I use a PC program for keeping track of student grades since it is customizable to my needs. This app has a beautiful appeal, though, and would be top-notch if a better grade book component was integrated. ### 2/5 — Needs updating! *2019-02-03, version 1.2* I loved this app when it was new. Please give it an update and I’ll go back to using this exclusively! ### 4/5 — Want update *2017-08-02, version 1.2* Updated plz + support Apple Watch ### 2/5 — Inexplicable changes in last update *2015-09-09, version 1.2* Despite having some peculiarities in the UI, this has been my go-to app for handling my classes. Once you got used to it, it was pretty efficient. However, this last update includes some really odd decisions from the developers. For example, I have always though it odd that they wanted me to specify each student in my class who had received an assignment. I can't think of the last time I didn't give an assignment to the entire class. Still, no big deal because you could just choose 'Select All' and quickly move past that step. Apparently, the minor annoyance wasn't good enough, because in this update they have removed the 'Select All' option on assignments. Now, for every single assignment, I must individually tap that I have given it to each student. Thor one class alone, that is 31 extra taps, times the number of assignments in the semester. That is not the only issue, but it's the one that most stands out day after day. Really, if I could go back to the previous version, I would. ### 2/5 — horrible *2015-06-11, version 1.2* Was much better before the upgrade ### 3/5 — Great but crashes frequently in set up *2014-12-11* I like this app as a teacher. It takes calendar entries and adds them automatically which is great but when setting up the planner I find it constantly crashes on my iPhone before i can save the data entered for a particular class. I dropped it. Needed to use it again but now it won’t update and crashes every time. Facebook for the development team says its an iOS 7 issue. But it is now almost time for iOS 8 to come out and it still have the same bug. Not impressed. can only use it on 1 device now W/ no cloud backup. Dissappointing. Otherwise, I am appreciative of the design. I use iStudiez all the time as a student and iTeacherbook is similar in interface. Takes some time to setup but works and I can track subjects, attendance, programs and assignments. ### 2/5 — Incomplete *2014-03-18* It's a shame I can't use this app on my ipad or MacBook. It would be nice to have new features like recording homework, ability to shift/move lessons back and forth, seating plan sheet. Just some ideas! I can see a class's results easily and their averages but at the mo every time I click on 'planner' the whole thing crashes! I'll be useless tomorrow without know where I'm supposed to be! Help! But The main problem I think with this app is that there is no iTeacherBook for mac like how iStudies Pro has. This makes it very disconnected. I enjoy the new UI of the the app but i feel like whoever develops this app is way focused on iStudiez pro app that they have basically abandoned this app. I want to see this app in mac. ### 1/5 — Needs some updates *2014-08-28, version 1.1.4* I needed something to send assignments to students, so they could enter it into their own calendars. I believe this only sends an email instead of sharing or messaging. The app is a good concept but involves to much clicking here and there to make everything work... Should be more simple. I'm very disappointed I spent 4.99 on this app and within one hour realizing it was a bad mistake. There should be a lite version of this app before wasting money. ### 1/5 — Needs a major update *2014-07-25, version 1.1.4* To use all the features there is just too much clicking and trying to find just where to put the information. You are suppose to be able to use it like a grade book but you have to click multiple times on each student just to put grades for one assignment. It like maybe the should just remove this app since it seems to be forgotten anyway. Their other app seems to have all their attention. I understand that there are more students than teachers but teachers need good apps too ### 1/5 — Sync Issue *2013-11-24* When I create a new class schedule in this app, it does not show up in my iPad calendar. I need to see my class schedule with my other schedules in one place in my iOS device. If I do reverse and create my class schedule in my iOS device, I would see them in this app. However, I cannot use app features with them. ### 1/5 — No update *2013-09-24, version 1.1.1* I'm at a total standstill since the iOS 7 update. ### 1/5 — Don't use *2013-03-07, version 1.1.1* A lot of potential, but many flaws. A big one: Look at the first picture, the part of the screen on the right disappears when your teaching day is done. It gives you some meaningless phrase. If you had written any "class notes" they are gone. There's no way in the program to retrieve them. ### 1/5 — classes have disappeared *2013-01-18, version 1.1.1* This app was great until the new year hit. My school has a rotating schedule so being able to customize the daily class schedule from day to day was great. It is no longer showing! You can also input students to your groups and track their attendance and work! I have not found a better app for my teaching needs...
