### 3/5 — I love this app!

*2022-09-04*

My husband and I do a lot of road trips and this is the best app I’ve found that will not only document the trip but will let me share it easily with family and friends. My favorite thing to do is to write a narrative at the end of each day. So many positives with this app. If there are questions or problems, the help has come quickly.

### 2/5 — How patient are you?

*2017-12-22*

This could be a great app but it is THE most poorly executed app I've ever tried to use. It is certainly not intuitive. Make a mistake in an entry and no matter what you do, you cannot correct it. You cannot alter the text, you cannot delete the destination and start again. You cannot copy and paste your text into the text box without the original 'mistake' being reinserted. The pictures are also too small. I've invested a lot of time with this app. I give up. I will use one written by professional programmers.

### 2/5 — Really annoying

*2017-09-13*

I've lost so many journal updates when flipping my iPad from landscape to portrait. So many thoughts and idea have just vanished into the ether. As for uploading photographs, it mystifies me that the app can chose to tell me that I'm not on WiFi, when I #€>#* know that I am.

I will persevere however as I've already started

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2017-07-22*

I have been looking for an app to replace travelpod. This could be handy if it did not crash every time I tried to upload photos. Has put me off it

**Developer response:** Sorry you are having problems. Please email help@jauntlet.com and we'll work to fix them.

### 3/5 — It has potential. It desperately needs an update!

*2017-05-10*

I wish they updated this app because the tools it has are pretty awesome. I love the maps and the pictures. I having seen close to this in other apps and some of them are new and stable I still prefer this one. Please update it!

**Developer response:** Thanks for using Jauntlet. It's updated several times year. If you have suggestions for new features, send them to help@jauntlet.com.

### 3/5 — Nice Travel Tool

*2014-06-08*

I've been using the on-line version for years. The app is great because it lets you add destinations without firing up the Mac and getting on line. There is more you can do on-line and I would like to see that functionality added to the app. For example, edit and delete destinations.

**Developer response:** The app has full compatibility with the website. You can edit and delete destinations. Click on the destination. Edit journal is the first button. Delete is on the bottom.

### 2/5 — Bad Blogger

*2013-11-22*

This app has some nice features, mapping and dropping pins "spikes" on the maps. However, for blogging, it's not very useful as there is no apparent way to edit anything you type once you hit the post button. So, incomplete info, typos, etc remain a permanent part of what you post. For keeping travel information about hotels, sights, restaurants, and all the other trip information that you may want to keep, add to, delete, edit......forget it.

**Developer response:** You can edit a destination by clicking on that destination and clicking the edit journal button on the top. The app is more oriented to photos, so if you want to keep track of the places you visited, you need to post photos of them. You can then tag the location and add a caption.

### 1/5 — Crash

*2015-09-09*

Crash. Crash. Crash. Terrible app for photos.

**Developer response:** Sorry you had problems. If you contact help@jauntlet.com with the errors, we'll fix them.

### 1/5 — Always crashes

*2015-07-28*

Can't upload photos without it crashing. Would be great if it actually worked.

**Developer response:** Sorry you had problems. If you contact help@jauntlet.com with the errors, we'll fix them.

### 1/5 — Not quite there yet

*2015-03-03*

Just downloaded to try. After setting up the account, I found that the UI is a bit difficult to navigate. Only play with it for 5 mins trying to understand how to create blog and destinations, the app crashed! Oh well...

**Developer response:** Sorry you had problems. You first need to create a blog, then you add destinations to it. For example the blog Euro Trip has destinations London, Paris, etc.

### 1/5 — Don't

*2014-08-21*

One of the worst and most confusing use interface I'd ever seen.

### 1/5 — Much to be desired!

*2014-06-03*

I was so hopeful about this app for documenting and sharing our trip to Europe, but it's cumbersome to use. You have to post each picture individually and if you don't post from the location that you are posting about, it doesn't post the correct location. Sometimes, I couldn't get it to post the accurate location I was in. A very frustrating app to try to use. I gave up after 2 weeks.

If the foundation of the app was more like FB, where you can enter location, comments and numerous photos at the same time, it would be a lot more user-friendly!

**Developer response:** You can upload multiple photos at one time. If you took photos with a device that stores the location of the photos, the app will use that stored location. It doesn't use your current location. In fact, the app never even accesses you location or asks for that permission.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2013-11-21*

When setting up an account it sends an email to your account to verify. When you try to press the link it goes to the log on says an error has occurred so you can't set it up.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2013-08-13*

When you sign up it says thing like error etc really silly and useless

### 1/5 — does not allow entry

*2012-02-22*

can not do anything to sign up because log in page is only thing that keeps appearing

### 1/5 — Great website, but fatal error.

*2012-02-16*

Looks like a great program, but I've signed in through Facebook, however whenever I try to log in in the app, my name and password won't work - upon "I forgot my password" I get an email that tells be my password is nothing which doesn't work in the app. Additionally, all buttons on the sign in page end up pressing "Login"

Needs work.

### 1/5 — Oh dear

*2012-02-11*

I cannot log in as it keeps on telling me I am under 13. Sounds promising though if I could start

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fun travel

*2014-12-28*

I enjoy using this app when I travel because it includes all my instagrams and let's me share my plan with friends.

**Developer response:** Thanks for using Jauntlet. Happy travels.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2014-11-14*

My mom was just saying there should be an app to keep track of your travels. I assured her there was, and then stumbled onto this gem. This app makes a great trip planner and way to share your trip with others. Easy to setup a new trip blog my iPhone but also nice to be able to log into a website to see/edit as well.

The integration with maps, calendars, photos and comments is all done really well.

I particularly like exploring other people's travel blogs that had visited my future destinations. It was also great to see what other people are seeing when they travel though my current location of the Washington, DC metro.

**Developer response:** Thanks for using Jauntlet. It's great to see your using it to explore places you want to travel.

### 5/5 — Nice Looking and Pretty Neat

*2014-10-13*

First off, the variety of ways to sign up/sign in is great. It gives you many options, that is quite nice. The design is also a plus. With this app you can blog about different locations you've been to or places you are at and it is open for all the users to see. You can also post pictures from your vacation or things like that. Another thing you can do is look at all the awesome pictures from the other users as well as see where they have been. Overall, I recommend this app for social people who like to travel.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2014-10-12*

Unlike others, this app is very easy to use to express my ideas and opinions when traveling. Love it!

**Developer response:** Thanks for using Jauntlet. Happy travels.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2014-10-03*

This app is fun to use. It's nice to keep track of where I've been. Also, the travel bucket list comes in handy a lot.

**Developer response:** Thanks for using Jauntlet. Nice to see your using the bucket list.

### 5/5 — Great

*2014-10-02*

I created a travel blog using Jauntlet. With this app, I uploaded multiple images to my blog. Jauntlet also gave me the feature to add my location and enable social sharing. This app is awesome and it's worth a try!

**Developer response:** Thanks for using Jauntlet. Glad you like adding photos with locations and sharing your blog on social media.

### 5/5 — Easy Travel Blogging

*2014-08-21*

I love how Jauntlet uses the geotags and the checkins from my social networks to automatically build a travel blog. Super easy to use!

**Developer response:** Thanks for using Jauntlet. Nice to see that you like automatically adding your social media photos with their locations.

### 5/5 — Great for Travelers

*2014-08-10*

I like to use to plan my trips ahead of time, then I go back and edit each place after I visit. I also like how I can upload multiple photos at the same time and it automatically shows the time and place on my travel map.

### 4/5 — Traveling in our RV

*2017-02-05*

I enjoy using jauntlet to keep track of our travels around the USA in our RV. It's easy to write in the journal and to upload photos. I do wish that when you choose a destination, that you could distinguish whether it is a "base camp" or a "day trip". We travel to locations, park our RV for a couple of weeks, and take day trips to check out the sites, that I would love to capture. When I do capture them, it looks like we are at that day trip location and not where we are at our base camp. Just a suggestion!

**Developer response:** Thanks for your suggestion. Day trips are a good idea.

### 4/5 — Great improvements made, love this blog app!

*2016-04-07*

I have used this app every day for nearly 9 months as I travel the Panamerican Highway. It's awesome. You can plot your route, date everything, add a blog entry and either add photos through the app or even better, it syncs your photo to the correct location from photos added to Facebook. You can even export the blog to PDF. The app has seen big improvements over the last 9 months.

To be able to give it five stars, I'd love to see a few things happen. It's great that you can export as a PDF but would be awesome if you could do so without photos. It would be good also if there was an 'add destination' button at the top of the page instead of having to scroll past all old destinations first. It would also be great to see all photos on one separate area, not divided up into locations.

Overall though a great app and works well for my trip.

**Developer response:** Thanks for using Jauntlet. You can export PDFs without photos. On the web, there is an "add destination" button on the top of the page. On the app, it's at the top of the menu. It does group your photos by destination, but one big gallery is an interesting idea.
