## What is JAM Legio?

Our new app is here and combines Henle vocabulary with Vulgate vocabulary. It is all created by the JAM with Latin team, Anastasia as artist, Thomas as app designer and Abigail and Alexis as curriculum builders. We have included history, review and a journey into Gaul: Currently a one time fee of $19.99 plus unlimited log ins for a limited time.

Jam with Latin turns first-year classical Latin into an adventure. Your student joins a Roman legion and marches from Rome toward Gaul, learning real vocabulary, verb endings, and short sentences at every stop. Built for homeschool and classical-education students — approachable for younger learners, faithful to the grammar teachers actually teach.

THE JOURNEY
Follow thirteen stops on the march north, from Rōma through Italy to Gallia. Each city teaches one piece of the classical curriculum:
• 1st through 5th declension nouns — one focus per city
• Present-tense verbs and the personal endings
• Adjectives, joiners (prepositions, conjunctions, adverbs), and short Latin sentences
• Camp stops to train and practice verb endings

HOW YOU LEARN
• Vocabulary cards — match Latin to English
• Case challenges — pick the correct form of a noun
• Verb-ending matching — connect each ending to its person and number
• Sentence reading — put grammar together into short Latin sentences
• Training Camp — practice words and endings any time

BUILT FOR CLASSICAL STUDENTS
• Follows the classical order: declensions → verbs → sentences
• Fits Henle, Classical Conversations, and similar first-year Latin
• Correct macrons and forms throughout
• Earn XP, climb the ranks, and see a friendly global leaderboard

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2026-10-02

Salvē! This is a big update to the march.

• Play offline — the app keeps working when the phone loses its connection, and syncs your progress when it comes back.
• Every stop opens with its own welcome, with the city's mural and what it teaches.
• Locked cities now show what is waiting inside before you reach them.
• Training pays coins on every clear, and the daily XP cap is gone.
• Faster sign-in and sign-up, with a plain "check your connection" message on a slow network.
• Clearer screens throughout: no more card counters, one gold button per screen, and tidier training results.
• Many small fixes — the day picker, the journey mural, the "cupidus" gloss, and match tiles that shrank too far.

Thank you for marching with us. Tell us what you would like to see next.
