so I spent two hours finishing my essay on here, closed the app to check my messages and imagine my horror when I saw the everything was gone. Tragic, however, it's pretty accurate if you speak clearly. Now, on to another two hours.

### 1/5 — Settings won't Load...3 Seconds of silence kills recording useless for me

*2013-10-28, version 1.2*

Please fix Settings won't load. I expect some setting will resolve this if only settings would stop "Loading..." and actually show what settings are. I am using on the latest version of iPad with Wifi and Verizon if that will help resolve issues.

Since I can't see settings, I am getting kicked out of the recording when 3 seconds of silence is present. Trying to transcribe a speech, and 3 seconds are not long when pausing for emphasis.

Help, developers, You almost have an awesome app.

### 1/5 — Let it speak for itself

*2013-10-22, version 1.2*

This is some of its handy work on my last interview......"Dallas is today Is basically this is what is the mental-health nutrition in LA who wants to axis wanted to be just bicycle there in Vicenza so I more suspicions you as a healthcare professional people honestly secured for soul while trying to help topics to massage her pu##y"

No joke!

### 1/5 — Settings won't load

*2013-10-18, version 1.2*

I like this app, but it has one deficiency that I can't seem to work around. I don't want it to stop recording when I pause for three or four seconds – – – I want to be able to manually end the dictation. Maybe it's possible to set that up in Settings, but Settings won't load.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Mr

*2019-12-05, version 1.5*

Passable first go. Switched to u.k English (should improve) and appalling result. Very amusing though, made me lol. So, agree with guy who mentioned comic value!

### 1/5 — Bwahahahaha! ??

*2017-06-11, version 1.5*

It's like a joke thing?

I was curious as to why such a complicated piece of software was free. I assumed it was because they would probably have the rights to your audio clips or text (like Okay Google does); so I was prepared to read the Terms and Agreements thoroughly, only there were none.

Well maybe it is just because it is crap and they realized they'd be uninstalled immediately so selling it would be moot. Next game up: get the download number up!

### 1/5 — No accuracy

*2016-05-22, version 1.5*

It wrote stuff down...but not what I was saying.

### 1/5 — Too many glitches

*2016-02-01, version 1.5*

This product cuts out and you cannot get a proper sentence dictated. I have removed it from my desktop.

### 1/5 — No way

*2016-01-26, version 1.5*

Had to spell, and it was wrong at the phoneme level. Terrible.

### 1/5 — I wouldn't recommend this to anybody ever.

*2015-11-10, version 1.5*

This app is worthless every time I say a word it always says a different type of word. This app will waste your storage and is the worst app I have ever used.

### 1/5 — Dr

*2015-06-25, version 1.5*

This app transcribed the words I spoke very inaccurately. Every sentence it produced was gibberish, although it did correctly transcribe the word gibberish when I said it, which I suppose is something.

### 1/5 — Oh dear. Not Siri

*2015-05-30, version 1.5*

Downloaded, tried, deleted.
100% inaccurate and messages too short to be of use anyway.

### 1/5 — Doesn't really work.

*2014-12-11, version 1.2*

Setting won't load.... The recording stops after about 10 seconds. Very annoying. I had high hopes. Dissappointing

### 1/5 — Appalling! Not a single work correct! But funny.

*2014-10-24, version 1.2*

Can't believe it's so bad. Only useful if you just fancied a laugh at how poor a computer can be.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Don't erase dictation.

*2015-11-12, version 1.5*

Before I thought dictation was terrible but it turns out I was doing it wrong so now it is awesome.Keep it up dictation.👍👍👍

### 5/5 — Works pretty well

*2015-04-15, version 1.5*

After the last update this app became ridiculously good! Keep up the good work

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2014-09-17, version 1.2*

Tested and see it works very well.

"I just downloaded this app and it works very well. I just love it! It writes whatever I dictate. This review was dictated."

It puts in the punctuation mark wherever you instruct it to do so.

### 5/5 — I speech dictations

*2014-06-05, version 1.2*

This app is great and is very useful

### 5/5 — Great

*2014-02-12, version 1.2*

Great... better accuracy with this on my Ipad2 than with dictation on my Mac Air

### 5/5 — Lightweight, agile.

*2013-09-09, version 1.2*

This app is simple. At its simplest, it is a single notepad and a single button. At its most complicated, it's still simpler than Notes.

That being said, the transcription engine is as accurate as I know how to judge it – though I would notice the caveat of it not being as 'patient' with silences as the built-in dictation engine within iOS seems to be.

It doesn't do much, but what it does do, it does fantastically.

Also, I run iOS 5, and it's still fast. That is appreciated.

### 5/5 — Very nice!

*2013-05-12*

It is actually accurate when talking clear and slow. I am impressed. I searched for a long time and liked this app.

### 4/5 — Better tuen Dragon Dictation

*2017-07-23, version 1.5*

out of all the apps of you so far this one is the most clear the Google microphone is good and so is Dragon dictation but this app is definitely a star or two better

### 4/5 — A very good app

*2013-07-13, version 1.2*

I found this app to do very good voice recognition without any training. Copying and pasting the text into an email or word processing program was very easy.

### 3/5 — Limited abilities, good for short sentences only

*2015-09-14, version 1.5*

Voice to text recognition is very good, but the dictation is limited to only 10 seconds of information. So it's good for short sentences. However, it is way too short for my purposes. Clarification about that limit is needed in the details about the app. Clarification is also needed that there is no way to edit nor copy/cut the transcript in the app (there is no keyboard connection). You have to send each tiny, 10 second snippet of transcript separately before the next dictation is started.
