I had about 10 projects saved, everything is GONE! Very unhappy, it's going to take so long to try and remember and figure out where I have left off, not to mention increases and repeats. Sad panda. ### 1/5 — Everything was deleted *2018-02-17, version 3.21* With this most recent update... all of my projects were deleted. Everything is gone so now I don’t know which row I’m on nor how each row was supposed to go. I’m not amused and I want this fixed now. ### 1/5 — Was good *2018-02-17, version 3.21* This was perfect, until a recent update deleted everything. All of the projects I was working on, all of the work I was keeping track of, completely lost. ### 1/5 — It’s all gone *2018-02-16, version 3.21* I have been using the app for a while and it has been critical to me when I’ve returned to hibernating projects (of which I have quite a few... who doesn’t??). So, this AM I wanted to pick back up on a rather complicated shawl pattern.... Buuuuuut, Stitch Counter has deleted ALL of my projects. ALL OF THEM. They’re gone. That’s completely unacceptable. Done with it. PS: I’d give zero stars if it were possible. ### 1/5 — Update deleted project data *2018-02-15, version 3.21* An emergency update was pushed out to fix crashing issues and it deleted all of my projects. Very unhappy. ### 1/5 — Lost everything with recent update *2018-02-15, version 3.21* I’ve loved this app since initial download. I use it to track multiple WIPs. But the last update erased all of my data and there’s no way to contact the developer. I’m going to move onto something else, unfortunately, because I can’t imagine trying to rebuild on this one, knowing it could happen again. ### 1/5 — BUSTED *2018-02-13, version 3.21* Had multiple counters on this app and it was working just fine...until this morning when I opened it to work on a project and all my work is gone. Every project I had, all my progress, my notes...gone. Why did y’all fix something that wasn’t broken? Going to try to find a new one now. Seriously mad. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2018-02-12, version 3.21* Have been using this app for a couple of years and all of a sudden all of my data disappeared! ### 1/5 — Still not happy after the emergency update *2018-02-11, version 3.21* After I deleted the app (and all of my data from current and past projects), it started working but the camera would crash the app when I opened it to take a picture for my project. Now after adding a couple more counters for the next section of my pattern, it won’t let me order them how I want to order them. I will edit the order and then I can’t increment so I exit that list of counters and go back in to find them back with the order I don’t want. I’m tired of this. I’m going to another app where I can find proper app support (the link from the App Store does not work) and that hopefully I won’t waste so much time on this type of garbage. I *used* to like this app. ### 1/5 — Hot patch wiped my projects *2018-02-11, version 3.21* Looks like yesterday’s “emergency fix” hot patch wiped all of my counters, including my project in progress. Not the first time this has happened. I won’t be using this counter any longer. ### 1/5 — Lost all my works in progress!!! *2018-02-10, version 3.21* The new iOS 11 update at first crashed upon opening but I could still see my projects but not access them. This morning with the emergency fix ALL my projects and their status are GONE! ### 3/5 — Crashing *2018-02-10, version 3.21* I love this counter and use it constantly. The latest update fixed the crashing, but now most of my old projects are gone, and my most recent project is listed 15 times. It’s finally near completion, and I woke up this morning to discover it had updated and my entire project is gone. 🤬 ### 3/5 — Broken *2018-02-10, version 3.21* Update: It loads now, but that one project listed 8 times is the only thing there now. Everything else I had was lost. I just now updated and it’s completely broken now. I try to open it and it only loads the first project and then closes itself immediately. When I try again, it loads the top project a second time and closes. Right now if I opened it, it would load a list of 7 Project 1s and quit. Seriously not happy about this! ### 3/5 — Was good, now crashing *2018-02-09, version 3.20* I liked this app, but right now it is crashing without opening. Very frustrating. When it works, it’s good; however, linking counters in the same project is not intuitive and is overly complicated. ### 1/5 — App won’t open after latest update *2018-02-09, version 3.20* This app used to be great, but after the update to allegedly make it compatible with iOS 11, it crashes on open every single time. I started a new project and there is nothing but a white screen ### 1/5 — Everything gone! *2018-10-29, version 3.21* I opened the app after several months and ALL of my projects were GONE! I’m SO upset as I have many projects going at once & use my counters as reference for other projects of the same caliber. I noticed many other reviewers have experienced the same thing and had no luck in reaching out to the developer. PLEASE FIX THIS! Until then, looks like I will be going back to manual counters! ### 1/5 — Update deleted my projects *2018-09-07, version 3.21* The most recent app update deleted all the projects I had in the app and there is no way to contact the developer for support. ### 1/5 — Was great...until I updated and everything vanished *2018-05-28, version 3.21* I absolutely loved this app...until I updated it last week when I realized that I was a bit behind on doing so (note: the most recent update was three months ago). Today was the first time I opened the app again after doing the update and absolutely everything had been wiped. All of my projects from the last few years, notes on those projects, everything. I went to contact app support to see if this was just a glitch and if anything could be done to retrieve the info, but the link to contact the developer leads to a defunct placeholder page. I would recommend not using this app if you’re planning on using it to keep track of multiple WIPs that you’re taking a while to complete, especially since there’s not a good way to get in touch with support for this app. I now have several projects that I’m going to have to rip out and completely restart because it’s been months since I worked on them and I’m not sure where I left off on them. I also have several projects that I was developing and have now lost all notes on. ### 1/5 — Don’t use this app!! *2018-04-15, version 3.21* It’s all fun and games, until you do an update I lost all my projects. This has happened more than once!! I was only using this app so now I’m going to have to try to figure out what row I’m on a huge lace work shawl!!! ### 1/5 — Don’t risk it *2018-03-05, version 3.21* I used to like this app despite the problems with counters rearranging randomly. The ability to link counters and set the increment was great. But the last update deleted all my projects and despite reaching out to the developer, two weeks later there seems to be no hope of getting them back. The prospect of figuring out what row I’m on for several of the more complicated projects is daunting. Also there’s a new bug. The other reviewers seem a bit tech challenged. You create a project and then create counters within that project. It's awesome when you are counting 2 things at once (like "do rows 1-8 for 12 times"). I use it for all my projects! ### 5/5 — Just what I needed *2016-12-11, version 3.12* I love this app! I've been using it all year on a large complicated knitting blanket project. The multiple counters that sync together make tracking rows in two or more patterns at once a breeze! I just figured out how to turn on the iCloud sync so I can use the app from both my iPad and iPhone. The only minor complaint I have is that you can't collapse the keyboard in the notes areas. It makes reading long passages difficult. Both otherwise this is the perfect knitting/crocheting companion! Thanks for the great features! ### 5/5 — Update: audio issue fixed *2016-07-12, version 3.12* They quickly fixed a few issues in the new version and it's back to being great! With the new update the app now overrides and stops the audio you were listening to anytime you open or switch to the app. Very frustrating to use while listening to a podcast or audiobook. Old version: I can never keep track of the pieces of paper with tally marks and notes on them but this app keeps all my projects info in one place that I always have on me. Zero complaints. ### 4/5 — Great app *2018-05-27, version 3.21* I’ve been using this app for a few years now. It does a great job keeping track of multiple projects. I love being able to link counters to other counters in keeping track of pattern repeats since I have to leave my projects for long periods of time and always know where I am at when I pick it back up. My only issue, would love a paid version to get rid of ads. They drain my phone battery. ### 4/5 — The only thing… *2017-08-31, version 3.12* I love this app, it allows me to easily track where I am in my pattern, I can also make notes on individual counters in a pattern so that I don't have to carry around paper and the like. However, say I'm knitting a sock and I have stitch counters broken down into sections (ankle, heel, instep, foot, toe), I want to organize the sections so that the one I'm on is at the top the next section is below that and the one I've just finished is at the bottom, and I can organize them like that except that when I try to move the one I've just done to the bottom a random counter floats to the top. ### 4/5 — Good app but needs some tweaks *2017-03-14, version 3.12* I love the fact that I can have multiple projects. I would like to be able to add notes to each project. I also want to be able to delete old projects. And while I'm at it it would be nice to sort the projects alphabetically. The ads kill my phone battery & if I use it while my phone is plugged into the charger the ads don’t let the battery charge. ### 3/5 — Almost perfect *2018-10-19, version 3.21* The app works great for me. I love the way you can set up multiple counters and link them together, as well as set max rows. The only reason this gets 3 instead of 5 stars is there’s no way to back up or archive projects. From looking through the negative reviews, seems like I wasn’t the only one to lose a ton of work about a year ago. I had about two years of projects wiped out. The rest of the counter works so well, I’ve kept it but even being able to email an xml file (or other format) to myself to reload later would make it perfect. ### 3/5 — Ok *2018-08-30, version 3.21* It’s a decent app, good functionality. Just make sure you have a hard copy back up of your project info somewhere; I’ve lost several projects to updates. As there’s no sign in feature or cloud backups, there’s no way to retrieve lost data. If you don’t mind that, then it’s a great app. I haven’t lost anything super important so far, but the losses were still pretty inconvenient.
