## What is Jake School Horror?

At midnight in Blackwood Boarding School, the rules begin.
You are Jake, a seventeen-year-old senior at one of the country's most prestigious — and most dangerous — boarding schools. Tonight, you wake to a bell tolling at hours it should not. The dorm hallway is empty. Your roommate is gone. And somewhere in this building, the rules are watching to see if you obey.
Read every rule. Choose carefully. Die spectacularly.
— GAME OVERVIEW —
Jake's Boarding School Rules is a single-player branching narrative horror game. Across six chapters and thirty levels, you guide Jake through the night by making one choice per scene. Each choice plays out as a short cinematic transition — over 90 hand-crafted sequences, each with its own visual style and atmospheric soundscape.
At every level, two choices keep you alive. One ends in death. The rules are your only guide.
— CORE FEATURES —
• 30 levels across 6 chapters: Dorm, Library, Laboratory, Basement, Bell Tower, Finale
• 216 unique branching scenes, each with a dedicated cinematic
• 33 distinct death endings to discover and collect
• 3 main endings: Guardian, Truth, and Perfect
• Hardcore rogue-like rule: death resets you to Level 1 — no checkpoints, no mercy
• Bilingual: full text and UI in Simplified Chinese and English, switch any time
• Portrait-only mobile design — play one-handed
• Built natively for iOS with SwiftUI
— THE PROGRESSION —
Levels 1 through 4 are free. Learn the rules of the dorm, decode the warnings of Dr. Brown, study the symbols carved into the walls. Get a feel for how the rules work — and what happens when you ignore them.
A single one-time purchase unlocks the rest of the story: Library, Laboratory, Basement, Bell Tower, and the final chapter, where every death you have suffered finally tells you the truth about the school.
— COLLECT EVERY ENDING —
The home screen tracks every death you have unlocked. There are 33 in total, each tied to a specific rule you broke, a specific corner you turned, a specific moment of curiosity that cost you. Some are obvious. Some only reveal themselves when you have already paid the price.
Three main endings await those who survive to dawn:
• Guardian — accept your role
• Truth — uncover the school's secret
• Perfect — defy the curse
— CONTENT NOTICE —
Rated 17+ for horror themes, depictions of death, and psychological dread. No explicit gore. The horror is atmospheric, suggestive, and unrelenting. The game contains no real-money gambling, no advertising, no third-party tracking, and no online features beyond In-App Purchase verification.
Some cinematic sequences in this app were generated using AI tools and curated by hand for tone, pacing, and consistency.
— LANGUAGES —
• 简体中文 (Simplified Chinese)
• English
— PRIVACY —

The bell will toll again at midnight. Are you ready to read the rules?

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-06-17

Added an opening cinematic that sets the mood before
your first descent into Blackwood — a 10-second
atmospheric prologue with the distant tolling of the
school bell, leading into a five-screen narrative
introduction.
Polished the in-game interface: removed the developer
scene labels from the top-right corner so the screen
stays in atmosphere.

### 1.0 — 2026-05-19

No release notes.
