## What is iWidget?

Your Home Screen. Your ideas.

iWidget is a DIY studio for your wallpaper. Choose content, arrange blocks, and style every detail. Start from a set. Make it yours.

DIY THE CONTENT
Build beyond a fixed card. Separate time, dates, weather, photos, text, countdowns, and app launchers into blocks. Move, resize, or remove blocks. Build a photo layout or a daily board. No coding required.

78 ADDABLE BLOCK TYPES. ROOM FOR YOUR IDEAS.
Combine calendars, week strips, digital and analog clocks, year progress, lunar dates, solar terms, festivals, moon phases, and seasonal details. Add Apple Weather, hourly and daily forecasts, rain, wind, and sunrise or sunset. Weather symbols, temperatures, conditions, and high/low readings can be arranged separately.

Add your own words, greetings, photos, symbols, dividers, and countdowns. Battery, storage, memory, processor, thermal state, network, connectivity, music, and step blocks bring useful information into the same composition. Data varies by device and permissions.

A REAL DIY EDITOR
Work on a fine grid. Select several blocks, align them, copy their appearance, or overlap them using layers. Hide a block without deleting it. Adjust type, spacing, transparency, corners, borders, and shadows. Undo, redo, and create separate arrangements for different sizes.

82 DESIGN SETS TO GET YOU STARTED
Follow customization highlights to edit the relevant block. Save copies for different wallpapers. Keep originals and your own versions separately. Or start from an empty canvas.

MADE TO BELONG TO YOUR WALLPAPER
Use a clear, solid, or gradient background, with separate light and dark appearances. Check text contrast. Import a Home Screen screenshot to preview slot alignment. Screenshots affect in-app previews, not the real system wallpaper. Transparency depends on system support.

PHOTOS WITH PERSONALITY
Crop, rotate, fit, or fill. Try circles, hearts, stars, and more masks. Adjust opacity and scale. Turn transparent images into stickers with optional overflow and shadows.

APP SHORTCUTS, YOUR WAY
Add app launch blocks to your design. Arrange icons in a row, around a ring, or freely alongside dates, weather, and photos. Customize their appearance and tap to launch an app. Opening depends on the app, link, and system.

KEEP YOUR WORK. SHARE YOUR IDEAS.
Share an .iwidget file or an offline QR code, preview imports, and copy blocks between designs. Choose the saved design for each widget. New work never silently replaces it.

INFORMATION WITH PERSONALITY
Bring lunar dates, festivals, solar terms, and almanac into a modern composition. Choose Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, or English. App language can differ from the system language. Customize Today with dates, weather, upcoming items, and countdowns. Optional iCloud sync keeps your designs on your own devices.

PRIVATE, WITHOUT THE CLUTTER
No account or ads. Designs stay on your device unless you enable private iCloud sync. Location is optional: choose a city manually. Health access is optional and read-only. Lock Screen and Control Center features vary by system.

FREE EXPERIENCE AND MEMBERSHIP
Download free. Try all editing tools for 7 days from first use. No automatic charge. Then choose monthly or annual membership, or a one-time lifetime purchase. All plans share the editor. Browse, add, import, and open saved designs free. Editing needs the free experience or membership. When that ends, Home Screen, Lock Screen, and Quick Launch show a lock; tap opens membership.

Apple supplies prices. Apple may charge within 24 hours before renewal. Buying during the free experience charges immediately. Cancel renewal in Apple subscription management; paid access lasts through its valid period. Lifetime does not cancel an existing subscription. Restore purchases in the app. Tips unlock nothing. No Family Sharing. Requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7.0 — 2026-11-06

iWidget v1.7.0 is here

Clocks and weather readouts look sharper on the Home Screen: second rings, expressive hands, cleaner gauges, and tuned template colors.

1. Second ring decoration: wrap digital or analog clocks with eight ring styles. The center stays open for time. Rings can track clock motion and respect Reduce Motion on widgets.

2. Analog hand colors: hour, minute, and second hands can use solid colors, gradients, rainbow, or dynamic iridescent tints. Dynamic hands recover after Low Power Mode instead of staying frozen in snapshots.

3. Clock outer rings on widgets: tick marks and arcs use steady system-clock motion. Square progress rings get cleaner corners and seams. Layout fits the block more predictably.

4. Library color refresh: four new small clock layouts join the catalog.

5. Temperature blocks: choose degree suffix and unit style. On graphic high and low layouts, current, high, and low labels can use three independent sizes. You can nudge readouts along the bar or arc by up to 200 points so long numbers do not crush the graphic.

6. Graphic high and low refinements: gauge markers align with the arc stroke. Bar layouts keep stable bar length with room for end labels. Narrow blocks cap marker size so the chart stays readable.

7. Day progress arcs: the arc endpoint uses a solid accent dot for clearer progress at a glance. Gradient edits on analog faces group into a single undo step.

8. Editor galleries: preset tiles for analog faces and clock outer rings speed up styling from the inspector.

9. Fixes: improved editor stability and performance, including cases where the editor could crash. Analog hand drawing avoids bad layout when the block is extremely small. Importing .iwidget files from Files, share sheets, and Open in iWidget remains reliable.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-11-05

iWidget v1.6.0 is here

More clock personality on the Home Screen: second rings, richer hand colors, and sharper weather numbers, plus refreshed template colors.

1. Second ring decoration: add a ring around digital or analog clocks with eight styles. Center stays clear for your time readout. Rings can share motion with your clock layout and respect Reduce Motion on widgets.

2. Analog hand colors: hour, minute, and second hands can use solid colors, gradients, rainbow, or smooth dynamic tints driven by the system clock without extra timeline load.

3. Clock outer rings on widgets: tick marks and arc progress use reliable system-clock motion on the Home Screen, with cleaner square-ring corners and layout that fits the block.

4. Template color refresh: many library presets pick up color tuning. Four new small clock sets join the catalog for quick minimal layouts.

5. Weather typography: choose how temperature shows the degree sign and unit. High, low, and current values on bar and gauge layouts can use separate sizes.

6. Editor galleries: browse preset tiles for analog faces and clock outer rings from the inspector to apply a look faster.

7. Fixes: improved editor stability and performance, including cases where the editor could crash. Home Screen clock and second-ring widgets keep smoother minute updates after add, save, or returning to the app. Importing .iwidget design files from Files, share sheets, and Open in iWidget remains reliable.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-11-04

iWidget v1.5.0 is here

Pick a look before you place a block, launch apps your way, and trust clocks and drafts to stay steady on the Home Screen.

1. Block styles in the palette: when you add or replace a block, choose from many visual recipes for the same kind, from clocks and weather to photos and launchers. Search by style name. Existing saved designs are unchanged.

2. Manual launch targets: add apps by bundle ID, custom URL, or Shortcuts link when they are not in the catalog. Clear fields, try open, and manage recent picks. Launch icon outlines and orbit track colors are easier to tune.

3. Weather trends: temperature curves can color by temperature with custom anchors and labels. High and low blocks gain finer bar and gauge options, including arc labels and a separate current-temperature size.

4. Activity blocks: set colors and type sizes for icons, values, units, titles, and progress separately so metrics and trend charts match your board.

5. iCloud sync status: see sync progress in Settings and My Designs, sync now when online, and get a clear note when a design is waiting to upload while you edit.

6. Clock widgets: adding or saving a design delivers a full minute timeline up front, and the app refreshes board widgets when you return to the foreground so time and seconds stay in sync.

7. Safer editing: automatic local draft checkpoints while you work, with stack page edits merged back into the parent design instead of saving alone.

8. Fixes: improved editor stability and performance, including cases where the editor could crash. Draft checkpoints help recover after an unexpected quit. Home Screen clocks no longer stall on a short preview timeline. Importing .iwidget files from Files, share sheets, and Open in iWidget stays reliable.

If iWidget helps your Home Screen, please rate or review on the App Store, or send feedback from About. Thank you.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-11-03

iWidget v1.4.0 is here

Turn weather into charts, motion into stories, and wallpaper into frosted glass. This release adds new data blocks, richer backgrounds, fresher icons, and an easier way to reach the community.

1. Frosted backgrounds: give the whole board or individual block panels a frosted look. Tune color opacity and blur strength for solid, gradient, and transparent modes, with separate light and dark settings. Blur samples your imported wallpaper by widget slot so text and photos stay sharp.

2. Temperature curve block: plot hourly or daily temperatures in a compact chart you can style like any other block. High and low readings can switch to bar or gauge graphics for a bolder weather board.

3. Activity blocks: show steps, walking distance, or active energy as metrics or trend charts. The editor can preview a simple animated figure for motion-style layouts; widgets stay efficient with static charts.

4. New template sets: browse weather trend and activity dashboard presets in the library to start faster with charts already arranged.

5. Smoother membership: on cold start, paid status is restored from the widget snapshot before StoreKit finishes syncing, so the trial banner is less likely to flash by mistake. Paid members no longer see the extra membership card at the top of My Designs.

6. Fixes: improved editor stability and performance, including cases where the editor could crash. Importing .iwidget design files from Files, share sheets, and Open in iWidget is more reliable, so sharing and importing designs should fail less often.

If iWidget helps your Home Screen, please rate or review on the App Store, or send feedback from About. Thank you.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-11-02

iWidget v1.3.0 is here

This update brings a more cinematic Home Screen and smoother editing: 3D stack carousels, moon phases that follow the calendar, refreshed templates and weather art, plus fixes for editor crashes and design import issues.

1. 3D stack carousel: switch between flat pages and a 3D card carousel. Side pages turn to the front before you tap. Motion respects Reduce Motion. New one-tap entries in the block panel help you build multi-page boards faster, including a 3D launch carousel starter.

2. Daily moon phase block: choose realistic texture, clean vector, or the classic eight-phase system look. Phases follow the lunar calendar day by day. Widget timelines refresh across midnight, and My Designs previews stay in sync with the date.

3. Smoother membership: on cold start, paid status is restored from the widget snapshot before StoreKit finishes syncing, so the trial banner is less likely to flash by mistake. Paid members no longer see the extra membership card at the top of My Designs.

4. Fixes: improved editor stability and performance, including cases where the editor could crash. Importing .iwidget design files from Files, share sheets, and Open in iWidget is more reliable, so sharing and importing designs should fail less often.

If you enjoy iWidget, please leave a rating or review on the App Store, or send feedback from About in the app. Thank you for helping us improve.
