I am self employed and use my computer a great deal in the context of delivering my professional services. I suspected my network had been compromised, but I lacked the skills to document the problem. This app is thorough, reliable and has given me the documentation to "show" I.T. Professionals that my computer has been hacked. I no longer have to struggle to describe my problems now that the results of scans and other diagnostics can be printed and proven! ### 5/5 — Much better than what I bought for the laptop! *2016-07-02, version 2.17.2* When I want to know what's on my network this is the app that I use. Es ist sehr gut auf die Touch-Bedienung ausgelegt und wärmstens zu empfehlen! I'm a country girl from Arkansas who happens to love programming. This is the most useful app in my arsenal. (Yes, people from Arkansas can use the word arsenal correctly). I would give it six stars. It will open up a whole new experience on your iPhone. If you don't believe me, try it. If you don't love it, delete it! I bought this app for that reason alone and found it contained so much more! I love that it keeps a history of your queries for quick access across the various tools (ping, trace etc) which saves a lot of typing. The Network Scanner is very powerful and supports lots of different probe types, even IPv6/NDP which is great. Does not contain WiFi scanner. Waste of $ due to false advertising. Not worth the $7 in anyway. Other free apps seem to give the same info in a friendlier way. Wasted my money...... ### 1/5 — Crashes with new update *2013-04-04, version 2.12* This app used to work as it stated. Now I can't use it at all. Ever since the new update the app immediately crashes. I tried deleting and reinstalling but that does not help either. Please fix or at least roll it back to the version before this last update. Nonetheless, I recommend this app. ### 3/5 — Kann leider nicht IPv6 richtig *2013-11-17* Eigentlich ein gute Tool, aber leider funktioniert ein Ping oder Traceroute auf IPv6 Adressen nicht ("No route to host"), obwohl es mit anderen Apps einwandfrei klappt. Damit wird das Tool was unbrauchbar, wenn man z.B. Server überprüfen will, die sowohl eine IPv4 als auch eine IPv6 Adresse haben, die ich für die IPv6 Adresse auf jeden Fall auf eine andere App zurückgreifen muss. ### 3/5 — teuer ... *2012-08-09* ... aber sehr gut. Kann sehr gut beruflich genutzt werden. Dürfte aber noch telnet und eine ssh-Konsole haben aber immer gut zu sehen dass Apple Big Brother ist und alles zu jeder Zeit überwacht. As such,my only complaint with IT Tools is its lack of a help/support section. If you plan to use it, come knowledgeable, or know where you can look you terms and their relationships between each other. Like I said, nobody wants to deal with elementary illnesses. That said, as a self-taught, still learning enthusiast, I find this app to be reliable, full of information, and consistent. Other apps crash on me, or provide only surface information. Not so here. The app packs many useful features in an interface that is easy to operate. Recently, there was an error affecting the network scan function. The creator of the app was very efficient and provided an update to fix the error in a timely manner. Great to quickly check reported issues when away from my desk at work. ### 5/5 — Great app *2017-03-30, version 2.18.1* The hostnames/ip addresses should be cached so they don't have to be re-entered in each time/window. If you have put an ip in once it should drop down the next time you enter an address with the option of deleting it. Like the way the address bar works in Safari. Only 3 stz because of pricetag and lack of cached addresses. Just because I work in tech doesn't mean I expect to pay a lot for a tool like this no matter how functional.
