Does not give enough detail int he timetable app. Cannot do alerts like on a browser. ### 2/5 — Currently not working *2021-09-17* When it works, this app is great, but every time I try and pull up a pupil timetable or list at the moment I just get a blank screen. This is really not helpful. It used to be significantly better (hence 2 stars not one) and if it works again in the future I’d be happy to update my review. But at the moment it’s next to useless for accessing info on any Apple device and really impinging on me being able to do my job properly! ### 1/5 — Buggy to the point of irrelevance *2020-12-14, version 2.1.12* Terrible. Similarly, a choice of display/font size would help as the pinch /expand is not possible. ### 2/5 — App works but DARK MODE *2020-05-04, version 2.1.5* The dark mode has made the app far less useful. I now cannot read any of my students’ names on the register or as I try to compose a message. However, I need to switch to a desktop computer to give merits and missed preps etc... I thought this update would fix this! Therefore, it’s still a limited app and basically only a glorified register. **Developer response:** Reward and Conduct is included in version 2.0.1. It has now become an issue trying to find registers Registers for cover lesson are impossible to find. This is supposed to be a quick & easy process yet you have made it the opposite ### 1/5 — It does not work *2024-11-20, version 2.1.56* It does not work. Rubbish update. ### 1/5 — No Great *2023-09-29, version 2.1.47* Very clunky always on the wrong settings. In general not at all functional at times. ### 1/5 — iTeacher *2022-04-28, version 2.1.35* Taking a register (the main reason for using the app) does not work: the buttons are greyed out and unresponsive. ### 1/5 — Unable to access full teacher app *2022-03-22* For some unknown reason, also unknown to the IT Département, iSAMS does not give me full access to the teacher app on my iPad, despite me having access on my phone. There seems to be no reason for it, and it makes timetabling music lessons a nightmare. As far as I’m concerned, it’s useless on my iPad. ### 1/5 — Useless - don’t bother *2022-03-06, version 2.1.31* Colleagues and I have found that constantly get data access errors. Nothing works - can’t see dashboard and one of the quick views or timetable wizards load. Don’t bother - just use your computer. ### 1/5 — Register *2022-03-04, version 2.1.31* Using my mobile I was unable to save group registration. No save message appeared!? ### 1/5 — No good for home use *2021-11-26, version 2.1.26* This app seems to have missed a trick - there is no way to use it to write reports, one of the most time -consuming exercises that can be done at home. ### 1/5 — App shuts down on iPad Pro and iPhone *2021-02-08, version 2.1.15* The app was updated three days ago and now crashes on start up. If this is done, the app will be perfect, IMHO. ### 4/5 — Impressed! *2020-09-02* I have only just started to investigate the apps features, but I have been impressed with the functionality thus far. It would be great if there was somewhere we could ask for adaptations or suggestions... It’s possible to find a student and email from a list but would be great to highlight the full list and email all, or even just a selection. When I have a list on students names, its almost impossible to select the bottom name. It you could address these issue then I’ll be further impressed! ### 4/5 — Nice redesign, still room for improvement *2019-11-11* Enjoying the new redesign, though I thought the wizards section had been removed until I randomly swiped to the left. It might be good if there was also a visible button to open the drawer on the right otherwise users might not know that it’s there. Much better lately. When you log onto iTeacher a few times a day, it’s a bit hit and miss as to whether it’s going to ask you for Touch ID, then log on, then ask you again how you want to log on??? It’s slowly getting better though. Still easier than logging onto a desktop to load iSAMS just to look up a pupils details. **Developer response:** Version 2 is now in the App Store - hopefully this resolves the issues you have reported. ### 4/5 — It was useful *2019-07-02, version 1.0.29* The iSAMs app was working well, then the update came and now it has stopped. So much for an improved service ### 4/5 — Support for One Login *2019-05-17* My school recently went to One Login (ironically adding a step to some of our systems!) However isams teacher app doesn't support it. This means I can no longer use what was a very useful app. A shame, is it likely to be resolved? It is after all the same user and password! **Developer response:** Version 2 is now in the App Store - this provides SSO support for One Login. ### 4/5 — Huge potential *2017-10-03* About to roll out to staff. Already know what they will say though. Like other reviews have already mentioned... When will the Rewards and Conduct section be linked into the app? You can leave the register open during your lesson and right click on a pupil to give a merit quickly, rather than the 3+ windows to do one simple task. ### 3/5 — Could do better *2020-12-04* Dark mode is now supported, making things much more readable. Hats off to the developers. I hope they can now find the time to work on placing important classroom tasks front and centre. — The app exposes a reasonable amount of iSAMS’ functionality, but is let down by a weak design. Common tasks like taking a register, locating a class list, checking timetables and issuing merits/sanctions are buried in hidden menus often 4 or more layers deep. The visual design has not kept pace with changes in iOS and does not properly support dark mode, leaving parts of the interface entirely unreadable.
