Very frustrating that it just keeps giving me a message about loading, but it never loads. I have to close my iPad to close out of the app because it won’t allow it to do anything. Not happy after I spent money for it. It doesn’t deserve one star but it will not allow a no star rating. ### 5/5 — It’s a Free Game *2025-11-18* I had JL cards sent to me a few times and decided to become a member. I noticed the free cottage game and downloaded it on my computer and phone. It’s so beautiful and cute. I was shocked by all the reviews complaining about it. For starters… it’s free for everyone and the idea is brilliant. You’re supposed to retreat into your cottage as a break from the world. Sit at the table, play a few games… boop your kitties, and maybe do some redecorating eventually. I love the music and soundscape options. I open the game on my computer, let the music shuffle while I work, and after getting some work done… I play a few rounds of a game or send a letter to my hubby or kids… then back to work. I get that there could be more options but it’s a free game that is done beautifully. I appreciate it for what it is… having said that… if there were to be updates, I think these would be fun… having it go night based on computer time (seeing the lamps and fire at night would be awesome), the ability to interact with pets more, and indoor and outdoor holiday decorations. Anyway, I will be getting the expansion packs for more enjoyment soon.
