I’ve contacted customer support on multiple occasions with not so much as a response or acknowledgement of receipt. Nothing is more frustrating that being ignored. ### 1/5 — Terrible user interface *2021-09-30* Lost data using resume feature. Should be able to save and exit and start a new race when tracking multiple races. Instead of saving data it restarted and I had to manually enter. Also upon sign in it should drop you to a landing page with your races instead of a search page. ### 1/5 — This app is useless *2021-04-17, version 2.2.1* Conveniently this app tracked all 14.2 miles of my first race, then stopped tracking, and didn’t upload or save the data. So...what purpose does the app serve? ### 1/5 — Glitched and added miles, then completely cut out and my race was lost. *2021-04-10* I used this app to complete the virtual Bataan Memorial Death March, which is 26.2 miles and it took us between 9 and 10 hours to complete. First the app glitched during the event and added miles to my and my husbands tracking. Later his app completely shut off and his race info was lost — I told him don’t worry I still have mine but lo and behold when I got to the end of our event I found that mine had shut off as well. Luckily we were also using a Garmin and an Apple Watch. I will never rely on this app! **Developer response:** Hi Melissa. First of all, congrats for finishing this race! It seems that your phones were running very low on battery. In those circumstances the phone may decide to stop running some apps in the background. Anyways how can we assit you? I have tested those markers against 2 other tracking devices, and they’re all VERY close to each other. When I tried to do my 5K today using your app, it did not register 3.1 miles until I had walked/ran 4.15 miles. ### 1/5 — Functionality *2020-09-01* Though I’m registered for my race, the app does not recognize me. Each time I enter the app I have to choose between the “First time/used it before.” Then I have to search my race. Then I get the blue register button though I’m registered and paid. Then I click Tracker and am asked each time to select between 5K/20mi. Finally I can click Use App. I then Start Race and though the app measures time, it does not measure distance. At the end, there is no way to save your race other than pausing, which doesn’t save it to your group. What am I doing wrong. ### 2/5 — Tracking not working *2020-07-06* Installed app to participate in 5k race. Left setting for tracking at default imperial. Started the race and realized that the app wasn’t tracking the race properly. Changed to metric during race but it wa too late. I went 5 miles before the app showed the race completed. I really don’t care about my race time but if it is important to you make sure you set the tracking correctly before the race. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Spectator *2025-09-06* Hours of research and no clear directions on how to track someone. If it works, I could never figure it out. Terrible set up. ### 1/5 — App isn’t working *2025-08-19* I registered virtually for a race and paid. This is the app that this event is using and it’s not showing under my registered events. Initially it was. Now it’s not. I tried to message the It’s Your Race Team and the in app messaging system will not allow me to send the message. My phone and app are all up to date. There are no other issues except for this app and its makers and developers. ### 1/5 — Does not keep login or find all races *2025-08-14* Does not keep login. Have to log in almost every time. Would use FaceID but it says I need to login with email even though FaceID is enabled. Have to delete and reinstall each time I try to login. Reliability is nonexistent. Since the registration period had closed, I was not able to use the app to track my race at all. It was worthless. ### 1/5 — Won’t link to race I paid/donated to when I registered *2023-04-10* Donated to specific race, used same email address for the IYR app and the race donation/fundraiser account. For event administration, it was extremely helpful and allows for automatic reporting of your results which I thought was pretty cool. The app he used alerted me every mile he accomplished. I can’t even get past the awaiting results screen on this app and the race started 57 minutes ago! ### 2/5 — Would be great if it would stop crashing *2025-01-24* Originally the app worked great, but then it started crashing randomly. Now it won’t even let me log in, it will just load until it crashes-and it won’t let me make a new account either. I’ve even tried uninstalling it and redownloading it. Now my race is tomorrow and I will have to do without the app. I will probably end up deleting it.
