## What is Itqan?

Itqan is a companion for practicing Tajweed — for learners building a daily habit, and for the madrasas, Islamic schools, and teachers who run classes.

Test yourself on any Tajweed rule, or join your class with a code and take the quizzes your teacher sets. Teachers build practice quizzes in minutes — write questions yourself, or let Itqan draft them from a topic or from a photo of a worksheet you already use. Every AI-drafted question is reviewed by the teacher before any student sees it.

  PRACTICE ON YOUR OWN
  • Sign up without an institution and test yourself with self-quizzes on any Tajweed topic (e.g. Idghaam, Madd, Qalqalah).
  • Build a daily habit with a rule-of-the-day card, in English or Arabic.

  • Create classes and share a join code — students join in seconds, no roster uploads or spreadsheets.

  Itqan does not show ads and contains no advertising trackers. We collect only what the app needs to work: your account email and name, your institution and class data, and quiz content, plus a push
  token so we can deliver notifications. Worksheet photos are used only to extract the questions and are not stored on our servers. You can delete your account and its content from inside the app at any time.

Today's card brings a tajweed question to your home screen, with the answer one tap away. Set a daily reminder and it arrives at the hour you pick.

In a quiz, tap the progress bar to jump to any question. A paused quiz reopens on the first one you haven't answered, and paused work stays where you can see it.

Sessions record when a class actually ran, a log can move to another date, and the topic comes from one menu.

Scanning a worksheet works again.

Name a quiz before you publish it, and rename it after. Report any question that looks wrong, AI-written ones included. Quiz generation shows real progress now, and the review list holds still while it fills. Qur'anic text is set in the mushaf face at regular weight, with staggered tanween drawn as a tanween. Tajweed warnings say what they mean, and you can save past one you disagree with. Your class list holds your classes. Two schools sharing a name are tellable apart in the switcher.

Home cards now drag into the order you want them in.
Clear the whole inbox in one tap, and tap a notification to open what it is about.
A member's page shows their quizzes, their activity and their average in each class. Students can edit their own name.

Sessions replaces the Quizzes tab: every session in one date-grouped list, with a range filter and a detail page for each one. Logging a session now has its own screen.

Teachers can edit any question — options included — and write the Arabic wording of a question themselves.

You can also rename or delete a class, hand a departing colleague's classes over, and share invite links that survive an install.

Plus fixes to Arabic/English text direction, grading overrides and quiz due dates.
