## What is Jaktli?

Jaktli brings everything your hunting team needs into one app. Live hunt tracking, dog tracking, team chat, calendar, tactical map, trail cameras, documents, and more. Use it on iPhone, iPad, or in your browser at jaktli.se. One app, one team, full control.

LIVE HUNT TRACKING

Share your position with the team during a hunt. See teammates on the map in real time. Wind and scent cone based on your compass. No-shoot zones and distance rings to keep the hunt safe. Mark observations as you spot, wound, or down game. Pick a GPS mode to fit the day: automatic, fixed interval, or battery saver. Replay the whole hunt afterwards from start to finish, with a hunt log and statistics per session.

DOG TRACKING (BETA)

Connect your Garmin dog collar to Jaktli with a guided setup. A Garmin watch running the Jaktli watch app reads the collar and relays the dog's position to your phone. See the dog on the team map during the hunt, with trail, distance, and bearing. Navigate to the dog when you need to, and read how far the dog ran in the hunt log afterwards. The watch app also shows a dog radar right on your wrist. Verified with the Garmin Alpha.

TEAM CHAT

A chat room for the whole team and a separate thread for every hunt event. Send text and photos, reply to a message, edit, delete. @mention teammates. Push notifications and inline previews. Per-event chats are folded by month so the list stays clean.

CALENDAR & PLANNING

Plan team hunts, solo hunts, and protective hunts with start and end times. Participant tracking shows who's attending. iCal subscription syncs the team calendar with your own. Mark blocked periods so the calendar enforces them automatically. Weekly and monthly views.

TACTICAL MAP

Interactive map with markers for stands, towers, hunting cabins, shooting lanes, game crops, salt stones, burrows, and many more. Place free-text labels straight on the map. Draw hunting areas, sub-areas, and zones. Lines for streams, paths, and edges with type-based colors. Navigate to a marker or observation with a heading arrow and live distance, or open the spot in your regular maps app. Import GPX files from your GPS device. Filter and search by marker type. Everyone on the team can add and edit map features.

TRAIL CAMERAS

Automatic image ingest via email from your trail cameras. Zoomable full-screen viewer with horizontal pager. Link each camera to a marker on the map. Edit camera names in the app.

MEMBER PROFILES

Member profile pages with photo, dogs, and weapons. Tap a participant in an event to see their profile.

NOTICE BOARD, DOCUMENTS, TASKS

Pin announcements with up to three attachments per notice. Upload team documents (rules, permits, maps) stored securely in the EU and organize them in folders. Create tasks for the team and link them to markers on the map. Filter and follow up.

PHOTOS, CONTACTS, EXPENSES

Batch photo upload and shared team gallery. Categorized contact list (vet, police, landowners, dog handlers). Expense tracking with receipts, paid-by, paid-out, and monthly breakdown.

WEATHER

7-day weather forecast based on your team's hunting ground. SMHI data in Sweden, Open-Meteo elsewhere. Weather icons in the calendar for planned hunts. Wind overlay directly on the map.

ROLES AND NOTIFICATIONS

Secretary, team lead, member, guest hunter, dog handler, landowner, tracking specialist, and more. Each role has the right level of access. Invite new members by email. Push and email notifications you control per category.

BUILT IN SWEDEN

Swedish development. Available in Swedish and English. 100% EU infrastructure. Your data stays in Europe. GDPR compliant.

SIMPLE PRICING

90-day free trial at no cost. No credit card required to get started. After that, 150 kr per team member per year (single annual invoice). All features included. No hidden fees. Pay with Swish or card.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.12 — 2026-08-31

Version 1.12:

Hunting rules for your county. A new home screen tile shows which species may be hunted today on your ground, which open soon and which are closed, with the dates for your county. County board decisions on licensed hunting show for bear, wolf and other species, protective hunting has its own group, and the team can close species or shorten seasons on its own ground. The calendar marks days when a season opens or closes.

Call, text or save to your phone.

A contact's or a team member's page now has a call button and a text message button. The app asks before dialing, so you never call by mistake. Tap Save to phone contacts to get a filled-in contact card with name, number and email, ready to save in your phone's own address book. When you import a contact from your phone you can now pick which number and email to keep, or skip a field.

Say no to a hunt. Every invitation in the calendar now has a Can't attend button, and you can change your answer later. The hunt leader sees who is coming and who is not.

Your dogs on the team map. The separate My Dogs map is gone; your dogs now show on the team map all the time, even when no hunt is running. At the bottom there is a small tab with the number of dogs. Tap it to unfold a strip with distance, direction, status and battery for each dog. Hold a dog in the strip, or tap Follow on a dog's or hunter's card, and the map follows them. Tap a dog in the hunt sheet and the map moves there.

Add to the map during the hunt. Stands, areas, lines and text can now be added while a live hunt is running, just like on the web.

More in the harvest log. Each animal can have a photo and a shot location. An animal from a live hunt inherits the photo and position from the hunt, and you can open the spot on the team map.

Guest hunters. The Guest hunter role is now a free role that takes no paid seat. A guest hunter sees the team map, the hunts they are invited to and those chats, nothing else. When all seats are in use you can still invite guest hunters.

Trail cameras: the camera's description can be edited straight from the camera page, and sharing from Molnus works without an extra confirmation step.

Garmin dog tracking (beta): collars now show outside a hunt, the app listens to every paired watch, collar names come from the Alpha handheld, the tracker page shows the watch app version, and the collar's battery shows on the status line.

### 1.11 — 2026-08-11

Version 1.11:

Invite the whole team with one code.

Your team now has its own invite code with a QR code. Show it to a new member, who scans or types the code and joins the team right away. No email needed. The code lives on the team page, and an administrator can rotate or disable it at any time.

Make the home screen your own. Press and hold a tile to move it, and hide the ones you don't use. The order is saved on your account and follows you to all your devices.

Tidy up the hunt log. Old hunts can be archived; they still count in statistics but stay out of the way. A false start can be deleted entirely and then disappears from statistics too. Both archiving and deleting can be undone.

The map got more personal. Pick your own color, fill and line thickness for the team's areas; only you see your style. A stand or tower that is out of use can be marked inactive instead of deleted, so its position and history remain.

The My Dogs map now shows a card for each dog, with distance, direction, status and battery. The card stays at the bottom of the map, so you see how far away the dog is and which way to go without tapping anything. You also see how fresh the position is. Tap the card and the map moves to the dog.

When answering a hunt invitation in the calendar you can attach a short note, for example "arriving after lunch". The note shows in the participant list.

In the harvest log the shooter no longer has to be a team member. Pick a guest hunter from your contacts or type a name freely.

Import maps from more sources: Easyhunt files, plus GeoJSON and KML from other map programs.

Photos from your trail cameras and the team gallery load faster, and camera photos are sorted by when they were taken, not when they reached the app. Dates across the app are now shown in year-month-day format (for example 2026-07-23).

Plus smaller fixes and improvements.

### 1.10 — 2026-07-23

Version 1.10:

See the terrain for what it is.

The map now has elevation data for all of Sweden. Turn on hillshading and hills, valleys, and ravines stand out right in the map. From a tower or stand you can show the area that is actually visible from there, and drag the point to try a new placement. There is also a line-of-sight tool that shows whether the view is clear between two points, and an overview of the team's combined coverage from all towers and stands.

You can now show property boundaries on the map, with property designations from Lantmäteriet. Turn them on in the map's layer menu.

The dog map has grown. Under My Dogs there is now a map of your own where you see your dogs even when no hunt is running. During the hunt, the tracker overview shows the dog's photo and breed, and whether the dog is moving, standing still, or has treed.

After the hunt, whoever led it can write a short hunt report that is saved in the hunt log, so everyone can read how the day went.

The whole team is now notified when a trail camera sends in a new photo. If you'd rather not get it, turn off Game cameras under notifications in your profile.

Team leads and secretaries can set a fixed spot for the weather forecast in team settings, instead of the app working out the centre of the team map.

The terrain map is now the default background, and the map filter remembers your choices.

Plus smaller fixes and improvements.

### 1.9 — 2026-07-10

Version 1.9:

You can now see your dog on the map.

Jaktli now supports dog trackers. Connect your Garmin collar through a guided setup, and the dog shows up on the team map during the hunt, with trail, distance, and bearing. You can navigate to the dog, see who is handling which dog in the participant list, and read how far the dog ran in the hunt log afterwards. There is also a new Jaktli app for Garmin watches with a dog radar right on your wrist. The feature is in beta, verified with the Garmin Alpha.

New GPS modes save battery during hunts. Choose automatic, fixed interval, or battery saver. Teammates can see how often your position updates.

The map has eight new marker types with their own icons: hunting cabin, ground blind, shooting lane, barrier, game water, game crop, trap, and dressing site. You can also place free-text labels straight on the map.

You can now navigate to a marker or observation. An arrow shows the heading and the distance counts down until you arrive. You can also open the spot in your regular maps app for turn-by-turn directions.

Everyone on the team can now add and edit markers, areas, and lines on the map.

Team documents can be organized in folders.

Plus smaller fixes and improvements.

### 1.8 — 2026-07-01

Version 1.8:

This update is all about the map.

You can now choose which observations show on the map. Filter by category so you only see the markers you care about, and each filter shows the category's own icon.

The map stays clearer when you zoom out. Observation markers fold into small dots and hunting-area borders collapse to a single marker, so the map never gets crowded.

When you open a hunting area, you now see its size.

There is a new colour terrain map from Lantmäteriet. Pick it from the map's layer menu, alongside the toned-down version.

You can now delete a trail camera image you don't want to keep.

Plus a clearer map layer button and smaller fixes.
