### 2/5 — Cant download anything on ipad.

*2021-02-20, version 1.3.4*

Title says it all, no point having it if i cant download my mixes. Glad I didn’t spend any money on them.

### 4/5 — Affordable quality backing tracks

*2021-01-02, version 1.3.4*

High quality tracks and super affordable price!

### 4/5 — Actually quite good

*2020-07-11, version 1.3.4*

This app works fine for me - iphone8. Really good recordings that are well separated for turning each instrument on/off. Pitch and speed customisation very nice too. Not a huge library of tracks, but during ‘lockdown’ my wife and I have learnt INXS ‘never tear us apart’ and John Lennon ‘Imagine’. Really nice to play along with a full band. Only lost a star because library could be bigger.

### 2/5 — Great app but no muting

*2020-05-03, version 1.3.4*

Have loaded the app on iPad and Mac. You can control the tracks and speed and pitch on mac. Can’t see the point of downloading what they say should work. Just don’t get it !

### 3/5 — Good app, but.....

*2019-12-05, version 1.3.4*

I’m having trouble logging in, and when going on the website, it says it’s not secure.
I love using this app, but it just seems to have stopped.
HELP PLEASE!!!

### 2/5 — Horrible implementation

*2019-09-08, version 1.3.4*

I deleted it after an hour of trying to use it.
They offered a free jam track. I searched for what I wanted by song title, they showed me two tracks in the database. I selected the one I wanted, and it turns out, the song had an entirely different title. Not the song they showed me at all. Now my free jam track has been used up with a song I didn’t want.

... bye .. thanks for playing.

### 4/5 — Good quality multitracks

*2019-04-24, version 1.3.4*

Have used this for more than a year and many of the tracks are good quality price ok too. Being available as mixable or multitrack gives the ability to mute or solo individual stems, also edit when imported into the DAW. Have edited pitch etc and mixed as required. Some issues with clunky interface and support, they were quick to help before. Worth trying out.

### 3/5 — This app has so much potential!!

*2019-04-07, version 1.3.4*

Please update!!!!!!!!!!!!!

### 3/5 — Slow to load

*2019-04-06, version 1.3.4*

I like what this app offers, but it takes a really long time to load a song. Whether it’s a full song with all tracks, a partial mix, or even just one track, it takes at least two minutes to load, and I’m on 50mbps Internet.

I know two minutes doesn’t seem like a lot, but these are not (or should not be) very large files. When you’re experimenting with tracks, it’s a total drag to want to make a tweak, wait two minutes, decide you want to tweak again, wait another two minutes, etc.

I can’t bring myself to spend money any tracks unless and until this app loads songs *much* faster.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work.

*2018-08-04, version 1.3.3*

Trying to create an account crashes my iPad

### 2/5 — Problematic

*2018-07-18, version 1.3.3*

App continues to crash when trying to play mixes. It’s annoying. You will not be getting any of my money while the app continues to be unapologetically problematic.

### 3/5 — Can’t export mp3

*2018-05-02, version 1.3.0*

Cannot export custom mixes ‘anywhere’ as suggested by jamkazam.

If you try to do it on pc there will be a pop up window asking you to pay more for the ability to download your custom mix.

So beware that their description for iOS is misleading and there will be extra charges.

### 2/5 — Need to repair mix creation

*2018-04-29, version 1.3.0*

New mixes cut off the last minute or more of the track. The delete mix function doesn’t work on iPad.

### 2/5 — I want to love this app but in-app purchases are broken

*2018-03-28, version 1.2.1*

Great idea for an app. I’ll change my review to 4 stars if they fix the in app purchases for buying songs, which is literally the whole point of the app.

If they improve performance/speed of playing different track selections and fix the playback glitches/pauses when connected to some Bluetooth devices I’d give it 5 stars.

Please, please, please fix. So far no responses from support on the playback issues.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2017-12-05, version 1.2.1*

Can’t sign up on iPad, MacBook, or anything so pretty useless so far, but very good idea !

### 1/5 — Great app, no support

*2017-09-06, version 1.2.1*

I was very excited about this app and was able to create and download mp3s for the tracks I had created. I went to use the app for a second time a couple of hours before a gig and the online version of the app wasn't working. You need the online version to download mp3s. It said my password was incorrect so I tried to reset the password. It said it sent an email but it never arrived. That was 4 weeks ago. I've tried to reset the password again and I have emailed support but to date have not received any reply. For me the app is unusable if I can't download mp3s. Great app, but NO support at all.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Song has inconsistent rhythm (beats per minute). They don’t use a metronome.

*2023-01-15, version 1.3.4*

I’m trying to play Thunderstruck by AC/DC with a looper and the backing track. I set my looper’s metronome to match the BPM of the backing track, but quickly learned that the track is all over the place with its BPM. Randomly slowing and speeding throughout the song. Like they didn’t use a metronome when they made the backing track. That’s pretty sloppy. This makes it impossible to use a looper and have everything line up.

I can set my looper’s BPM perfectly with ACDC’s studio version song and play the entire song on rhythm, but good luck with this backing track.

### 1/5 — Takes your money for songs, but doesn’t deliver

*2020-10-03, version 1.3.4*

I love what this app can do. But I paid for songs, and they don’t show in the app. Emailed the developer and have heard nothing.

Avoid this app.

### 1/5 — Faulty - Beware!

*2020-07-31, version 1.3.4*

I bought several Full Mix Jamtracks through this App - so Apple Store - cost £1.99 each. I thought it was a bargain because they cost $2.99 in JamKazam and a genuine rate of exchange. The trouble was that of the Apple Store tracks I bought, none were recognised by JamKazam and I had to pay another $1 on top of that through JamKazam to make them work. Naturally, JamKazam being a USA store, they can only count in Dollars so to them, you need to pay 2.99 in some (whatever) currency to make their tracks valid for use. So I ended up, through the Apple Store, having to pay more than I would have done if I’d bought them direct from JamKazam. One track I bought through Apple has not been recognised at all as JamKazam “could not contact the Apple Store”. Otherwise, quite good quality - but some are far better than others so do try them before you buy.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother!

*2020-02-25, version 1.3.4*

The app itself is quite good, but I’ve tried to buy tracks and although they take your money... you STILL don’t get access to the tracks!
I emailed support who told me that I would receive the track I bought. It never happened! Since then I have emailed 3 more times including screen shots showing I don’t have access to the tracks and have been ignored!!
Save your money, use an app that actually delivers!!!

### 1/5 — Great idea. Doesn't work.

*2019-12-11, version 1.3.4*

I can select and deselect tracks as desired and then click "Create Mix", but nothing happens. It only plays the full mix, which defeats the whole purpose of the app. The developer web site is deemed unsafe by my browser. Developer did not respond via email. This appears to be a defunct app that is no longer supported.

### 1/5 — No Longer Supported?

*2019-11-21, version 1.3.4*

Constant server time outs and can’t get the free song to go through. Maybe the dev has ghosted the app. Going to look for another option.

### 1/5 — Sign up??

*2019-07-30, version 1.3.4*

You can’t sign up to Jamkazam using this app nor using the mobile web portal because the pop-downs in the application form don’t work on a mobile device (iPhone in my case)!

Sad

### 1/5 — How Did This Get Released?

*2019-04-07, version 1.3.4*

Says it all…

### 1/5 — Can’t register :(

*2019-04-06, version 1.3.4*

Wanted to purchase some tracks but can’t even register to do so. Needs an update or something

### 1/5 — Could not even register

*2019-01-05, version 1.3.4*

I guess this app hasn’t been updated because i cannot even register. I was super excited about this because I sing and play flute and it would so cool to have karaoke tracks where I can mute both vocals and flute. But as I said, it freezes at the captcha

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great

*2024-08-14, version 1.3.4*

The app works great they just need to put in more songs

### 5/5 — Good app

*2020-07-20, version 1.3.4*

No trouble logging in
Just fancied leaving a review

### 5/5 — Works great

*2020-01-17, version 1.3.4*

Great app.

### 5/5 — A god-send to drummers!!

*2018-04-07, version 1.2.1*

This app has been really useful for all our band - guitarists, our bassist and vocalist but as a drummer it’s fantastic! I can work with just the bassist to lockdown grooves or with a guitar part to get to grips with chops. Then I can get into ‘performance mode’ and play along with the whole band.
A wider range of tracks would be great, of course, but for now I really recommend it - 1000x better than all this YouTube vids!!

### 5/5 — Perfect practice tool!

*2017-04-02, version 1.2.1*

I've been a musician for over 20 years. And I've seen practice tools come and go over the years. This is something I wished I would've had when I was a teenager! Wow - "Jamtracks" is a Fantastic practice and performance tool.
In the 90's I got my first pro gig traveling in a "top 40 rock" band. I had to learn new songs every week to keep my agent happy and stay employed. It got easier to learn songs efficiently because I always practiced with the band. A real challenge came when I started doing session work that required me mastering my part without ever meeting a musician prior to a recording session. When I got called in to the studio to play my part, man I had to know it cold- note for note; without ever having group practice time. Talk about stress! That was incredibly difficult to do because I didn't have context; hearing the baseline or the drums to keep me in the "pocket" and 'stay on the 1.'
So this is where "Jamtracks" saves the day - Im now practicing with the group and hearing the precise mix I want to hear. I've got real context! Plus, for practice-time I can isolate my instrument and hear the precise notes and syncopation that I need to play.
I've had this app for barely 3 months so I haven't put it fully to the test. I will put in another entry once I use it in another scenarios. But as far as it goes for now – "JamTracks" is awesome! Give the app a try - it will not disappoint. Oh yeah – to the parents of teenage musicians: if you've got a bunch of teenagers clanking around in your garage; upsetting you and the neighbors - this app is your answer. Put that garage band in somebody Else's garage and have your kid use headphones with "Jamtracks". Fantastic tool!

### 5/5 — Little gem

*2016-05-18, version 1.1.7*

Excellent that Bluetooth out has been added.... Definitely give it a try. Good sounding tracks..

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2016-02-22, version 1.1.2*

Audio quality and song selection are great.

### 5/5 — Play-along bliss

*2016-02-22, version 1.1.2*

The Jam Tracks technology is innovative and easy to use, but the iOS app takes it to another level with its portability and simplicity. Great for spontaneous jam sessions and musicians on the go. With tons of additional content in the pipeline, I'm excited to see where this will go. Keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — GAME CHANGER

*2016-02-21, version 1.1.2*

I've been waiting for an app like this for YEARS! I'm an avid fan of classic rock and I play keys/vocals in a band. I usually just pick out parts by ear on Spotify.

On my phone this app is right next to Spotify and in front of Guitar Tab. It blows Guitar Tab Pro out of the water! The fact that you can mute QUALITY tracks as needed so you can play/practice alone is why I love this app!

Plus...you can slow down to learn difficult parts without varying pitch.

Plus...you can transpose to a key you are comfortable with vocally.

The tracks are quality enough to use for a 1 or 2 person gig (ex: mute vocals and keys for playing a cruise ship gig or local sports bar).

Here is the kicker: If they can convince the record labels and new artists to release individual tracks so we can ALL jam with the originals.. It's another way for musicians/writers to make some extra coin.

I can go on and on (which I did).... Just try it for yourself.

### 5/5 — Terrific app for musicians

*2016-02-19, version 1.1.2*

Lots of backing tracks out there, but this one is very different. The huge catalog of popular songs (vs generic styles), combined with the fact that these are full multitrack recordings is awesome. And the features to mute tracks, slow down playback for practice, and even change pitch/key puts it way over the top. Plus drop dead easy to use!
