### 2/5 — Severely limited

*2017-08-25, version 1.3.2*

Can't use previously taken photos to compile time lapse. Pretty limited functionality

### 3/5 — Disappointed :(

*2017-05-28, version 1.3.2*

I bought this app thinking I could import previous pictures from my photos library. Unfortunately, you can only use photos that you take through the app. My husband and I are building a house and I wanted to create a time lapse of the construction process. Overall, the app seems well designed and straight forward but I wish the description clarified that you cannot import previous photos for your videos.

### 2/5 — Stopped Working

*2016-06-16*

It won't let me in!!!

### 2/5 — App no longer works

*2015-02-16, version 1.2.1*

I bought this app several years ago and it worked fine then. I hadn't tried it recently but tonight when I tried, it won't work. As several other reviewers have said, it locks up when you go to the screen where you select the time interval. You can select an interval but can't exit that screen. Killing, deleting and reloading app didn't help. When I tried to contact Laan Labs for support, I get a Not Found error. No more support. Apparently it's broken and no one is going to fix it.

### 1/5 — Don't waste your money

*2015-02-09*

This App used to work really well but is in need of an update. It is not compatible with iPhone 5 upwards.

### 2/5 — No longer works

*2014-12-28, version 1.2.1*

This used to be a solid program, but after trying to use it recently it's unusable despite deleting it and reloading it. You can't start a new project without it freezing on the first selection. Want to put it on 'shoot every 2 seconds' - you can! But you CAN'T get out of the selection screen which means after you get tired of trying to switch to manual or sound or ANYTHING, you can force close the program. Want to try to delete some pictures? You can, but it won't let you hit enter, cancel, or back out of the menu. Every option ends with force close. Hopefully they fix it soon

### 1/5 — Disappointment

*2014-11-22*

Used to be one of my favorite apps. Now it never works, and simply freezes up. Time to look for a different one.

### 1/5 — Buyer Beware! App doesn't work, it is useless!

*2014-10-24, version 1.2.1*

This app must not be ready for iOS8, it has a flaw that makes it unuseable. When the user goes ointo an option screen such as frames per second, there is no way to return to the previous screen even after making a election. The only way to go back is to close the app and reopen it.
Another thig to consider is that this app does not allow a user to make timelapse with existing photos, which is the reason I purchased it.
Total ripoff! It should illegal to sell junk like this that just doesn't work!

### 1/5 — Ive been robbed

*2014-10-18*

My app no longer works i cant even access videos ive made in the past so disappointed. Do not download this pos app and the developers can go eat 💩. I wish there was a ratting lower than 1.

### 2/5 — Soon pointless?

*2014-06-03*

I'm disappointed that this app hasn't been maintained and is badly in need of an update. But it looks like it may be too late to resurrect now as iOS 8 will do this built-in.

This otherwise useful app needs an update for the iPhone 5+ screen size? Some 1080p resolution option would be good too.

App works fine for me. I've made several videos using this app. My advice is to connect the phone to power and position it correctly where it won't be disturbed or move/fall/slide anywhere during recording.

### 3/5 — Great app...

*2013-10-21*

Fix iPod track selection for soundtrack. Would be deserved of five stars if the option to select or choose your own iPod track for soundtrack actually worked. The soundtracks supplied leave a little to be desired. Every time that I select iPod track for soundtrack option when rendering video the app chooses to blank screen and crashes/freezes which results in having to hit home button to shutdown the app then also further requiring to switch off my iphone5 to restart the iTimeLapse pro app and begin the process again. Bugs aren't fun... Please fix and get a five star rating... Last update was June 2011 that's over 2x years...? How about standing by your product and customers...?

### 4/5 — Time past

*2013-02-13*

Was the best and still is on the older iPhone but needs an update, can't find another one quite as good as this one, have purchased a few and none have the option of setting a start date and time. Please bring on an updated version.

### 1/5 — iPhone 5 problem

*2012-10-15*

won't let me use full HD resolution on iphone 5

### 4/5 — HIgher frequency would be good

*2012-05-31*

This is a good app. It works every time and is very easy to use. I wanted it to film a time lapse of my bicycle ride to work. The highest frequency you can do is 1 frame per second. That is very fast and a half hour journey is over in 40 secs. 5 or 10 frames a second would be good.

### 1/5 — Going down fast

*2012-04-14*

Have used for a year and workED great, but without an update in over 10 months, lots of problems. Crashes and glitches throughout interface. Be cautious.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Shockingly bad.

*2024-06-09*

I needed time stamps on the frames of a timelapse capture to document the moment a particular event happens, which I can’t get through the native iPhone camera app. The description for this app suggested it included this feature. 1. Not only does it apparently NOT have that ability, it also crash quits when you hit the Details/Edit Frames button (perhaps timestamp is in there, but since it crashes on select, we’ll never know); and 2. astoundingly, when I hit Watch for the initial 7-frame file I just captured, the app acts like it’s opening something, but it just sticks on a black screen. So that’s $2 down the drain. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t pay attention to the average 2-star review, my only excuse is it’s early Sunday morning and I had not yet had even a sip of coffee. This app should be removed from the store.

### 1/5 — Great app.

*2019-08-31*

Much better than the time lapse option in the native Apple camera. If only it wouldn’t crash after less than 40 frames.

Such a shame!

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing after 100 photos

*2019-01-13*

Really not good enough when you've paid for a pro app

### 1/5 — Crashes, developer doesn't respond

*2017-07-13*

Sadly this app crashes after just 100 to 200 frames, I've tried different settings but is always crashes. Contacted the developer and even then enough time but they don't respond. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — Bought recently

*2017-06-11, version 1.3.2*

Recently bought this app to take time lapse videos of drives from the vehicles perspective. App either will not take frames or crashes after a few frames.

### 1/5 — No go

*2016-12-29*

Hasn't worked for me. I haven't been able to use this app once.
It freezes every time I try to set the time lapse or a grey box appears and nothing can be done unless I turn the phone off.
Hope others have more luck

### 1/5 — Seriously?

*2016-09-26*

What is going on? I cannot go out from a settings screen! I cant believe this cost real money! How am I expected to use this dumb app? Mind blown at the incompetence! Better fix this NOW Iphone 6se. Zero stars. For some reason there is no zero star option. This gets ZERO stars. If you are reading this, you have one highly motivated anti user. :( :( :( :( :( Five not happy faces.

### 1/5 — Waste of money!

*2015-09-27*

Not compatible with iPhone 5s. Don't know about others. Gets stuck in one window and you can't go back until you close the app and open again.. With the same problem. Many failed attempts at setting timer so never took any pictures. Waste of time, effort and money!

### 1/5 — Please fix!!

*2015-09-14, version 1.2.1*

I just bought this for my 3GS and it was working great until it finishes rendering when it just crashes every single time. It crashes without fail so I can't get a single exported video out of it. Please fix ASAP!!!

*EDIT* I originally wrote this review on March 12, 2011. Well I now have this app for my iPhone 5S and it was working but now it’s back to not working again. You can’t even get a picture of what you’re trying to time lapse. The screen is black. It also fails to capture frames again! So still a 1 star review. -Sept 13, 2015

### 1/5 — Useless after update

*2015-06-20*

This used to be a great app, after the latest update it is useless- go to screen to select interval, manual and sound - there is no way back! So it cannot be used anymore, so useless

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best app

*2012-09-09*

I love this app it's the best app IV ever played

### 5/5 — Worth the price!

*2012-06-20*

None of the free time-lapse apps are good so I purchased this one based on the reviews. It's simple, and does a great job. I couldnt be happier, well worth the price

### 5/5 — This app is a dream

*2012-06-07, version 1.2.1*

I thoroughly enjoyed the ease of use of the iTimelapse app for iPhone 4. A very quick study, and you're on. Used by this professional multimedia journalist on our news media website. Limited music selections, but the three contemporary tracks were interesting and adequate. I recommend iTimelapse.

### 5/5 — Best time lapse camera app

*2012-05-10, version 1.2.1*

This app is great. I downloaded and used it with no problem. Some people who posted reviews in here probably didn't read where you can use it manually or on the timer which automatically snaps pics as often as you want. Love the render and sharing abilities!

### 5/5 — So much fun!!

*2012-04-05*

I have been making videos all day. Very easy to use and I've been loving every video!!

### 5/5 — It just works

*2012-01-16*

I've always been interested in time lapse photography but never had the time or patience to do it. Now I can do it all on my iPhone 4S, shoot, render and play! Just tried it and it worked fine. Lots of manual adjustment options. Can't fault it! It just works. Love it!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2012-01-11*

I was researching the web on how to make time lapse videos with my DLSR when it occurred to me that perhaps they have an app for that. Amazingly they have several, this being the highest rated and most recommended one. I had the app less then 24 hours and have already produced several time lapse videos. Straight forward and easy to use ( I was making a time lapse within minutes of downloading then opening the app.). What a great experience. While I'll still go through the multiple steps to make one with my DSLR eventually ( Can't get the same optics with iPhone), this app has opened my eyes to the possibilities.

### 5/5 — Very Nice

*2011-11-13, version 1.2.1*

Bought this several years back and has always functioned perfectly. Have recorded many weather events, sunrises and sunsets, and long drives across country with stunning results (try recording a drive with one of the others mentioned above; very cool!).
I noticed a couple of negative reviews and wanted to put my in my two cents: it's a simple program to work with with logical, sequential operations and very nice output.
I've downloaded several other time lapse programs to test against ITimeLapse but they all fall short in multiple aspects.
I highly recommend ITimeLapse.

### 5/5 — a wonderful app

*2011-08-12*

I use iTimelapse Pro all the time to make extensive timelapse movies and it is one of the best photography apps I have purchased. The app is robust and well-conceived. It is possible to add images to any existing sequence and also to render the movie into a variety of resolutions.

My only wish is that it would hold an exposure once set. It will reset to autoexpose each frame before capture. Mostly this is brilliant, but in low light, I often want to set the exposure to bring out a particular feature in the image. If this could be fixed in the next update, it would add another excellent feature to a near-perfect app.

### 5/5 — Nice so far

*2011-06-14, version 1.2.1*

Great to see the updates! Looks like this might be the best stop motion / time lapse app on the app store. So glad it works with my old 3G on 4.2.1. Only thing I would add is the ability for video rendering at less than 1 frame / sec such as 1 frame / 5 seconds.
