### 2/5 — Too expensive.

*2021-07-22, version 4.7.15*

Too expensive.

### 2/5 — Good app, terrible price

*2019-12-20, version 4.7.8*

Price not inviting to use. Could be a go to app if they fix greedy price scheme.

### 4/5 — Great so far, scan export is expensive

*2018-12-17, version 4.7.4*

Very reliable scans in questionable lighting, iPad 12.9” 6th gen and Occipital Structure scanner.

### 2/5 — Great Scanning, Terrible Pricing

*2018-07-19, version 4.7.4*

This app takes great 3D scans, and is much easier to use than Skanect, but the per-model charge for exports is absurd, and the subscription packages are ridiculously overpriced. It makes experimenting with prototypes cost-prohibitive, and while one could pass along the scanning cost of a final product to the customer, that doesn’t really sweeten the deal for anyone on the consumer’s side. Something like charging a buck an export might be feasible; but for someone running a small, experimental startup, these guys are pricing themselves right out of a potentially loyal customer.

### 3/5 — Noooo!

*2018-02-14, version 4.7.2*

This used to be incredible. Lately I’m losing tracking nonstop and it costs $7 per export!?

### 1/5 — Zero customer support

*2017-08-16, version 4.1*

Don't bother emailing for help. Zero response.

### 4/5 — Subscription

*2017-07-11, version 4.6*

The app is great. The 3D models render beautifully. My only complaint is if I don't download the 3 free apps a month included in my subscription plan then I lose them. I usually scan large amounts at once and then might not scan again for a few months. In that time I lose the money I spent unless I remember to pop back in just to download models. Some months I don't have 3 models I want to download.

### 1/5 — driven by greed. look elsewhere.

*2017-04-23, version 4.5.1*

the subscription model is horrible. it's greed, pure and simple. it's like if you bought a car so you could drive to the grocery store but then the car manufacturer charged you an extra $1000 every time you wanted to haul groceries home.

### 2/5 — Good app

*2017-02-23, version 4.3*

I used this with my students a few months ago and it worked great. But a few months later the app was trying to charge me for everything and essentially made the program useless for kids as a fun app allowing downloads for free. Will be deleting it off my iPad.

### 2/5 — Not as good as it was, objects now no

*2017-02-17, version 4.3*

Can't scan objects without complaining

Only busts now and sometimes full body

Please fix, was the *best* Structure.io

Hope this corrupt-date is nothing to do with the Intel acquisition

### 1/5 — Decent app, heinous pricing scheme

*2017-02-03, version 4.3*

The app does an amazing job at creating high resolution color texture onto low-mid poly count meshes. But having to pay $7 to take the scan out of the app is ludicrous. We, the users of this app, already paid $300-$400 for the scanner that works with this app (structure sensor) I would be willing to pay $1-$2 max for scan exports, (since their servers are doing the work) but not $7. Unfortunately itSeez3D was the best app for what I was doing with the structure sensor, since occipital cant seem to make a scanner app that is as good as this for their own sensor. (Skanect is still a joke with that low res texture it creates) ItSeez3D needs to either lower the cost of scan exports, or possibly offer a version of the app that does all the processing on the iPad itself (I would easily pay up to $100 for that!! Meaning a one time cost to purchase app)

### 1/5 — Pay per scan? No.

*2017-01-31, version 4.2*

Loved this app for the past year or so. I was using it in my classroom as the go to app for intro 3D scanning of people. No more. Just spent a day scanning in class only to find that students can't work with their meshes without paying. Bye.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — $7 EACH

*2025-04-12, version 4.8.1*

Sure it is somewhat niche, needing the required 3D scanning hardware, but $7 for every scan export is insane!

### 1/5 — Works better than structure app - predatory pricing

*2021-09-08, version 4.7.15*

Like title it works a lot better but you can only see the quality of model can only be seen by exporting it and exporting costs 7 dollars per export. Incredibly expensive for a slight improvement. I would buy this if it was a paid app but this predatory pricing model makes it impossible to recommend and I’m not sure who this apps market is for with this price.

### 1/5 — Incompatible

*2021-09-01, version 4.7.15*

What happened to realsense support?

### 1/5 — Read whole thing first

*2020-09-11, version 4.7.11*

The one star is for me. Some idiot pretending to be me thought the quick overview was fine, this looked cool for some art projects I do. And only $7. But look up how much the sensor costs. I did not before I laid out my $7. The sensor runs $500, which seems a little steep for a look-see into an iPad possibility. I don’t think the developers can make me smarter. But darn it, they should.

### 1/5 — Price is ridiculous to export

*2019-05-12, version 4.7.5*

It’s charging me 7 dollars to just export one thing. I am not even selling anything so if I want to scan and print my own stuff I have to to pay, which I will not be doing.

On the plus side through this is one of the best scanning apps I’ve found, but pointless because of high price.

### 1/5 — ???

*2019-02-13, version 4.7.4*

9.99$/scan ! Are you nuts ?

### 1/5 — Thief

*2018-12-09, version 4.7.4*

7 dollars for per scan!

### 1/5 — Priced BEYOND ABSURD

*2018-10-29, version 4.7.4*

I’ve travelled to Rome to scan like 90 ancient statues for my app.. havent used this app in a while. Now I wanted to export, and the cost outweighs the cost of the Structure Sensor and my trip Combined!!
Will trash this otherwise great app and its greedy owner wherever I go and present!

### 1/5 — Costs to download is prohibitive

*2018-10-06, version 4.7.4*

A decent product. However, there is no way to save your 3D objects without paying and the cost is enormous. $7/scan (you can download that scan any number of times once you pay) is the entry level. $13/month gets only 3 (!) scans per month. $80 ... that’s EIGHTY ... gets 30 per month. Educational institutions get half off, but even that is prohibitive. Wish there were better options for educators and entry level scanners. Just can’t afford this.

### 1/5 — Having Problem With Scanning Person

*2018-02-06, version 4.7.2*

When I open to scan whole body option instead of the square it give me the red oval which make it very difficult to work with . When it finally turn green , click the scan button and it stop working instead of letting me move around the person I want to scan

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Team Dreamer Designs

*2022-02-23, version 4.7.15*

I have used this APP for over 5 years. IT WORKS, easy to use and is not expensive, per job.

### 5/5 — Great customer support

*2020-02-26, version 4.7.11*

Updating my review. Great customer support, had a problem and they were able to go above and beyond to help fix it. Thanks

### 5/5 — Best app for your structure sensor

*2020-02-19, version 4.7.11*

Much much better then any of the native occipital apps

### 5/5 — Works well

*2018-11-12, version 4.7.4*

Does what it says. The scans are a little expensive, would be nice to include a few free scans. Hasn’t been updated for a year but works ok with current iOS.

### 5/5 — Great at scanning various things

*2018-11-04, version 4.7.4*

We used this to scan a client’s head to then graft onto a dancing body using Adobe Mixamo, 3DSMax, and AfterEffects. The scan was perfect for what we were using it for. I’ve also scanned car parts and other objects to mess around with. The price for models isn’t bad, people can’t expect this product and processing for free. ItSeez3D created an app that Occipital should have included with the Structure sensor, so kudos to them. I hope to see updates with even higher res textures and models to really push the Structure sensor.

### 5/5 — Fantastic Product and Customer Service

*2017-12-01, version 4.7.2*

The 3D scans using itSeez3D are far superior to any other iSense/ structure Sensor based program I have found. The customer service is also fantastic.

### 5/5 — Good software

*2017-05-11, version 4.5.1*

The software is much better than the software provided with the structure sensor scanner. The people scanning gives good texture maps particularly around the face. I started using itSeez3D in summer of 2016 when it was free. I teach college art classes and found it a great way to introduce digital processes. I wish the geometry of the scan were a bit more detailed--eyes, lips, etc. look very rounded and indistinct without the texture map--but for the price it is a good value for my purposes.

When the price was changed I contacted them and they offered me a free account for educational purposes. I see they have that now on their pricing page. I think many businesses will find the price worth it. I'm glad they are making the software available for non commercial entities as well.

### 5/5 — iPhone

*2017-03-20, version 4.4*

Make for iPhone

### 5/5 — Works with my iPad Air 2

*2015-03-01, version 2.0*

Worked first time on an iPad Air 2
Excellent software. I have an isense because I did not find out about the structure sensor in time. I was locked into their software and literally never made it produce a good scan.
This app succeeded within ten minutes.
Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Great 3d Scanner

*2014-12-09, version 1.2*

Best 3d scanner for Occipital’s Structure sensor.
