Is nothing proof read or checked before posting? ### 2/5 — Local news *2023-12-12, version 2.44.3* I keep wanting to change the local news from border to highland but the app will not let me. Woke etc is beyond the joke now. This ITV app appeared to be quite good, I did enjoy the easy to layout, There are not windows popping up left right and centre, it is a straightforward scroll down and What is saying read, or don't read format. However, updates are very slow to arrive, not sure if there are push notifications or not? As another reviewer mentioned – I find it frustrating not being able to see categories, or even a search facility. One thing the BBC do have is an excellent search and category option, even the ability to edit your own news subjects, but that is all I feel it offers me at the moment. I was hoping this ITV would be for me, but sending me off to the website every time I seem to click on something is failing the intention of a "app" completely. If there was an imminent update with some practicality attached to it, I will be back to it like a shot. ### 1/5 — Can’t use *2023-11-15, version 2.44.3* Since the last update, the app doesn’t work. Today, a friend had messaged me on Facebook messenger to let me know the sad news that Matt Perry had died; however, it was a further hour before that appeared on the ITV news app. Even then, it had clearly been rushed with the headline reading “Friends star Matthew Perry has dead (sic) aged 54”. Anti Johnson *2023-03-05, version 2.43.4* The stories are so poorly written that some don’t even make sense. Every story has a propaganda piece against Boris Johnson at the bottom. He’s gone. So what’s the point of the app? Useless. Shame because the content is great and the website has had a lot of improvements recently. If ITV want an actual audience or people actually using this app, it needs a real overhaul. Currently have the website pinned to my homescreen instead because of how useless the app is. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No Sound and No Support for ITV News App on Up to Date IPhone 15 *2025-11-16, version 2.48.1* No sound on this app for me. Tried support but there is no support for this app. ### 1/5 — Locked orientation *2025-11-11* I only have an iPad and because of accessibility issues I can only use it in landscape mode, sadly this app doesn’t support landscape and is locked in portrait mode making it unreadable. I suspect it’s the only news app like that. The BBC give a more biased portrayal. I’ve had no issues with this app on the iphone. ### 3/5 — App does not refresh *2024-10-12* On opening app it loads to last page seen, doesn’t refresh. If I last opened yesterday and go to Home, will still be on yesterdays stories, have to manually refresh it.
