Jail Mail is the long awaited National prison newspaper distributed monthly to prisons across England, Wales and Ireland and accessed by over 85,000 prisoners.

The paper is run by Human Rights and Prison Law experts with an aim to provide vital news updates to all serving prisoners. We work closely with professionals and experts in and outside of the Prison Service to provide informative articles to help prisoners with all aspects of prison life.

We have regular articles each month from charities, organisations, Prison experts and prisoners themselves to not only help those inside but also to provide support for family members and friends in the community.

Whether it is your loved ones first or fifth time in prison, Jail Mail has something to offer everyone. We provide monthly A-Z guides of prison procedures, questions are answered by dedicated legal experts and we let you have your say by printing your letters each month to share your experiences at this difficult time!

Admire what they are doing but it’s not great. My programme freezes after buying 2issues. I want.Ed to send them to a prison. Now not sure if they even do that. In the end I had to delete app & reinstall it. When I installed it the 2 magazines I bought were gone. Not terribly impressed. I give it 3 stars for the sentiment of what they are doing.

An excellent read, being both informative and interesting. Legal issues covered but also a bit of fun and a good insight into the real issues of prison life.  A great read for anyone connected to prisons or not!

A very well written, presented and informative publication presenting news and topical information in addition to user friendly guides and aid memoirs dealing with different aspects of prison/MOJ decision making.  The paper strikes a balance between the serious and not so serious and is a great all round read. A must own for anyone associated by whatever link to prison life.
