### 4/5 — Auto/resume

*2021-06-04, version 5.0.0*

Auto/resume won’t stay on when and running still goes on without pausing when stood still.

### 4/5 — Manual data input needed

*2016-08-30, version 4.7.0*

I love this app and have used it for several years both on the treadmill and outside. However, it needs the ability to enter in manual workout data. For example, if you forget to bring your phone with you on a walk you can enter in the distance and time you exercise. Also, if the app accidentally stops during your exercise. There's no way to record the fact that you did exercise that day.
I also love the fact that I can load music into the app and it will play while exercising. I'm looking for another app that can do this and have the manual data input feature. Are there any updates?

### 4/5 — Decent for years

*2014-03-20, version 4.7.0*

I've used it for years and other than a few problems it's been pretty good. I've accidently pressed buttons without knowing and it has stopped on me. It won't log my run if I place the app in background. I also would've liked a share option for I'm in social competition with friends on social nets. Other than that no problems

### 3/5 — Provisional Review

*2013-11-05, version 4.7.0*

Just got this. Seems pretty good, but will not work in the background, and will not reset automatically at the end of the day. So you can't really use this to track your daily steps.

### 3/5 — Work brilliantly👍now it doesn't👎

*2013-09-13, version 4.0.4*

Worked fine until I got my iPhone 5. Please fix it as it is cool

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2013-06-27, version 4.0.4*

Sorry I was suckered into this.

### 4/5 — Nice but lacks features I want

*2013-03-19, version 4.0.4*

I carry an iPod Nano only because it has a pedometer. It records steps, displays distance and calories used. At midnight the Nano saves the daily activity to history and starts the counter over. All I have to do is charge and carry it with me. Since I always have my iPhone it seemed to be a good idea to load pedometer software and leave the Nano at home.

Found iTreadmill is more intrusive than I am willing to put up with. It's philosophy is measure activity when you start an exercise time. I want to measure the days activity without pushing the start and stop button. To work, it must be the foreground app. Switch to email for instance and it quits counting steps. It will prevent the iPhone screen blanker from activating. iTreadmill turns off the display to save power. Not the same because the iPhone blanker can require a pass code to regain access. This was the poison pill for my use. Info on my phone is too sensitive to not use pass code access.

Activity can be saved but it is a manual process.

Nice app but needs to run in the background and while the phone is locked - like GPS Drive from Motion X does.

### 4/5 — NEED CLEARER INFO TO SET YOUR STRIDE.

*2013-02-19, version 4.0.4*

I love this app. Use it all the time. But I have a very short stride so I have a problem setting my stride for a accurate read-out.

### 1/5 — Everything froze

*2013-02-11, version 4.0.4*

I put my phone in my armband, turned on the app, and started working out. However, when I got finished with my workout and went to record my stats, it had completely stopped recording anything after six seconds. I am very disappointed I spent money on this.

### 1/5 — Fix it fix it fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*2013-01-30, version 4.0.4*

I loved this app till it stopped working yesterday !!
FIX IT FIX IT!!!!!

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-01-21*

App doesn’t update Apple Health. You have to physically input data into Health app so data can be used elsewhere. No automated enough in 2023.

### 1/5 — Not with it

*2021-04-13, version 5.0.0*

So this app is really designed for ‘running’ not walking... l made the assumption that it would keep track of my steps but no such luck. If I walk for 20 minutes and assume it is 2000 steps this app says you had 57 steps....Like I said , just not worth it.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work anymore!

*2016-03-01, version 4.7.0*

I used this for several years with no problems and then had to stop for a year due to medical issues. I started up again yesterday, and as soon as I got to my goal, the app closed. I tried to go to the goals page and it closed again. I'm looks by for something different!

### 1/5 — Miss Livy

*2015-09-16, version 4.7.0*

Not a great app. It constantly pauses on its own while I'm walking. Distance is off, probably because of the constant pausing. When phone goes into sleep mode the app stops so you have to constantly keep your screen awake

### 1/5 — Sucked.....

*2014-10-15, version 4.7.0*

I have had this app for about a week, the distance is wrong, The calorie count is way off and it pauses on it's own even when I'm walking. So my husband downloaded a different app and his was on point I was off by calories by almost 200, my distance was off by almost a mile!!! Don't waste your money, you have to hold it in your hand for it to count the steps and move your arms back-and-forth as you're walking, I had it in my back pocket as I was walking it never picked up one step... I wish I could get a refund :(

### 1/5 — Where’s the results?

*2013-12-03, version 4.7.0*

The app is good in concept and screens but it doesn’t work. I start it up and run on my treadmill. During the run the app and the phone itself go to energy save mode. When the run stops and I try to check the results, they have disappeared. Unless they find a way around this, don’t waste your time.

### 1/5 — Used to be a great app!!

*2013-10-15, version 4.0.4*

Does not work with iOS 7..Don't waste your time.

### 1/5 — No good

*2013-10-06, version 4.0.4*

Used it for years. New iOS 7 and it doesn't work at all.

### 1/5 — Was a great app, but not now.

*2013-09-28, version 4.0.4*

ITreadmill was great. I used it a lot and it deserved the great reviews it got. But it doesn't work for me with iOS 7: it goes into auto pause at the drop of a hat. It seems as if something needs tweaking but there's been no update since 2011 so I wonder if the developer is still interested.

Avoid until there's a new version.

### 1/5 — Crap

*2013-07-27, version 4.0.4*

Won't open. Used to work now it doesn't.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very nice app! Has pace in “steps per minute” too!

*2019-12-01*

I love this app. As far as I could find, it’s one of the only apps that gives you your pace in “steps per minute”. I could care less about miles per hour which is what everyone uses. I want steps per minute baby! Having the pace in steps per minute really helps me keep my pace up; I just find it more informative for my purposes. I have a standalone pedometer that I use but I need the steps per minute to help me keep my pace higher when I go for a walk‘s and this app does that for me!

I used iTreadMill when I was dieting and losing weight and wanted to make sure I kept my pace up in order to burn more calories and also to improve my aerobic conditioning. This app helped me to accomplish my goals.

Thank you very much for this app, it really helped me and I’m using it again to attain my health goals! I appreciate you and your app!

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2017-08-26*

This app has been perfect for me as I regain fitness. I am so thankful it's been updated - I've tried many other apps that were supposed to provide the same functionality but did not come close to the accuracy and ease of use of iTreadmill.

### 5/5 — Dralla

*2017-07-10, version 4.7.0*

If this was able to sync with Apple Health it would be the best. Simple to use, accurate and fully informative. Best app I have purchased in a long while. Does exactly what it says on the tin!

### 5/5 — Been using it for years and love it!!

*2017-03-19, version 4.7.0*

I am a walker, both on my treadmill and outdoors. I find this app extremely helpful to track my distance, time, and calories, and easily see my progress.

I usually clip my iphone on to my waistband when walking. First I select my music, then I start this app and lock it so that it doesn't accidentally get reset or something. It works great! Then afterwards I save and rest.

I think that the people who rated this badly don't understand how to use the app properly. There are help pages and videos to ensure that you set it up correctly. If you just spend a little time familiarizing yourself with the app, you will see how great it is.

I really appreciate this app and will continue using it!!

### 5/5 — Great app.

*2015-03-15, version 4.7.0*

Love iTreadmill Pedometer. Have used it for over a year (almost daily). Checked accuracy by driving my car over same walking route. Mileage/distance comparisons were SPOT ON. Brilliant device. Thanks so much.

### 5/5 — Love

*2014-03-12, version 4.7.0*

Best one ever

### 5/5 — Love it

*2013-11-24, version 4.7.0*

This my favorite app. It's the only one I use. I've had it for a few years now. I wish it had a share feature.. Other than that great app. For the person that says you can't reset, yes you can. Just press the stop button and it will give you an option to stop or record it..

### 5/5 — Some snags since latest iOS update

*2013-10-10, version 4.0.4*

Since the latest iOS 7 update, the app doesn't seem to very happy now? Loads of auto pausing for no reason & woefully under recording Km's distance. I've always used iTreadmill due to its simplicity & ease of use. Done a couple of short 6 Km's power walks since updating and they bare no relation to my previous times, calories burnt or step count? I've clocked up over 1500 Km's so would like to continue with this app & build on that total distance. Reading some of the previous reviews, my issues seem to be shared by other uses?

### 5/5 — Works - Happy with the app

*2013-04-23, version 4.0.4*

Not sure about the accuracy.

Update: I do like this app but it now seems to drain my battery. No sure if it was the last apple ios update or if iTreadmill itself needs an update.

### 5/5 — Use it daily and love it.

*2013-02-27, version 4.0.4*

I use this for rebounding and I love it. Love being able to use the music feature. It's never crashed on me.
