The reason was due to a recent update on 11-aug-26 - that won’t allow room names to contain an exclamation mark (like Daddy’s room). I had to edit those room names on the control panel, delete and reinstall the apps on my iPad and phone. Then when I opened them, all was fine. The developers need to fix this bug, so others don’t have to share the pain. ### 3/5 — I zone home *2026-08-10, version 3.1.8* This is ok but it’s very slow when changing configuration of rooms you can only do I toon at a time ### 2/5 — Limited functionality *2026-08-02, version 3.1.8* Would be great if the air conditioner could be programmed to be turned on as well as off. Currently the app only has a sleep setting for switching it off. I would like to be able schedule it to turn the heat on in the mornings so it’s not so cold getting up. Unfortunately this isn’t possible in the app. ### 3/5 — Extremely Slow App Responses *2026-08-01, version 3.1.8* The App features are great. User friendly and useful automation options. But sorry to say the App feedback through the gateway connection within the house wifi is extremely laggy and often takes 30 seconds to a minute to register adjustments being made. If user is remote and accessing through the app over the internet, the gateway connection and feedback to update will either not follow requested changes or take several minutes to act on the changes. The Gateway, and App working together needs enhancing. The above is constructive feedback to improve the very costly system. As mentioned features are great just usability through the app is agonisingly slow and often not responsive. Good luck and looking forward to updates as soon as possible. New user installed 2-3 months ago. ### 2/5 — New theme is annoying *2026-06-13, version 3.1.8* When they brought out the update a few years ago, it was really annoying but at least you could still run the old theme/version. Now, whenever you select the old version, once you leave the app it auto reverts to the new theme. The new theme doesn’t even have the same level of information as the old one, you have to turn on the aircon to get the current temperature. ### 3/5 — Setting for old UI don’t stick anymore *2026-06-11, version 3.1.8* The revised UI is so user unfriendly stuck with the old interface. Now latest update doesn’t even allow you to keep the old UI set and have to dig through menu every time you open it up. Overall app works ok but interface needs a lot of rework to make easier to use. ### 1/5 — Need old izone app *2026-01-20, version 3.1.5* Can you please put the old izone app back on the App Store? The app doesn’t connect consistently, it’s slow. We end up walking down to the panel to get the ac doing what we want. Why is it so hard to find the timer for example. And why can’t I just have the interface match the screen on the wall controller like it used to. Once you attempt to adjust the temperature, first thing, the app crashes. But sets the temperature to 15°C for some reason. The app does communicate with the controller though. Able to turn on/off the aircon unit, turn on or off zones. The app lags and stutters, you press a button and it doesn’t register. You go back 20 minutes later and ask why didn’t it turn off? Have logged out and in again to no avail. Deleted app and reinstalled at which point the measurement is correct but next day it’s not syncing again. Bring back the old version from when I bought my system! My wife had a question which was answered within 1 business day by someone local. ### 5/5 — Gr8 App Gr8 iZone help *2023-05-20, version 3.0.2* I thoroughly recommend this app & izone - AAA+. I have had a fantastic experience with 'izone help’ as well as using this app 3.0.2; contrary to some of the other reviews. Perhaps izone help desk would be a good point of contact. I have aircon, retic (12 stations), switches, video doorbell. The help desk has been totally helpful, patient and responsive for a couple of ‘seniors moments’ I have had. The previous version was great until a Western Power outage caused the retic to lose settings. The new version fixed that immediately. It took me perhaps 15min to find my way round the new User Interface but ALL of the old settings were imported and worked. Pinned all the devices & scenes to the home page to suit me, which took a little time. The new app is smooth, stable, professional and ‘just works’ all the time. Love it. Perhaps response time of refreshing is a bit slow at times. Mesh wifi has improved that slightly. The new version works beautifully on my iPhone whereas the previous version did not work at all on it. Now the iPad Pro and iPhone are in perfect sync. I have used the worldwide feature to adjust my retic while overseas and the video doorbell is great away from home. ### 5/5 — Issues/Improvements: *2021-07-17, version 2.3.2* IZone support fixed the issues and the system is running well. Sidebar navigation menu is a nice touch too. Overall a great improvement from the last. Great app. ### 4/5 — Dark icon for dark mode *2026-02-12, version 3.1.6* The app works as expected but it’s literally one of a handful of apps that still don’t support auto dark icon switching based on system settings which is odd in 2026 ### 4/5 — Still buggy and getting worse *2025-11-09, version 3.1.4* The app was somewhat functional but the most recent update has resulted in a critical bug - when setting the climate temperature for a room the system hangs and resets to 15C ### 4/5 — It's working for me *2025-07-14, version 3.1.2* Late adopter, installed iZone just a couple of weeks ago on the A/C installer’s recommendation, who attests to iZone’s excellent support and commitment to improvement. The latest update feels a lot snappier and more responsive; zone temp control, scene and recipe are working as intended by design. Coming from a background in software QC checking, and judging from the frequent app updates, all I can say is this, iZone does seem to put in effort and show commitment to continuously improving the system and app experience. That said, the cloud-to-hub speed could really use a boost, as any attempt to control or adjust settings via mobile connection is simply too slow for any solution of this era. I sincerely hope this is on the development roadmap for improvement. ### 4/5 — Good app *2020-05-22, version 1.2.0* Thankyou for allowing it to be available over the internet. I have a recommendation, sometimes I’m wondering whether I should turn the heating / cooling on say as I’m leaving work but not sure.
