Doesn't work away from home network. I'm on my way back to Lidl for full refund. ### 1/5 — Dreadful, stay away! *2015-08-09, version 4.1* Spent 4 days trying to get email system to work and failed despite 2 emails and a call to Lidl. Needs advanced knowledge of SMTP AND FTP setup to get basics started through PC. Smartphone ap kept crashing and when it did work has poor functionality. Took camera back to Lidl yesterday and got my money back. STAY AWAY! ### 1/5 — Terrible don't open the box *2015-08-06, version 4.1* I bought this surveillance camera from Lidl and oh I wish I hadn't. I am now on day 3 of attempted installation. I phoned the Lidl help desk it took 25 mins to get through and as I was listening to music no doubt paying for that at a cost of 10 p per minute. I was eventually connected with the company in Germany who were not really helpful. All I got was well it's working on my iPhone. They were rude and unhelpful. They would not listen to me. They still never fixed the problem and are phoning me back tomorrow. I can see the image from the camera when I am connected to my wifi at home but not through my mobile when I leave the house. The alarm settings don't work ...... ### 1/5 — Constant crashes *2015-08-05, version 4.1* Updated app today and now it closes after 1-2 mins of operation. Didn't do this before update. If you have app don't do update. It will screw up your ability to use it. What a load of rubbish!!! ### 1/5 — Big Disappointment *2015-12-22, version 4.2.2* I bought two cameras about 6 months ago. No problem - they worked well. So I bought another two for household security. Went to Australia and after a while, then probably with the software upgrade no pictures, demanding passwords etc. Also could only view in 4 picture format so lost the detail of the full screen - big disappointment. And guess what also getting somebody else’s pictures which I really do not want ! ### 1/5 — Still Rubbish *2015-11-29, version 4.2.2* Art of Work, can you please give more specific details of how you got it to work? Did you need to reinstall the cameras? Have you got single camera view and control! I can get one camera on 4 camera view which no control. The other camera is always offline! If you can provide an idiots guide if possible please! So, in the meantime I still have to say Why can you not rate with zero stars? Even one is too good for this App. As before, do not update if you have still got the pre 10th November version. The developers have tinkered with the App again. But as with the previous update it does not work. They have managed to turn what was a workable and functional App in to what I can only now call a pile of cr4p. Makes my cameras worthless ornaments. Come on developers be big enough to acknowledge you have messed up big time and revert to the App before the previous update in 10 November. Do you not test what you are doing before irritating your users? And, what about some decent user instructions too? Why do developers always think that they need to update? Just leave if it ain't broke. ### 1/5 — No more access *2015-11-20, version 4.2.2* No more access to the cameras whatsoever after the upgrade. No response from the app developers. Poorest upgrade and customer service ever. I will rate this upgrade minus hundred (-100). I have to put one star because that is the only option in order to post my review. Current upgrade is still not good. No connection to the camera. Please sort this out. You are making the camera a waste piece of equipment. ### 1/5 — Upgrade *2015-11-20, version 4.2.2* Downloaded the update and still the same. Nice one ## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — I got it working at last! *2015-11-24, version 4.2.2* If you have downloaded the new app and lost the settings you need to press the 🔵with the > inside. Then add the wifi password etc. I had to change the admin password too. But eventually it will work better than the old app! 😃 ### 4/5 — Its not bad! *2015-11-04, version 4.1* Bought fromLidl. Easy to install, the key is that your wifi is working well. Its a cheap piece of kit that works well, if you want NASA standard kit then you will need to pay for it. I wish I would have bought 2 cameras tho! ### 4/5 — Works for me *2015-08-15, version 4.1* Don't know what everyone's problem is, got the camera installed the app and bobs your uncle. Can view my cam from anywhere. ### 3/5 — Pathetic 2 upgrades *2015-12-02, version 4.2.2* Get a pin and hold the camera upside down and press the reset button for 20secs !this got me into the set up mode and now my cam is up and running again. ### 2/5 — Delete *2021-07-31, version 4.2.2* So u finally got it working but couldn’t delete cameras I previously installed onto the app ### 2/5 — Finally got this working *2016-07-01, version 4.2.2* Ok so after weeks of faffing about heres how i got mine working. Hold down the reset button under the camera for at least 20 seconds This will facory reset the camera. Connect the camera to your router via a cat 5 lan cable Get the latest version of this app Launch the app and delete any instance of your camera Search Lan for a new camera, it should pick yours up after a reset, if not keep the lan cable in and do the 20 sec reset again Once you find the camera in the app just go with defaults, dont enter a password at this point Once you try to connect to the camera view it should ask you to ser a new admin password and guest account. Set these. It might reset again after this but try to connect, if it says wrong password go to the camera settings and enter your pasword. That should get you connected and viewing the camera via the lan cable. You can now go in and setup your wireless. Thats worked for me, hope it helps you all that have been struggling with this. I am in no way affiliated with the camera or software company. Just figured it out. ### 2/5 — Needs some work *2015-11-07, version 4.1* This app could be really good but has a couple of really frustrating issues. It's almost impossible to set a shot using P/T 'swipe ' function. You swipe, nothing happens, so you try again but then the camera suddenly pans/tilts at speed and overshoots. Spent hours trying to set a few presets. And just when you think you're getting there, the app crashes.
