### 4/5 — Couple needed additions

*2026-03-07, version 1.16.10*

Just downloaded. So far so good. Please include star or coins for tracking rewards for our kids who complete their chores! Also, really need dinner planning feature

### 5/5 — best calendar/family app i’ve used

*2026-01-05, version 1.15.4*

I am not a mom, and single, but this app has been everything I have looked for. i have autism/ADHD and aging parents and find it way easier to navigate than most calendar apps, the color coding of family members tasks and appointments is super helpful for me to really be able to see what’s going on. My family doesn’t use it but just for how it helps me alone it’s worth the yearly price for me. So grateful for this app!

### 3/5 — Good but missing a key feature

*2025-12-17*

Overall a good experience of an app. We use it to load external calendars in one location pulling from group spot and Teamsnap. A few additions needed: 1) Being able to add the name of the person whose event it is. Currently the only differentiator on mobile, from the day view is the color. A name would be better so at quick glance it’s clearer. 2) gotta be able click on location in app and activate the map feature in phone. This is available nearly everywhere else - huge missing element. These 2 elements knock it down to 3 stars. If corrected happy to boost rating. As of now feels too expensive.

**Developer response:** Great news — the exact feature you asked for is here! Events now have clickable links, so tapping an address in the location field opens it right in your phone's maps. You can also assign events to specific family members so it's clear at a glance whose event it is. We'd love for you to give it another look — thank you for pushing us to make Jam better! 💜

### 5/5 — Expedient

*2025-12-16, version 1.15.4*

Easy to access and reference

### 5/5 — A lifesaver for our family!

*2025-12-13, version 1.15.4*

This app is exactly what we needed to organize our family calendars. It’s easy to keep track of school events and parties, and especially helpful when we have changing pickup and drop offs and temporary caregivers. Each adult has an account, and the different privacy settings are perfect. I esp love the email-to-calendar feature for easy importing!

### 4/5 — Search Function

*2025-11-22, version 1.15.1*

Our whole family is using Jam and we love it! In a household with two teens with busy schedules, Jam keeps us all connected and aware of each other’s schedules! That’s huge!
The only thing that would make Jam perfect is a search function within the calendar. This the 4 star review.
Thank you, Jam for helping our busy family organized!

### 5/5 — Great calendar

*2025-11-21, version 1.15.1*

The calendar has worked for every scenario our family has needed. It’s easy to organize, easy to add other calendars like the soccer team calendar. Our family uses this on a daily basis.

### 3/5 — CC required

*2025-10-16, version 1.10.7*

The app doesn’t allow the free trial to be handled through the App Store; you have to provide your credit card details to even try the app. That’s not ideal. It appears that cancellation cancellation is also done through the app; I’d much prefer the security of Apple handling the subscription. That said, I’ll revise my review once I’ve had a chance to assess the app itself.

### 4/5 — Things to add for an update

*2025-10-07, version 1.10.7*

National holidays are not automatically in the app and no able to set repeat to monthly on 2nd Tuesday or yearly on 3rd Thursday as an example. Otherwise great app. But please look into these things for future updates

### 4/5 — Would love to see some additions, considering the price

*2025-08-26*

Love this app so far! I do think the “who’s driving” function would benefit from an option to select the time you leave, or have the option to select more than 60 min. I also think a family recipe section could lighten the mental load of figuring out what to cook after a long day/week/etc. I also would love the option to set multiple reminders for tasks, just like events. If I’m paying a subscription for this app, these additional features would help me to be less on the fence about keeping the app long term. Otherwise, love the concept, layout, and app as a whole!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! Our team is always working on new features, and hearing what would make Jam even more valuable really helps. We’re glad you’re enjoying the app so far! 💜

### 5/5 — Incredibly helpful (and beautiful)

*2025-08-19, version 1.8.6*

Jam has been a life saver! The design is so beautiful and functional too!!

### 5/5 — Best Calendar App for Us

*2025-08-16*

I was looking for an app to help manage my HS and MS aged kids' schedules, drop-offs, to-do lists. Jam is the best I've found and affordably priced. One feature I would like to see in the future is the ability to make isolated events private, so everyone can see that something is scheduled, but only the owner(s) can see the details. If that's already available, someone please point me in the right direction! Otherwise, I'm a happy customer and we'll be with Jam for a while.

**Developer response:** We are so glad to hear Jam is helping your family stay organized. Right now Jam does not have a way to make event details private while still showing the event on the family calendar. We know how helpful this would be, and our team is exploring options for future updates. Thank you for sharing your idea with us. 💜

### 5/5 — Five stars isn’t enough

*2025-07-15*

After you try this application, it is clear that deciding between Jam and any other family organization platform is a no-brainer (I’ve looked into several). The app is not only beautiful, it is also extremely functional. It makes it so easy to share information, including but not limited to calendar events, lists, and tasks across the whole family. It's just a breeze. It is affordable, the support is great, and I'm very excited to see what they'll come up with to make it even better.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback. We are so happy to hear that Jam has been both easy and helpful for your family. It means a lot to know you are enjoying the design, the features, and the support. We are excited to keep making Jam even better for you. 💜

### 3/5 — Interesting, hopeful features will be added

*2025-07-05, version 1.7.6*

I love being able to import external sporting calendars and designate to a specific child - INNOVATIVE! Hoping more features are added, like adding an end-date to re-occurring to-do’s.

### 3/5 — I want to love this app, but it needs a few things

*2025-05-25, version 1.6.3*

This app could easily become my favourite, I love the layout, the todo integration and reminders, the lists. But I can’t work with my week starting on a Sunday. I really need it to get the setting all other apps get where you can choose your starting date.

Scrolling through months is also SUPER slow and buggy, it’s almost like it’s buffering every time you swipe left or right, and then the app crashed (iPhone 15pro)

At almost $20 a month Australian I think you have a way to go, it’s not worth that. Familywall is free to do what this app does or 1/3 of the cost for heaps of functionality (some great, some I will never use). Maple works like this app, cheaper, more functions, again would choose Jam if cheaper and smoother.

Come on, premium price for an app that still feels like it’s ironing out issues.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Avoid App

*2026-05-01*

Reading the terms in conditions, it mentions to cancel using the following link with nothing attached. Cannot cancel within the app itself.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for flagging this — we recently identified and fixed an issue where the Manage Subscription option was not displaying correctly for some free trial international users.

You now should be able to manage your subscription within the app under Manage Account → Manage Subscription.

This is fixed for all users and and we’ve updated the Terms link as well. We really appreciate you bringing this to our attention!

### 1/5 — Subscription Required

*2025-09-14, version 1.10.3*

You can’t use this app without starting free trial which will turn into a paid subscription after it’s over. Even if I would have loved it once I tried the free trial, plenty of other apps have free access. No wonder this app only has 80 reviews. If you want people to use it you should have a free version with ads or something. Disappointed and wasted my time.

### 1/5 — Expensive for commoditized functionality

*2025-05-16, version 1.6.1*

$100 a year to sync a calendar. Impossible to delete your data. Nonstop spam.

### 1/5 — Would be cool if it was free

*2024-11-13, version 1.2.11*

Paying for a calendar/reminder app is literally insane would give 0 stars if possible

### 1/5 — Calendar function issues

*2024-09-10*

I get persistent errors adding and removing reoccurring events. Removing reoccurring events seems to create orphaned schedules that don’t delete. After removing events it sometimes fails to
Log in. It auto renewed my subscription…. Too late… I paid for a year … dang!!! Avoid this app until they get those most basic bugs fixed…

**Developer response:** Hello, we're sorry to hear that you had difficulty with Jam. We've made many changes and updates to the app since you've left this review, so if you ever want to give Jam another try, we're here!

### 1/5 — Avoid the shady billing strategy…

*2024-08-24, version 1.1.6*

Another auto renew only subscription trap. Solid apps don’t use this strategy.

### 1/5 — Expensive

*2024-04-16, version 1.0.251*

They don’t tell you before you download this that you have to pay $7.99 for an individual plan, and $59.99 for a family plan.

### 2/5 — Would be great except…

*2025-07-07, version 1.7.6*

My family and I live off our calendar and having the ability to be organized to the T is super important for work and family life. I really like the way Jams Family Calendar is set up, the two major downfalls are not being able to color code each event individually and by person as well as the way some emojis look when adding to the title, they look very different. If this two things either get added/updated I would 100% use it.

### 3/5 — Amazing but slow

*2026-08-03, version 1.19.4*

I love this app it’s everything I need. But it’s slow and glitchy. I was unable to scroll through to January to add something to my calendar. The app couldn’t load fast enough and kept closing. I thinks it’s having trouble with all my to do lists. These really don’t need to be on the calendar. Undecided if I will keep this. A bit pricey for being so glitchy, but it has everything I need. It’s been amazing to help the whole family stay on top of chores and school work.

### 3/5 — Got potential

*2026-05-06*

I really love the idea behind JAM—it has a clean, modern design, and the integration with external calendars is really promising. However, there are some big drawbacks. First, when you sync with Apple Calendar, there’s no way to assign different colors to each calendar, making multiple schedules really hard to keep straight. Plus, it doesn’t offer an auto-sync option—so you can’t set it to refresh every few minutes, meaning you have to manually update it. On top of that, the 30-day calendar view looks really rough—it would be so much better if they used Apple’s style for that view, which is much cleaner. If JAM could fix these design and sync issues, it would really be a standout app—but for now, it’s too limited.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback! Quick note that may help: your calendars do auto-sync about hourly, and you can manually refresh anytime from the Filters menu. Also, we have recently updated and improved our monthly view and are excited to share that more color options are on our list for future improvements!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This one’s a keeper

*2026-08-08*

After trying multiple other family calendar apps, keeping up with team calendars, work calendars and multiple Gmail calendars, I was skeptical that this would be another calendar that didn’t last a week.

This calendar streamlined everything without over complicating things. It allows you to import multiple calendars from various platforms, it’s simple to add things straight into the app, it has widget capabilities and the best part is how personally involved the developers are in your experience. They are easy to ask questions to and they answer them personally. If you run into any issues (I haven’t yet) they make themselves available.

Oh and did I mention the 30 day free trial. Who does that?! Not a single one of the other apps I tried. Give this app a try, you won’t regret it.

### 5/5 — Berry Good Jam!!!

*2026-08-01, version 1.19.4*

As a busy family of 5 with a live-in Au Pair, we couldn’t imagine using any other calendar system. We especially love the AI features that make the admin burned on this app so minimal.

### 5/5 — Jam is a lifesaver

*2026-07-28, version 1.19.4*

I’ve always been an avid paper planner but I am able to use jam and a paper planner together perfectly. I love having Jam accessible anywhere I go and it felt so much more user friendly than skylight. I recommend to all my mom friends!

### 5/5 — The Best Family Calendar and The Best Customer Service

*2026-07-20, version 1.19.3*

I cannot recommend Jam Family Calendar enough. I am a birth doula, birth educator, and death doula pursuing a MSPH. In addition, I am a single mom and survivor of DV. The owners have worked with me to implement this into my life and it has already helped me organize and plan the chaos better. Out of all the family apps out there, please choose this one. It is run by people that actually care.

### 5/5 — This App Is Everything

*2026-07-19, version 1.19.3*

This I’d the most comprehensive and useful app I’ve ever found for family management (and I’ve tried a LOT). This is the only one that has is ALL in one place - calendar, iCal, a daily section and a separate list section (ex. Recurring daily tasks vs. grocery list) AND the best part… customer support. I reached out with a question and received a fast helpful response, and the communication has been great. So glad to have found this system!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-06-15, version 1.17.10*

Best calendar app ever. Never thought I would get my act together but this has changed my life!

### 5/5 — Intuitive

*2026-04-11, version 1.16.20*

Intuitive and Easy. I can tell this will be helpful for general planning in a multi-gen house

### 5/5 — I love Jam!

*2026-03-14, version 1.16.10*

I’ve been using Jam Calendar for a while now and genuinely love it. The app keeps getting better with thoughtful features that actually make everyday life easier.

The new ability to add events using voice or even images is fantastic - it’s quick and surprisingly accurate. But the feature I use the most is forwarding event emails directly into the calendar. It automatically pulls the details and creates the event for you, which saves so much time and cuts out the usual copy-paste hassle.

Another thing worth mentioning is the team behind the app. They’re incredibly easy to contact and genuinely open to feedback and feature suggestions, which makes the whole experience feel very user-focused.

Overall, Jam Calendar is simple, clever, and clearly built by people who care about making a great product. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Needs to include a meal planner

*2026-02-19, version 1.16.2*

I think the only thing that would make this more fully functioning for me is if it included a tab for meal planning.

### 5/5 — Husband and wife

*2026-01-10, version 1.15.5*

My wife and I love this thing. It syncs. It does more. Love it. Recommended, they clearly care about thier app which is a nice feeling when you’re using it and if you need support. Thank you.
