## What is Jams On Toast?

Jams On Toast is a delightful music player, hand-crafted for those who truly care about music. It is the only app that lets you manually organize your library any way you’d like.

Inspired by the record collections of yore, you can simply flip through cover art and swipe through crates to navigate and organize your library. Every interaction has been thoughtfully considered, and the design elevates the thing that matters most – your music.

There are little flourishes everywhere – like an animated turntable, which you can tap on to go to the currently playing album; or the 'Read My Mind' feature, where you can cue up the next album simply by scrolling to it, without thinking about what button to tap or managing a playback queue.

If you browse or listen to your music library primarily through albums, this is a beautiful, fast, and power-efficient replacement for the built-in Music app. If that’s not you, Jams On Toast is still a great addition to your other music apps – as a home for music you really love.

Having your music arranged alphabetically, by genre, or other such heuristics never made much sense – does AC/DC really need to be followed by Aphex Twin, or Linkin Park by Metallica? Do genre labels even mean anything today? Take control of your library, and reconnect with the music that matters the most to you. Press and hold any album to move it anywhere in your record collection. Press and hold with two fingers to rearrange sections.

Jams On Toast has been built for the fan who listens to albums cover to cover, and appreciates great artwork (almost!) as much as the music. Or the listener who wants a fresh, distraction-free music experience, instead of being overwhelmed by the built-in app. Or the collector who would rather organize their library in a way that’s meaningful to them, instead of scrolling through an endless, alphabetized list.

### 5/5 — Needs another fix as well

*2026-04-26*

Please bring back landscape Cover Flow with scrolling sideways weather in portrait or landscape mode please add this into the Music app. I really want to enjoy my music library properly again. Thank you. otherwise I may have to get an iPhone 6 plus/6S plus

### 5/5 — Refreshing take on a music player app

*2025-08-14, version 1.0.2*

This is an absolute gem of an app. Listening to music made enjoyable again, and with a beautiful design.
You choose an album you press play and that’s it. No shuffle, no playlists, no distractions.
Another huge positive is that you can arrange your music library yourself! You decide where which album goes, which makes finding stuff a breeze.
One very minor complaint I have: Swiping out of an album requires a very large swiping gesture, so it sometimes takes a few attempts.

Also, what to be aware of: It can only play music that you own. If you only stream music, you cannot play music on this app.

### 3/5 — Nice app but doesnt Play Musik

*2024-11-28, version 1.0.2*

Hey i habe a Problem the musik is not Playinh

### 1/5 — No way to search!

*2024-10-03*

I really wanted to like this app, but #1 when it imports everything from iTunes, it also imports the wrong album covers, which you cannot change, and #2 there is no search feature so you have to scroll through every single album you have in order to find what one you want.

### 4/5 — Just like the old days.

*2024-08-14*

Only thing is that the sound dips pretty badly between each tracks/songs. It’ll be really great if it ever gets fixed.

### 3/5 — Can't shuffle an album

*2023-01-14*

I wish you add more options for playing, add option for hiding the player inside the app while playing

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2022-09-19, version 1.0.2*

Love the idea of this app, but it doesn't work.
It imports all my albums and they are all visible, but nothing plays. Just comes up '.... is not available' on every song. Shame.

### 5/5 — Nearly Perfect

*2022-07-23, version 1.0.2*

Simple but beautiful! Thanks!!
I would like to have the Covers using the howl width of the Screen.
Also a white skinned version would be great.
When I could make the option Button disappear, it would be the perfect app for my little daughter.
Thanks!

### 4/5 — Playlists?

*2022-04-30*

I have always used playlists on iTunes and on my ancient iPod clickwheel. With newer cars I copied music to a USB stick where I created playlists for road-trips, plugged in the stick to a USB port, selected a playlist and off I go. I’ve since opted to use a recycled iPhone instead of a USB stick so I tried this app as I’m not a fan of the iTunes/Apple Music app. Your ap is fantastic if playing individual albums, but I haven’t discovered how to create playlists.

### 4/5 — Application prometteuse

*2022-03-07, version 1.0.2*

Serait-il possible d’épingler les albums préférés ?
Le nombre de lectures n’est pas synchronisé avec la bibliothèque
