I have a new phone and the battery typically lasts 2 days. I was surprised to find my phone out of battery at the end of our transatlantic flight despite not using it much. When I charged it later and turned it back on, I saw that Istanbul Airport app used 40% battery in background! Luckily we were able to call an Uber with my husband’s phone. A travel app draining your battery during the travel is a deal breaker! ### 4/5 — Helpful app *2026-01-09* Great this app exists, but it could be much better. In America every airport has a faucet next to the restrooms. The Instanbul Airport offers a variety of services, while there are various services being offered, they are right at your fingertips. First off, language barrier can not be an issue at the airport as the app offers its services in 7 differently than languages which include some of the widely spoken languages in the world. They include the Turkish Language, English Language, French, Russian, Spanish, German and Japanese. The joy of traveling is not limited to safe flights and landing, but being able to explore the airport itself. And you can do that with the Instanbul Airport App, it helps you to navigate food and beverage stores, famous stores and special exhibitions you can visit while waiting to board your flights. I saw the device battery was draining with little or no use. When inspecting on which apps were the highest consumers of power. It was this app. Of 10+ apps IGA app consumed 99% of the available power.
