When you do get hold of the support or the owner he insults you because you want access to your money. Great concept. Terrible product. Terrible people. The ignore correspondence resulting in your money vanishing. Then you will get a promise email. The setup process was surprisingly straightforward, though it did necessitate obtaining a local Thai phone number. This meant a quick switch from my data-only eSIM to a voice and data plan, which was a minor hassle but worth it for the convenience that followed. The integration with Wise for money transfers was a seamless experience, thanks to my pre-existing account. However, I must note that the app would benefit greatly from Apple Pay integration, which would elevate the user experience even further. Despite this, topping up my JamJang wallet from Wise is nearly instantaneous, which is a huge plus. Using JamJang for QR code payments feels incredibly modern and efficient. The user interface is intuitive, making transactions with local vendors as simple as a scan. The only slight drawback is the variable time it takes to receive the payment receipt, which can range from 10 seconds to a minute. This delay, however, is minor compared to the convenience of not having to fumble with cash. From a security standpoint, I was initially hesitant about uploading personal documents like my passport and a selfie. But JamJang's process felt secure and legitimate, putting my concerns at ease. Overall, JamJang is a must-have for anyone visiting or living in Thailand who wants to avoid the bulk of carrying cash. It's efficient, modern, and despite a few minor inconveniences, it significantly enhances your daily transactions in Thailand.
