### 5/5 — Love it!

*2011-10-21, version 3.7.5*

It's so fun and easy to use for any age! It's even easier if you know Spanish already because the languages sound similar. I cant wait to test out my amateur Italian on someone! :D

### 5/5 — Good! :)

*2011-08-28, version 3.7.5*

I got this just a few weeks ago, and my Italian has gotten stronger already. I already spoke a little because part of my family is from Italy, but I think it is a good app for anyone wishing for their Italian to be better, in any way!

### 5/5 — Like it

Downloaded it as a refresher and i even learned some new phrases in the process. Recommend for beginers.

### 5/5 — Two thumbs up!

This app is very great! It really does help you learn easily :D Mi Piace!

### 4/5 — Great app - the best to make the transition from passive to expressive language skills!

*2010-11-10, version 0*

I have tried tens of other programs. This was the only one that helped me start thinking and expressing myself in Italian. Easily, 4+ stars! I am going to purchase their phrase level 102 next.

### 5/5 — Mi piace this app!

*2010-11-03, version 0*

This is a wonderful place to start learning Italian! I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to learn. 5 stars! 

### 5/5 — Great for tourists!

*2010-09-15, version 0*

I'm 2nd generation Italian, but because my father was American, I spoke mostly English. The Italian I speak with my family is Southern, and it's mostly slang. So when I had to go to Italy, I thought it best to brush up on real Italian, lest I be ridiculed for my horrendous speech! This app was perfect, as the learning voice - I can tell you - is authentically Italian. The spelling game was a little difficult to figure out as there are no instructions, but once I got it it was all downhill. Also, I can't tell you how much better it is to have an app instead of a translation book - you look like an idiot walking around with one!

### 5/5 — Fun

*2010-08-25, version 0*

Easy and fun. I couldn't put it down. Love the flash cards too!

### 5/5 — Love it!

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

Very good app! Instead of the computer, I have this! My iPod touch, and it's portable! You also get to practice on it, 5 stars! Luvvv it! And it's FREE!!! :D

### 5/5 — Best app ever

*2010-07-07, version 0*

This is an a incredible app I love it
I wish to learn more languages.

### 5/5 — Fantastic application

*2010-06-19, version 0*

This is a great app, hard to believe it's free. Use of clear, native speaker is exemplary. Variety of exercises to increase familiarity is brilliant. I've bought other apps and podcasts, as well as external aids, to learn Italian -- this is by far amongst the best tools. I'd pay for further and more robust development -- please update with more words and phrases!

### 1/5 — Free Italian Tutor--you definitely get what you pay for with this

*2009-09-27, version 0*

The structure of this applicaton is good, but it has two significant problems. First, there are big mistakes in the answers provided by the application, and these are very basic mistakes. For example, the answer given by the application for "can you recommend a good ---?" is "posso consigliarti un buon". As even a first semester student of Italain knows, "posso" means "I can" or "can I", not "can you". The right answer is, of course, puo (or puoi) mi consigliare un buon? I have run into several such basic errors in just 15 minutes of using this application. I think the author does not know much about Italian.
The second problem is that the method uses translation from English into Italian, a core problem with most language instruction in the U.S. Translation is poison for learning to speak a language. They need to use pictures or describe the situation in Italian, similar to high quality language instruction courses such as Berlitz, Rosetta Stone. This application is not worth anything--but it is free.

### 2/5 — Basic

*2019-03-06, version 8.3.2*

Basics more useful than Duolingo!!

### 2/5 — Okayish

*2018-02-24, version 8.3.2*

I am Italian, but I didn't know any any Italian so I tried this app.
But, to understand the app, you need to learn a little Italian before you start this app. It has quizzes, but it doesn't teach you how to speak Italian, just how to translate. So I was all out of place in this app when I tried a quiz. I would not use this app again.

### 2/5 — What happened?

*2012-04-09, version 3.7.5*

I tried to download this app, because I loved the French and German versions, but the app didn't download. Every time I enter the app store, it says that it's installed, but it's not showing up on my iPod.

### 2/5 — PLEASE FIX!

*2010-04-06, version 0*

Most of these are all wrong wrong wrong!! Go on google and to to the transalate and see how most of these wordS are all wrong! Also could use some more basic words. Otherwise grazie for SOME correct words.

### 2/5 — free Italian tutor

*2009-09-27, version 0*

There were incorrect word translation on their free application. They said they would correct it "on the next round". I was told the "Pay" application has everything correct, It was a good if there were no mistakes. If you don't speak the language, how would you know unless you were corrected by someone who did...

### 3/5 — Okayish

*2022-02-21, version 8.3.2*

I liked it but I would not recommend. To Learn a new language you need hands on in class activity but it sort of gave me what I needed to start learning

### 3/5 — Good but needs improvement

*2012-12-28, version 4.2.7*

It's a great app to learn Italian, but some of the words in there are misspelled. There should be corrected if you want to really learn Italian. I grew up in Italy for my first 20 years so I do actually know Italian

### 4/5 — Great!

*2013-03-02, version 4.2.7*

This is a very good way to learn Italian. It was very easy for me, although it probably helps that I already know Spanish.. I do wish it had words like "sister" or idk, body parts as well as more common objects... But still great!! 😊😃👍👌👏📱

### 4/5 — Read

*2011-07-14, version 3.6.7*

It's an app to learn new words and review on your language. I speak fluent Italian and this app is very well only you are missing the informal way of wirds and more formal ways but you must put the masculine and feminine words together specifieng that it is masc. and fem. Other than that . But if you really want to learn Italian, go take a class or learn a little, then move to Italy for 1 month and come back Italian, lol. Ciao tutti, a domani!!!

### 5/5 — Perfect!!!!!

*2016-07-07, version 8.1.2*

We are going to Italy and don't speak a word of Italian this is absolutely perfect, so relevant. Once I get through the free version I think I will buy The pay version so I can really progress.

### 5/5 — Great

### 5/5 — Made Spanish easy

*2014-08-22, version 5.0.4*

I downloaded this app and it took me about a year to complete the Spanish language. Great app! Little glitchy though...

### 5/5 — Happy with this app

*2013-09-28, version 5.0.4*

Simple quizzes with audio, photos, multiple choice, and write-in answers. Not a stand-alone source for language learning, but a nice option to add variety. Love the "Speak and Compare" function!

### 5/5 — This is GREAT!!!

*2013-03-20, version 4.2.7*

### 5/5 — Love it

*2012-06-26, version 3.7.5*

I wish it had more words but it's great with helping you pronounce it and spell it. I'd recommend it

### 5/5 — Awesome app. Excellent learning tool. Hope you'll be bringing out a verb app.

*2012-02-05, version 3.7.5*

.

### 5/5 — Italian!

*2011-11-25, version 3.7.5*

This app is great! It is easy to use. It would be awesome if there was a grammar app so you can learn past tense vs. future tense and all of the grammatical stuff.
