## What is Jankify?

Jankify screws up your photos, GIFs, and videos on purpose—and somehow makes them better.

Feed it a photo, animated GIF, or short video and watch it fall apart into eight handmade looks: chunky pixels, a glowing Lite-Brite peg board, ASCII text, an emoji mosaic, ink cross-hatching, loose pen sketches, and shattered low-poly shards. Drag a few sliders, hit a button, export.

No remote model. No "enhance" button. No cloud round-trip. Every pixel is wrecked by plain, honest math running entirely on your device.

EIGHT WAYS TO BREAK A PICTURE

- Pixel: blocky pixel art with optional retro palettes and quantized color
- Lite Brite: your photo rebuilt as glowing pegs on a black board
- ASCII: any image turned into text, light to dark
- Emoji: a mosaic built from thousands of real emoji
- Hatch: tonal pen-and-ink cross-hatching
- Rough: loose, hand-drawn sketch outlines
- Polygon and Voronoi: low-poly triangle and cell shattering

EXPORT ANYTHING

Save a crisp PNG, or pull clean SVG vectors out of most modes. Pixel mode alone exports as box-shadow CSS, an SVG, an HTML table, Unicode blocks, JSON, or plain text. ASCII copies straight to your clipboard.

MAKE IT MOVE

Turn an animated GIF or video into looping pixel art, glowing pegs, ASCII, emoji, hatching, or a rough sketch. Set the duration and frame rate, then export the result as an animated GIF, a PNG sprite sheet, or processed video. Clear progress feedback stays visible while Jankify decodes, renders, and encodes each frame.

Long clips are trimmed and scaled to stay responsive. Animation timing is bounded, reduced-motion preferences are respected, and Jankify warns before producing rapid animation.
