### 4/5 — Fantastic app, but…

*2026-08-08, version 71*

The security walkthroughs and guides are out dated for iOS 26+ as many of the routes and naming conventions for certain settings have been changed. I had to google the setting to figure out where they are, and what they are called now. Please update, or have options for different iOS versions. This is the only reason I’m giving the app 4 stars instead of 5.

### 3/5 — Could use an update and some TLC!

*2026-07-18, version 71*

I appreciate this app. But it feels rather inactive personally. Also there never seems to be any news notifications or any kind of reminder to do a monthly scan. And the widget is no good. Pure white when added to the home screen.

### 3/5 — Can’t share diagnostic file

*2026-06-12, version 71*

For the free version it offers good value, however there seems to be a bug where iVerify does not appear as an option for an app to share to when attempting to upload a diagnostic file to scan. I followed instructions to tap share, more, etc.. however iVerify appears nowhere in the list of apps to share to and there is no other way to upload the file from within the app.

### 2/5 — Needs updates

*2026-05-27, version 71*

From the security within the app I have no issues it’s a good tool but for accessibility it’s not good I use iOS (iPhone) and I can add widgets for this app but the widgets are plane white showing no data from the app making the widgets useless

### 2/5 — button combination

*2026-04-03*

whoever had the bright idea to require a button combination to start a forensic diagnosis, that also sends you to the emergency call/shut down menu, and cancels out the diagnostic start must be a bright one. why make this function so finnicky? what's the point to make it so needlessly difficult (especially on larger phones) to start the diagnosis? "hold this for 0.5-1 second" could've also written "turn your phone off, and punch in the konami code frame perfect between 20-10 frames before the phone actually shuts down, to start diagnosis"
why can't it just be a start button after the consent screen? that wouldn't require one to hit buttons that shortcut to call emergency services or shut down the phone.

### 2/5 — Update

*2025-11-24, version 67*

Are they going to ever update this app

### 4/5 — Improved but hangs

*2025-10-24, version 67*

Initially, like others, I had great difficulty activating the scan because following the directions would either take a screenshot or lead to the lock screen. This has been greatly improved, however. For the last couple of months, the app has become more sensitive to the button pushes (which only need to be held for a fraction of a second to initiate the scan) and will now begin the scan, even if the buttons are depressed too long and a screenshot results. However, concurrent with this improvement, the app has now begun hanging on the “Scan Processing” step, after completing the scan and uploading it to iVerify and will not show the results unless I push “Stop”, after several minutes. (This is for a new phone, with very little data on it.) Otherwise, the scan processing will never complete. Only after stopping it, are the scan results displayed.

### 2/5 — Serious corncern about this actual app origin ...

*2025-09-28, version 67*

I have been under the worst spyware type case for over 6 months, this app did just appear on my iphone and I honestly didnt think about it then while trying to backup my ipad (which was on a faraday bag i could not even for hours will cancell the connection to my laptop then I saw apparently this app which i didnt install was open and I found like a custom mail "6mmnm9mryj.com.trailofbits.iverify2.sys." then months after I loose access of my accounts my own phone started to act like it was self drive I come to the same place and I ask myself even if I have a real app because if no this is just unrealistic , I just gonna say that but very confuse about this..

### 3/5 — Metadata removal issue?

*2025-09-04, version 67*

Apps been pretty cool and informative for the most part. Almost been two years I’ve had it however, recently I am no longer able to remove metadata from pictures.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Forensic scan fails

*2026-08-11, version 71*

I uploaded my forensic data and the uploaded it. However, I didn’t receive any results after 12+ hours.

### 1/5 — No link

*2026-07-30, version 71*

Can’t do a forensic scan if there is no link available. Yeah,yeah,yeah…15 pro max latest iOS update and restarted my phone

### 1/5 — Share issue

*2026-07-15, version 71*

I am using the latest version of iVerify Basic on an iPhone 13 Pro Max running iOS 26.5.2. I followed the Threat Hunting instructions exactly, generated a sysdiagnose, and tried to share it. However, “Share with iVerify Basic” never appears in the iOS Share Sheet.

I have reinstalled the app, restarted my iPhone, and confirmed that the Share Sheet works correctly with other apps, but iVerify Basic is still missing.

Is this a known issue, or is there another way to upload the sysdiagnose file? At the moment, the Threat Hunting feature cannot be completed because the app’s share extension does not appear. Please investigate and fix this issue.

### 1/5 — Paid but did not receive promised scans

*2026-06-27, version 71*

I paid for iVerify Basic after being told I would receive 5 Threat Hunting / forensic scans per month. However, my monthly quota shows 0 remaining, and I have not received the scans I was promised.

I was also told that individual subscriptions were not available and that subscriptions were only for companies, but I was still given the impression that I would receive the monthly scan allowance. This was not fulfilled.

I expected either a proper individual subscription, the promised scan allowance, or a refund. Instead, I paid and the service did not work as described for me. I am disappointed and cannot recommend it unless the developer restores the promised scans or refunds users who did not receive what they paid for.

### 1/5 — Broken, worthless, utter waste of time and money

*2026-06-24, version 71*

This seemed to have worked for a few months until recently when i can't even upload a scan result to the people who make the app.

In fact, I'm beginning to sense that this app IS malware, not a means of scanning for it or protecting myself and my device.

Their other apps appear to be for individuals until you download them then discover that they've not, they're for enterprise.

Come on, Apple, DO BETTER!

This is one more reason for me to go back to Android.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-03-19, version 71*

Tried to hold two volume buttons and side button, nothing happened. Inform me to upgrade to latest software which I already have. What a waste of time!

### 1/5 — This app is scam

*2026-03-05, version 71*

I paid for this app why are we not getting these feature ?

Continuous Checks

Smishing Protection

Unlimited Forensic
Scans

Conditional Access
Control

### 1/5 — Useless. Got malware while using

*2025-12-17, version 69*

Useless app. My iPhone 17 got infected with malware while using. Scans showed nothing.

### 1/5 — Bait and switch

*2025-09-27, version 67*

Nice to know they stopped continuously scanning but continued to show the "no signs of compromise" message as if they continue to check. A little "hey, we're not providing the ongoing scans you paid for" would be neat.

### 1/5 — Suspicious app! ‼️

*2025-08-10*

Hi, I’m Diyorbek. Due to missing function for cancellation of subscription now my Apple account is being charged 1 € each month which don’t want to have. I sent email nothing but silence, there is no appropriate action button in the app.

I am very disappointed and I recommend not to use this software and I would like explanation from the customer service team.

Regards,
Diyorbek

Une app absolument indispensable pour les experts en sécurité et conseils incroyables en matière de hardening, threat hunting et scan forensic

### 5/5 — News and updates?

*2026-04-14*

The app is great but there also needs to be the latest iOS security guides and news for the newest iOS in 2026? The menus in iOS have changed and with the current administration and AI and hacking there needs to be news articles listed in the app updated regularly. Please.

### 5/5 — More Consumer Upgrades!

*2025-12-11, version 69*

Excellent app and service, my only complaint is all premium upgrades are locked behind enterprise plans, and I'm just an individual. Please create a premium tier for consumers.
