### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2024-09-29, version 3.5.8*

Just a bit hard to understand at times, but you get it after a few days. I would just like it better if……………………………………………………………………………………………… it just let you print more easily. I’ve bean trying to do it for weeks, to no avail.

### 4/5 — A pianist question

*2020-11-29, version 3.0.20*

How do you add base clef / left hand

### 2/5 — Has promise, but parts are unuseable

*2020-06-04, version 3.0.19*

This has the makings of a really intuitive, useful little app for notating music. If you have any experience of music writing software you’ll figure this out - it’s pretty light on features, but for jotting down sketches and the basics, it has most of what you need.
However, the menus are not displaying correctly - the text is overlayed with three of four headings sitting on top of each other, making some of the menus unreadable (hence I can’t tell you exactly what features are available because I can’t read or access some of them). This feels a real shame, and a lost opportunity. I would gladly pay for the full version if I thought that menus and labels would display adequately.
Oh, and having just read Barry Cooper’s biography of Beethoven that has the same image of the composer on the cover, devs: I’d just flag the copyright issues here.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2019-12-10, version 3.0.19*

The app is not good quality very bad not recommended even George doesn't like

### 4/5 — This app has a lot of potential

*2019-12-02, version 3.0.19*

I hope the developers could consider this features in the future:
1) Jazz font feature it would be great!
2) rehearsal or section marks it would be awesome!
3) to have the option “Show/Hide” Favorites bar. Over the main options bar, or some kind of “custom options bar”.

Congrats, kudos for the rhythmic notation and also the 4 slash for every bar. That reduce a lot of time. Loved!
Hopefully you could consider this features.

Thank you for this app.
Greetings and blessings.

### 3/5 — Im a little confused

*2019-07-27, version 3.0.18*

I was starting a song, and I heard MOST of the notes, but not all of them. Like, every 6th note or so would be silent, so when I played the song, it sounded like I’d doubled some notes, which I was VERY confused about because I didn’t hear half the notes I put in the song. Then, it KICKED ME OUT!!

### 1/5 — Do do

*2019-03-06, version 3.0.16*

It’s just terrible you can’t use it without being a mastermind horrible layout

### 1/5 — Sound Issue

*2018-04-23, version 3.0.16*

I don't know if it's just me, but if I make a score, I would like to be able to hear the music, not just watch at the bar move across the notes.

### 1/5 — Does not save

*2018-04-20, version 3.0.16*

It took me ages but finally I had the first few bars. But it was time to leave it. When I was ready to start again - there was nothing there. Nothing. Not so much as the title or the time signature, and I hadn't even managed to make it insert the key signature. Not impressed to date.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2018-03-30, version 3.0.16*

It just needs better sound. If it had better sound, I’d never use anything else.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2017-12-29, version 3.0.14*

I spent far too long (unsuccessfully) trying to copy and paste a bar of notes. This on top of not being able to do anything else much.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I hate it

*2025-07-31, version 3.6.6*

I would give it a zero if the star could let me

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2024-03-31, version 3.5.8*

It doesn’t work. When I click where I want to put the note, it puts it somewhere completely different and it’s also very glitchy

### 1/5 — Can’t create extra staff

*2022-12-22, version 3.5.0*

This app doesn’t seem to have the ability to create extra staffs. If you only want to write solo music for an instrument, then this app will do the trick. If you have more than one instrument, then look elsewhere. Or maybe you have to get the paid version to get this feature.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2022-11-23, version 3.5.0*

This app is just evil.
I know it’s a free app and all, but they really made it so low quality and when you print it, their watermark is scattered all over the page.
iWriteMusic is written on the sheet music making it hard to read,
And at the bottom it says Written with iWriteMusic, they used their name everywhere.
There is way to many in app purchases with their series. And I just think it’s low quality and hard to understand.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2021-08-09, version 3.3.3*

I’ve tried everything to change the clef to alto following the tutorial but nothing works. I had high hopes for this app but it simply doesn’t work. I’m disappointed but I’ll keep searching for one that does. I will now delete this app. And now you make it very difficult to send this critique forcing me to rate the app first. You got one star too many.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2020-05-13, version 3.0.19*

This is terrible it doesn’t work! I hate it I can’t do anything ughhhhhhh

### 1/5 — Mbd g

*2019-12-12, version 3.0.19*

J’espère que cette app ce fais takedown.

### 1/5 — Une des pires applications

*2019-12-12, version 3.0.19*

Cette application elle crash tout le temps , j’ai perdu le tiers de ma vie sur cette application 🤬🤮🤢

### 1/5 — So garbage, dont download it

*2019-12-12, version 3.0.19*

It crash and so bad i want to destroy my ipad when i use it

### 1/5 — Worst app I’ve seen so far

*2019-12-10, version 3.0.19*

I am a news reporter for the 75 district of the United pencils of Glasgow. My work mate George who told me to write a documentary about this app said this app was made from pure cannabis. This is fake news because I tried to make a blunt but it didn’t work.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Bad

*2024-07-17, version 3.5.8*

Bad

### 5/5 — Op

*2023-06-16, version 3.5.1*

Love it! This is OP

### 5/5 — Most useful tool in teaching

*2022-03-18, version 3.4.0*

I put accompaniments in my app, and use playback for my students to practice a song. I can select only certain tracks, or all tracks, I can change the tempo. The writing tool gets more and more sophisticated, adding more capabilities. I love this!

### 5/5 — Works well

*2021-12-18, version 3.3.5*

Enjoying it so far

### 5/5 — this app is soooo not halal mode

*2021-10-17, version 3.3.3*

horrible u need to be a mastermind to make stuff on this

### 5/5 — This app makes notation very easy !!!

*2020-10-10, version 3.0.20*

I am a private music teacher and I sometimes need quick notation done and this app makes my job zoom by likes flash !!!

### 5/5 — Good app

*2020-06-17, version 3.0.19*

The tool bar can be designed to be bigger and with a bigger button since I always click the wrong button. And why my app have NO SOUND although the bar is scrolling ? :( I've checked the settings.

### 5/5 — My thoughts about this game

*2020-02-17, version 3.0.19*

I like it but it's just a little too glitchy on making songs but the fact that it can save your songs and title makes up for it. I have a big screen monitor and I have Noteflight on it but it doesn't save the title unless you pay for it☹️☹️😭😭

### 5/5 — Most important app I own

*2018-09-03, version 3.0.16*

I have used this app for 4 years and it has saved me countless hours in transcribing music. It covers nearly every conceivable musical notation and is easy to use. I play the flute in a church choir and I have over 200 pieces of music in the app. The developers have been extremely responsive when I’ve had a question about using the app.

### 5/5 — Remarkable

*2017-12-21, version 3.0.14*

I have been using this over the last month to write a small piece for 6 instruments for Christmas. I'm pretty new to this. My free month of Sibelius was intimidating, this seems much simpler and intuitive. Occasionally note input freezes and I have to go back a step to waken it up but otherwise it behaves very well. Great to be able to sort out transposing instruments just by playing with the key signature at the end. Remarkable because it's free ! Who knows , I may lash out and buy pro to get rid of the watermarks.
