On the evening of travel, the bus operator contacted me and informed me that the non-AC bus I had booked was not available and that only an AC bus was available. They demanded an additional ₹150 per ticket, which amounts to ₹1,050 extra for all 7 tickets. This issue was not caused by me. If there was a change in bus type, the passengers should have been informed well in advance. Asking passengers to pay additional charges at the last moment is unfair and unacceptable. When I contacted AbhiBus customer support to report this issue, the executive was unhelpful and rude. Instead of listening to my concern and providing a solution, she repeatedly argued with me and failed to understand the actual problem. She simply stated that there is a difference between AC and non-AC services, which I already understand. My concern is that I booked and paid for a specific service, and the change was made without prior notification. I am extremely disappointed with both the handling of the booking issue and the behavior of the customer service representative. I request AbhiBus to investigate this matter, provide a proper explanation, and take appropriate action to prevent such incidents from happening to other customers. I booked 4–5 tickets from this app, and every single time the tickets were only partially confirmed. For example, if I booked 2 tickets, only 1 would get confirmed while the other remained on the waiting list. The worst part is that you never get a proper refund for the extra “travel guarantee” charges. The biggest scam is their so-called “alternative travel plan.” While booking, they ask you to pay extra for this plan, claiming they will help if your ticket does not confirm. But in reality, it’s completely useless and feels like fraud. Here’s how they trap customers: • You pay extra for the 3X travel plan. • Your ticket stays on waiting for days. • One day before the journey, after chart preparation, they finally tell you the ticket is not confirmed. • Instead of giving proper compensation, they only return the ticket amount and provide coupons. The coupons are another scam: • They can only be used before 7 days of chart preparation. • At that time, there are hardly any available trains from the station. • If tickets are available, they are usually waiting list tickets again. • If you book using the coupon and the ticket does not confirm, the coupon amount is wasted. This happened to me multiple times, not just once. I booked 3–4 tickets and faced the same issue every time. Thank you. ### 1/5 — Worst Travel Booking Experience Ever – Misleading & Untrustworthy App *2026-05-26* Absolutely terrible experience with ixigo. This app is completely unreliable and feels designed to confuse users with misleading information and unnecessary extra charges. I booked tickets trusting their promises, but instead I faced stress, poor service, and wasted money. Their so-called “guarantee” and waitlist features are highly misleading and not properly explained before payment. Customer support is one of the worst I have ever experienced. Getting a real response is nearly impossible, and when they finally reply, they give copy-paste answers without solving anything. Refund process is painfully slow, and the app keeps pushing paid add-ons that are not actually useful when problems happen. This app ruined my travel planning experience completely. I strongly regret using it and will never trust this platform again. There are far better and more transparent booking apps available.
