### 4/5 — definitely worth the money!

*2014-03-02*

Terrific synth and drum machine.

### 4/5 — Update

*2013-04-11*

I love this app. I just wish it had audio bus support.

### 4/5 — AAAARRRGGH!

*2012-10-29, version 1.1.0*

First of all your apps are awesome, addictive is fantastic (both versions).
Now this app should be good, the live section as truly awesome and user friendly, but please guys, PLEASE make the sequencer part user friendly, it's so bad I cannot use it :-(
it desperatly needs an overhaul. It's sloooooow, and tricky, whenever i get the inspiration to use it, I get so far then it all dissapears :-( it's not good guys, but the app is good.
Please make it user friendly PLEASE!!!!

### 4/5 — Nice update

*2011-08-31*

I used to use Virsyn's Tera and loved it so I instantly picked this one up on the company name. The first build was really quite buggy. This new update has really improved the quality and stability. The sounds are actually quite nice especially in the bass sounds. The sequencing and editing is 100% better than the initial release. Nice job!

### 4/5 — Great

*2011-07-29*

Finally. I've been looking for a great synth and sequencer combo. Excellent warm quality. Easy to use yet professional. A couple of upgrades would make this perfect:

More controllable destinations in the sequencer including ADSR decay. It would be great to have many control destinations.

Oscillators need to go more octaves up or down and really need to pan to create nice stereo sequences.

Load and share user drum sets!

Last, high pass and notch filter options.

Great job on this very nice portable synth studio!

### 4/5 — Good, but some bugs

*2011-06-26*

I've been playing with this all weekend. I mostly write house, but lately I've been giving dubstep some love. For a musical sketch pad/live performance tool, this app has been pretty solid in terms of sound. My main gripe is that it's a bit buggy, changing patches on the poly for example, seemed to affect the sound on the mono, leaving the app for awhile, seemed to cause it to freeze, and editing in the sequencer on occasion caused the app to crash. This is all on a new iPad2.

I imagine that VirSyn will get these issues worked out. They're a solid company, with some pro apps to their credit, so I'm hoping an update will cure these blues.

Some additional features I'd like to see are an additional lfo (plus more lfo routing options), the ability to apply swing/shuffle to patterns (something I've not seen in other apps), and a simple mixer for all the modules. I want the iPad to do live performance, I don't expect it to replace a laptop, but having the ability to quickly drop in loops, mute/solo parts would be a real boon.

The sound is great, the modulation is great, the editing is good, the stability needs some work. Overall, fun, but needs some work.

### 1/5 — Way too hard to use

*2012-10-13*

This app get annoying FAST. I keep going back to this app and end up becoming disappointed.
Extremely frustrating when trying to program. There is no documentation.
I cannot get it to do a simple "four on the floor" beat for more than one measure. This app is so horrible, that I am afraid of anything this company makes.
The worst music app I have. (I have about 80 apps just like this)
Not recommended as a first music app.
Knob movement within the synths is EXTREMELY quirky.
Not recommended. Avoid.
Overall, not too good.
Get something else instead.
Extremely hard to save.
This is the only app that I paid for and deleted from my iPad. It is the worst experience I've had in music apps.

### 1/5 — App needs lot of work

*2011-11-03*

I got it thinking that was same as the iphone version. It's not, it's actually worst, the only thing better is that you have an extra poly synth, and more control on the intruments, but the sequencer its really bad, and not intuitive at all, plus with 4 instruments not having a mixer its really bad. The idea is good , but it needs a lot of work, it's not fun , and it doesnt sound as great either like animoog.

### 2/5 — So disappointed..wasted potential. Fix bugs!

*2012-06-20, version 1.1.0*

Sounds great. Fab idea. Got some 90s ambient going on while on the train. Made mistake of pressing undo. Hours of sequencing on a very tricky sequencer wiped. So frustrating. They need to fix the bugs before this becomes a good music app. Piano roll needs a real overhaul. Synths themselves sound good though.

### 2/5 — Promising but crashes every time

*2011-07-17, version 1.0*

You can make really good sounds with this, I like it. The sequencer page has crashed on me every single time I've used it. I've not got very far with it at all due to this. Please make the sequencer more reliable. With a few updates I think it will be great

### 3/5 — Virsyn are usually great devs but...

*2016-04-15, version 2.1.2*

...this isn't a great app. Just feels and sounds poor quality compared to Virsyns other apps.

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2014-02-23*

Nice sounds, other apps by dev team are superb,
This one does lack. Namely selectable midi ports for input and sync, wist.
Keep it up devs
T

### 3/5 — With a little polish could be amazing

*2012-10-16*

While the interface can be frustrating and occasionally counter intuitive iSyn Poly does what it says on the tin. The presets do not show the synthesis engine to the best advantage but the developer VirSyn has a formidable reputation among producers for creating great sounding apps and plugins; with a little effort you can really make the synths in iSyn Poly shine. It's not an essential purchase like iVoxel or Addictive but is still a nice addition to any iOS studio. If updated to improve the workflow and remove the clutter iSyn could be absolutely brilliant. Hopefully VirSyn has a future for this app.

### 3/5 — UI could be better

*2011-07-01*

Ok, the synths are great, as you'd expect from this company. But the UI could be way better. For instance, I have selected a 4 beat section in the sequencer, and it's set to repeat. But when I switch to live mode, which is also set to looping, and try to record, nothing repeats, and no notes that I play wind up in the pattern. It's all very confusing.

### 3/5 — Alright

*2011-06-23*

A little buggy: the editing on the sequencer page isn't responsive or can be quirky. it needs a mixer page so one can mute tracks on the fly with a one page scheme. A little unstable...I really am happy that virsyn is at it again (long overdue)...that being said, iron out the goofiness please as there are too many better apps out there now, the competition is heating up!

### 4/5 — ISyn poly .....

*2019-11-06, version 2.3.0*

Great synth,
Not too many presets but lots of knobs...lol
Would be awesome as AUv3, but recording into Cubasis isn't a problem as long as you remember to change midi channels for each synth, (mono 1 mono2 poly, & drums) then remember to change back to midi ch 1 to use your other AUv3s......
Great built in drum machine, not a lot of drums, could do with an update with more sounds and drum kits to keep up with more modern/up to date synths, but overall some good sounds...
🙏🙏

### 5/5 — I love this but-

*2020-03-20*

Import export is fatally flawed please Virsyn tweak this in an update, just this much and my love will be free once again to express itself with this fine tool
(I actually contacted the deliver about this, and his response was not encouraging I think because the code was done in part by people no longer in the firm)

### 5/5 — Works amazingly now.

*2017-10-11, version 2.3.0*

I used to have some issues with this. But now it's running real smooth.

### 5/5 — Excellent, I say buy it now.

*2015-04-19*

Picked this right up and laid a dope drum beat on accident basically. That's besides the tons of synth presets. Everything is tweakable like crazy too. Easy sequence and song setup. I've had iVoxel forever and that's excellent too. The best part though is this is only $1.99. That's Insane!!!

Keep Tera Synth at $10 I'm gona buy it this weekend and pick up Cube Synth as soon as it drops a little. I'm sure it's worth it now lol but hey lol

### 5/5 — POWERFUL & TOTALLY COMPLETE!

*2012-02-08*

This app has it all. To have just one of these powerful analogue modeled synths would be enough in my opinion, the preset sounds are thick and rich, and cover a broad range of sounds. Add in the customizable X-Y controller and automation and you have one beautifully unique synth. To tell the truth it was the automation that first sparked my interest in this app, and since being highly impressed with their Addictive Synth and iVoxel equally, I knew I had to try this. Really it's worth it for the presets alone, but the manipulation you can then do to those sounds is mind blowing, there is a lot of power here. The drum section has the power to be an app of it's own. Then you realize you've actually got 3 powerful synths and a great drum machine that can all be effected, recorded, automated, and mixed, and you've got an app that stands apart from the rest. I'm not joking, this is amazing!

### 5/5 — great...

*2011-11-22*

Good sounding synth with a more than useable multi track sequencer with drums... for $10... no complaints here.

### 5/5 — Great little app

*2011-06-27, version 1.0*

Was not too sure about the app when first purchased but it is now becoming my fav music app for the iPad. It was a bit tetchy when I first installed crashing etc but problem seemed to resolve itself on the day of purchase. I also found the sequencer was causing problems in the fact that copy and paste was crashing the app but as I said that has resolved itself. The keyboard sounds are fantastic with a great set of effects you get a lot for your money. Will be mainly using it to create loops to export into Logic. Only draw back that I can see to it is there are only 4 tracks but it is only really for mapping out ideas and it's a great little app for doing that.

### 4/5 — Classic still

*2019-01-05*

This is old but good, with 3 separate units to jam together with. The drum machine is just the normal ones but the synths can be clean and analog sounding.

### 4/5 — Love it but...

*2014-09-16*

...It could use quantization and swing control on the drum pads.

### 4/5 — Excellent Synth

*2014-03-02*

Just bought this at the sale price
and it's an outstanding value.
Has great sounds which are easy to modify
and with the built in sequencer and drum
machine you can create to your hearts content.
This is an app I know I will be using.
