## What is January Pro?

The most proactive approach to personalized health, anywhere. January Pro uses AI to measure and predict your body’s unique response to foods & activities, empowering you to make the best choices for your metabolic health.

Whether you’re trying to lose weight, gain energy, sleep soundly, or perform your best, your metabolic health is at the heart of it all. It’s also key to increasing your health span—that means a longer, healthier life, free from chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.

Founded by veteran business executive, Noosheen Hashemi, and Director of Genomics and Personalized Medicine at Stanford University, Dr. Michael Snyder, January is the first precision health company that combines continuous glucose monitoring along with heart rate, sleep, activity, and food tracking, to give you unprecedented visibility into the way diet and exercise affects your body.

KEY FEATURES:

Real-time glucose monitoring: Use a CGM or our proprietary “Virtual CGM,” which allows us to estimate your glucose response without a CGM, saving you the high cost and hassle of constant sensor use.

Precise predictions: Look up any food to see its projected glucose impact on your body up to two hours into the future. Also learn exactly how long you’d have to walk after eating to flatten your glucose curve.

Personalized targets: We observe your existing health habits to generate hyper-personalized daily targets that meet you where you’re at. Then, we help you track and optimize your targets over time.

360° analytics: Log your food using quick & easy Natural Language Processing, while your wearable biosensors handle your glucose and heart rate. Then, see how all the pieces fit together to impact your metabolic health.

REACH A NEW LEVEL OF HEALTH:

“I learned how to structure my eating to help my body respond better, especially increasing fiber significantly and intermittent fasting. Having the real time data to see what did and didn’t work was fantastic especially when compared to getting blood work every 6 months and having a snapshot or A1C and having no way to tell what specifically contributed to that number.” - Dan

“Not only did I discover how the foods I was eating affected my blood sugar, but I also came to see that I was most likely pre-diabetic. I changed my diet dramatically with January, ultimately adopting a keto diet and learning how activities after meals can also help level blood sugar. Ultimately I lost about 50 lbs and have dramatically changed my mood and energy levels. Very glad to have found January AI.” - Luke, 41

“January has helped me and my family with direct insight into my metabolic health. I have now dropped three points on my A1C with help from January AI. I am living so much better. My sleep and life continues to improve and know I have control over my blood sugar management.” - Angel, 51

### 3/5 — AI needs some work

*2024-05-16*

For the cost of this service, I expected quicker turnaround for the CGM coming. It took several weeks, all while I was paying a high monthly cost that I couldn’t take advantage of without the CGM data. I also paid extra for a 2nd sensor and it didn’t come (nor did the patches to stick over them) until I reached out to support. Then when I wanted to cancel my account there is no way to do so in the app. I spent too much time reading online, not finding the answer. When I asked the AI bot in the app, it told me I could delete my account in the Account Settings in the app, but there’s no option to do so. When I asked the bot again what to do if I couldn’t do that it said to go to the Help and Support knowledge base, meaning more reading and searching. Eventually I have to open a ticket to just delete my account. For a company based in AI, it doesn’t feel like it’s being used efficiently, unless hiding how to delete accounts is the aim. Otherwise, I found the food logging steps to be a little tedious at times. Not terrible, but not I did forget the extra step of logging the meal once I had added all the components of it together and had to start over. The UI could improve there. The integration with my Apple Watch was nice. I already log my fluid intake in a different app that feeds into Health, but that didn’t go from Health to January.ai.

### 1/5 — Customer Service non-existent

*2024-05-06*

Perhaps a good product but can’t tell as no help w set up. No reply from customer service. V disappointing

### 1/5 — Don’t bother to use anymore!

*2023-12-27*

Needs to synch to Lose It instead of requiring dual entry into this app, which is not great.

### 2/5 — Glucose monitor

*2023-12-19*

Prediction not correlative to measurement.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2023-12-13*

Stopped syncing with Libre on day 2 of training, so probably going to be a HUGE waste of money.

### 2/5 — Do not waste your money

*2023-11-04*

Interesting, until all the inconsistencies with the software, and the CGM started showing up. Never received the reports/recommendations that were outlined in the initial advertisement? The daily log for recording the food you consume could of been more robust - the ability to modify the existing food resources for reporting food consumption.

### 1/5 — Not reliable

*2023-09-11*

There are two apps required to track that are supposed to communicate to eachother, but the Januaryai app keeps disconnecting from the glucose monitor’s app. Constantly having to reconnect and re-sign in after a few hours of not using it. Data gets lost and not transferred. Customer service is not responding.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2023-08-09*

They never delivered a final report. Even the midterm report has disappeared and the app no longer recognizes my email. Monitoring the glucose levels day to day was interesting but I was expecting some sort of actionable suggestions at the end. The only report I saw would say things like “your sensitivity is 30.” 30 out of what? 100? 1000? Is the low number good or bad? This was a giant waste of money. There are other services that do the same thing. Avoid January

### 5/5 — Beyond helpful

*2023-06-09*

Understanding my glucose levels is a game changer

### 5/5 — Great Tracking App

*2023-05-25*

As an optimizer and being generally conscious and curious about impact of nutrition. This iteration of the app really allows me to interact with it in a meaningful way, allowing me to reach my targets and explore what else I could be doing.
