### 4/5 — Works well, would love to see an expansion!

*2020-04-04*

Lovely app for teaching the grandchildren what is out there!

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2016-09-05*

Great app, highly recommend to anyone. Would be nice if they added bird tracks as well such as duck, goose, grouse, turkey, quail, ptarmigan, etc though...

### 5/5 — ITrack Wildlife

*2014-04-10, version 1.4.2*

I love this app! I'm a professional military tracker and survivalist. Tracking animals is a bit more in-depth though. They really do the things they do through instinct and not out of deception like humans do, lol. Great app PEOPLE!!!👍😎

### 5/5 — Best digital field guide to wildlife tracks by far

*2014-04-04*

I am a professional wildlife tracker and wildlife tracking teacher with over a decade of experience in the field.

This is by far the best digital field guide to wildlife tracking that I have seen. It was obviously created by a highly qualified and very knowledgeable wildlife tracker.

It is full of numerous high quality photographs. The content is really good and it is well laid out. I like having the ability to look up track photographs, range information, animal behavior, and even mammal skull photographs all in my phone.

I find myself using this app often while out in the field, as a track photo reference for my students, and to look up information on range and habits of specific species.

Though this app is not cheap, it is well worth the money, and is half the price you would pay for a comparable quality paper field guide.

All of the other wildlife tracking apps that I have seen are horrible. They are full of mistakes and even in some instances made up false information. They may be cheaper, but what is the point of purchasing a reference app such as this if it contains incorrect or misleading information?

I highly recommend this app for anyone interested in wildlife tracking, animal behavior, or nature.

### 5/5 — Makes Track Identification Easy!

*2014-03-24*

This application is extremely handy! I've used it in the field many times to identify tracks and scat. It's so much more efficient and useful than a guidebook, allowing me to quickly correlate the tracks I see with the animals that left them.
I highly recommend this app to hikers, campers, naturalists, and anyone else who encounters animal tracks and wants to know which animals they are crossing paths with. This app is brilliant!!!

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2014-03-24*

Last update bug fixed and the new version works great! I love this app. A quick, clean and intuitive interface matched with a wealth of expert tracking knowledge... This is THE definitive tracking manual, and one that will always be in my pocket. The app is functional, beautiful, and user-friendly, full of priceless information, tips, photos and illustrations. Love it! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Great little app

*2013-12-21*

Easy to use and does what it claims.

### 5/5 — Best app out there for animal tracking!

*2013-10-09*

This app has been an invaluable tool out in the field it is easy to use and is filled with many interesting facts about the animals themselves. Plus the developer is very responsive to user feedback about any problems or issues that you might have about the app, I highly recommend this app very much when it comes to identifying animal tracks in the field.

### 5/5 — New Update Works Fine

*2013-10-03, version 1.4.1*

*2013-09-27, version 1.4*

### 5/5 — Tracks

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — A waste

*2022-08-25*

I started with A and it doesn’t have an alligator. Very little for the $

### 1/5 — Do not waste your money!

*2021-09-30*

This was not at all what I expected and was not useful. Do not waste your money.

### 1/5 — Not happy with app

*2021-01-10*

Not what I expected it to be

### 1/5 — Incompatible With Dark Mode

*2020-02-17, version 1.8.1*

It’s February, 2020. Doesn’t display properly in dark mode. By this point, for $14.99, it should. No excuse.

### 1/5 — Wassim2003

*2020-01-06*

Very bad Ap not recommend it for no one

### 1/5 — Nooooooo

*2013-09-27, version 1.4*

Crashes all the time....

### 2/5 — Not what I expected

*2023-01-01*

I wanted to snap a photo and find out what animal tracks I was seeing. These are illustrations with what animal made them; a $3 booklet at my local sports store. I purchased the pro app for $14 and it prompted be to upgrade to a bundle, so for 14 more dollars I get the basic version too ? I’m confused and feel ripped off.

### 2/5 — Faulty portions of app

*2013-09-28, version 1.4*

In the 'Tracking Tips' tab all choices cause the app to close out to the IPad homescreen.

In the 'Help' tab the following choices causes the app to close out to the Ipad homescreen -
*Getting Started
*Using Ipad Search Tools
*Provide Feedback
*About
All other choices within the 'Help' tab seem to function properly.

Once this app is fixed and operating properly I will give it a 5 star rating - hope it gets fixed soon.

### 2/5 — Pretty good material BUT...

*2013-04-11, version 1.2.4*

As a wildlife expert I'd say this is a good app but as a consumer who has used the other related apps I'd say this is way too expensive. Though some other apps are only iPhone native in general I'm in the field with the iPhone not iPad. Anyway, just a caution that this isn't worth 3 to 7 times the price of other similar apps (some of which also include additional features).

### 3/5 — iTrack Wildlife review

*2014-03-07*

This app, for the price, could be more inclusive.
When compared to current e-books on tracking, they have a lot more content for less money.
It has over 60 of the common wildlife species, but would be more useful with many more.
It works well on the iPhone, but using an iPad, it stays locked in portrait mode and does not currently support landscape view.
If the developer can keep adding content and provide landscape view for the iPad, then I would up my rating to. 5 stars and it would be worth the price.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best track app I’ve found for the US

*2021-07-09*

I found this app to be a handy reference to always have on hand. It would be nice to have the option of sorting the species taxonomical instead of alphabetically. A quiz feature could also be fun.

### 5/5 — It’s still the best out there!

*2020-12-21*

I’ve been using this app for the past year year and a half or so after taking a tracking class here in the south west. It is by far the best way to identify animal tracks and sign. I would love it if he could upgrade and diversify the data perhaps by teaming up with someone who has done extensive work and is only published in books. Jonah, thank you for this great app and I look forward to improvements in the coming years.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2017-10-31*

I am using this on my Iphone 5 on my field trips. It is totally self-contain for off line use. Very accurate tracking expert guides me as I look around. Better than any field manual I ever own. The developer fix the small wording in two days. So the text is now easy to read. Support this app by buying it.

### 5/5 — Awesome Tool!

*2017-02-24*

Every naturalist, of every level will benefit from having this tool in their pocket on a hike!

### 5/5 — Fantastic deal

*2016-03-09, version 1.5.7*

The amount of information you receive from this app is invaluable. Itrack pro is an incredibly useful tool in the field of wildlife tracking and I would highly recommend this investment for anyone interested in tracking or simply curious about North American wildlife.

### 5/5 — A must-have for naturalists

*2015-04-25, version 1.5.4*

This app has been extremely valuable! I've used it when consulting with landowners and to refresh my skills with ID-ing tracks and sign. The photos and descriptions are excellent in combo with the drawings/diagrams. I can't recommend it highly enough!!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2015-01-27, version 1.5.1*

Excellent application! This app has pictures, discriptions, similar species, and many search tools to help identify animal tracks in the field.

### 5/5 — I LOVE Jonah's iTrackWildlife App!

*2015-01-23, version 1.5.1*

This fabulous app has been crucial to my tracking education. Everywhere I go, I can get in some dirt time with this app as an invaluable teacher. Mostly I track alone, but with this app I have master tracker Jonah Evans with me right there in my pocket! No need to lug heavy books! Best $$ I have ever spent.

### 5/5 — i Track

*2014-10-02, version 1.4.2*

Excellent. Use in the field to help identify game tracks. Great sample photos for comparison.

### 5/5 — Love it
