We are in istanbul right now. The idea is very sound. The guide alerted us as we walked by different sites. You could follow exactly the prescribed routes or just do your own thing and have the guide speak up when you're close to something. I had thought of this as an app. Ideas are a dime a doz if you don't act on them. For what 6 diff routes cost you would spend that and more for one guided audio tour of a museum.

Nicely prepared and well thought of. Very detailed. Tours are informative. The app is a bit pricey.

The 9 guided tours take you to both the most popular sites as well as some off the beaten path.  The historical narratives are enlightening and help you to understand Istanbul's importance to both Christian and Moslem cultures.

The shopping and restaurant aspects bring modern Istanbul right to your fingertips.

Great App to have without using data on the go. Downloads great audio and tour data! Some issues with crashing on installation so be sure to allow full install before closing app. 

Highly recommended for all cities you might visit!
