Why? Because it works. Or should I say, WORKED. Now, it keeps relentlessly hassling me to subscribe. The problems here? 1. I’ve already paid for the premium version, so GO AWAY. 2. I don’t WANT to subscribe - I wouldn’t use that functionality. 3. There is no option to turn the relentless subscription prompt pop-ups off. Selected forgot password, app said an email was sent to reset. 10 minutes, and 3 requests later, still no password reset email. Decided to send them feedback from within the app about the issue. Typed it all up and the message wouldn’t send. Find another alternative. But I found it did not record for repeat income and expense when I try to make the record by using the repeat function. Once u buy, u still get a popup to subscribe to their cloud sync and app is still unavailable to u until u subscribe. Beware ### 1/5 — Glitchy *2025-03-27* All was going well and a good app. But once you hit a certain amount of transactions it becomes glitchy and struggles to cope. Forcing close when trying to set up future transfers. Sad. Will have to find another app to spend hours putting all my data in again! ### 1/5 — Scam *2024-09-22* I bought the £4.99 unlimited receipts (they don't tell you about that until you have put in 2000 receipts) and the next time I open the app it asks me to buy it again. And then throws an error message at you. The misaligned column issue has not been fixed, so when I download a CSV, the currency is in the amount section, the vendor is in the other section, the description is in another section - you get the idea. 🐜 🕷 🐛 << these are all the bugs marching out of iXpenseIt the app in protest, you try to cover it up by saying “App updates” and “bug fixes” - but we all know the truth.: Even the bugs don’t want to live in ixpenseit anymore, because it’s become such a confusing place to be. So sad, man 😔 2021 review: I have just spent hours repairing a CSV download. • Missing data - including amounts which meant I had to trawl through bank accounts, looking for the original where I had already entered them • data in the wrong columns I now cannot trust this app anymore Sometimes my accounts no longer balance and I can’t work out why: they’re probably disappearing A sad and disappointing end to a very long term relationship Gone from a 5 star app to a 1 star 😞 ### 1/5 — Unable to download excel format *2022-12-08, version 9.9.7* I’m unable to download excel format after updated to 9.9.7 version. Please get it fixed. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Good Luck if You Have Any Problems *2022-04-04* I downloaded this app and paid to upgrade to Pro so I could sync with my husband. Three months in and I can’t get it to sync or send an email for support. There’s also no fix presented in the FAQ or in forums. Email goes to some sketchy company and the auto reply addresses another app. ### 1/5 — Paid for upgrade, lost all data, poor customer service *2022-03-09* Was upgrading phones and wanted to ensure I did not lose any data from several years of using the lite version. Upgraded to Pro and subscribed for the synch subscription. Was charged for both. Nothing transferred to the new phone when I logged in but was still available on my old phone. When I contacted the support team I was told to “airdrop” the information which resulted in all receipts that had been saved being lost. Ended up being charged for an upgrade and synch and lost several years of data. The iXpenseIt team took no responsibility for charges and told me to “take it up with the Apple”. After multiple back and forths trying to understand where the data had gone and being promised a technician would call iXpenseIt simply stopped responding. The lite version was fine for basic expense recordings but the app had multiple bugs and the reports were useless. The one thing that was handy was the ability to scan and record receipts but in order to save this you need to subscribe. This would be fine if that actually was the case, but their support seem to have no idea where this data is. Do not rely on this for anything important and don’t expect any help once they have your money. ### 1/5 — Paid for multi device sync that doesn’t work *2021-06-03, version 9.7.7* I’ve just paid a full year for sync and now my family cannot even see it. Please fix it ### 1/5 — Back up issues + amateurish *2020-01-29* STAY AWAY until critical functions works properly... STAY AWAY if you plan to use the receipt function since the app does not resize pictures (1.3G per year for me since i use it everyday) STAY AWAY if you plan to backup/restore from iCloud Cannot restore from itunes either The app could add a process to cut the picture size by at least 60%. The restoration function does not work properly. There is no restore function within the application which would probably work better. Lots of cosmetics to improve and which i submitted but so far were not taken into consideration. Online manual quality is very poor.
