## What is It's Starting!?

Showtime isn't start time. Between ads and trailers, the feature often starts 15 to 30 minutes after the time on your ticket. It's Starting! tells you how long the preshow really runs at your theater, and which auditoriums or screens are best powered by moviegoers like you.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
See how long movies typically take to start at theaters near you, based on real logged times from real showings. Every theater is different.
CHOOSE YOUR SEAT WISELY
Moviegoers rate the auditoriums too: screen quality, sound, seats, temperature, and cleanliness. Find out which rooms are worth the trip.
CONTRIBUTE IN ONE TAP
When the lights go down and the feature begins, tap once. Your log makes the estimate sharper for the next person.
MORE GOOD STUFF
Share your ticket from Apple Wallet and the app fills in the movie, theater, and format. Get a reminder when you arrive at the theater. See post-credit scene info and what's buzzing this week.
It's Starting! is a community project in its early days. The more people log, the better the numbers get, everywhere. Be one of the first in your city.
The preshow ends now.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-09-07

Finding and contributing theater information is now easier. Search for more theaters, see fuller addresses, share screen or auditorium details at any time, and view community reports immediately. You can also edit auditorium, format, and showing type after logging a movie. Special-event preshow averages are now tracked separately from regular showings. Plus, improved navigation and reliability fixes throughout.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-30

Search and log movies beyond the standard now-playing list, including re-releases, early screenings and special events. Special presentations are now labeled separately for more accurate start-time averages. We also improved ticket-photo and Wallet matching, countdown reliability, location verification, accessibility and iPhone form behavior, and added a Contact Us option.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-27

• Wallet ticket imports now identify the correct theater more reliably.
• Early screenings, repertory showings, re-releases, director’s cuts, and manually added movies now appear correctly in theater statistics.
• Previously logged theaters retain their community data, so your contribution appears where you expect it.
• New room reports let you share useful auditorium details—even after your visit. Report screen issues, sound quality, seating, temperature, cleanliness, screen size, and more.
• Improved theater matching and optional “Theater Nearby” reminders for saved favorite theaters.
• A redesigned submission system protects logs during poor connections, interruptions, retries, and offline use. Successfully submitted start times and room feedback are much less likely to become lost or duplicated.
• Improved ticket-photo recognition, movie formats, auditorium numbers, and post-movie feedback.
• A cleaner, more consistent cinema-inspired design with clearer actions and less visual clutter.
• Major accessibility improvements, including more readable text, stronger Light Mode contrast, larger touch targets, clearer form labels, keyboard focus, reduced-motion support, and better support for narrow screens and pinch zoom.
• Numerous fixes to theater averages, room-review counts, settings switches, post-log statistics, and privacy handling.
As always, thank you for helping your fellow moviegoers have the best experience!

### 1.1 — 2026-08-17

The app has been rebuilt around the theater you're actually going to.
Look up any theater and get one page for it: how long its previews really run, what's playing, and every auditorium rated room by room — format, picture, sound, seats and temperature.
Add your ticket and the home screen turns into a live countdown to the moment the feature actually starts.
Also new: a How It Works guide, more accurate preshow times, and better reading of Wallet passes and ticket photos.
