## What is Jacket?

Jacket is a weather app that adapts to how you actually feel – not to what the thermometer says.

Two people standing in the same cold wind don't need the same advice. Jacket starts by asking a few quick questions about how you experience cold, heat, and rain. Then it keeps learning: once a flagged event has passed, give it a thumbs up or down, and Jacket retunes the thresholds behind what it flags. It tells you exactly what changed, in plain English – "Going forward, we'll be slightly less sensitive about rain."

What you get:

- Tuned to you: rain, cold, wind and heat get flagged at your personal thresholds, not generic ones.
- An event timeline: see the rain, snow, wind and cold coming today and tomorrow at a glance, instead of decoding hourly forecast tables.
- Plain-English summaries: one line at the top telling you what to wear or bring today – and what tomorrow needs.
- One morning brief: a single notification each morning with what to wear today. No alert spam.
- Widgets: your summary and the day's flagged events on your Home Screen, without opening the app.
- Learning you can see: every time Jacket retunes itself, it tells you what it changed.
- Learning that stays on your phone: the tuning runs entirely on your device. No account, no ads, no tracking.

How it works:

1. Set your location, or let Jacket find it.
2. Answer a few quick questions about how you experience weather.
3. Check the forecast each morning to see what's ahead.
4. Rate events once they've passed. Jacket does the rest.

Weather data comes from Open-Meteo. Your ratings never leave your device, and they're cleaned up automatically after 90 days.

It shows the day's what-to-wear advice and the weather events coming up, over a backdrop that matches the sky outside, and it quietly keeps itself current through the day – no need to open the app. Comes in a compact size for the essentials and a larger one with the full picture.

New: the morning brief – one notification each morning with what to wear today. Jacket offers it once, right after your first retune, and you can flip it on or off anytime in Settings. It plans the whole week ahead, so your brief still arrives on mornings you haven't opened the app in a while – and it quietly refreshes overnight so the advice stays current. Still the only notification Jacket sends – no alert spam.

Jacket now tells it like it feels: instead of raw numbers, forecasts read the way you'd say them — "Chilly", "Warming up a bit", "Very windy" — tuned to how you personally feel the weather. Want the degrees back? Flip on Show temperatures in Settings and pick °C or °F. Also fixed: the app reconnects properly after sitting idle, so no more false "offline" messages.
