### 4/5 — Sync

*2024-10-17*

I like this app but I can’t seem to get data to sync across my devices. I don’t know if this is an option.

### 2/5 — Decent for the only real Java compiler out there

*2022-12-25, version 2.0.7*

So this compiler seems to be the only real one out there for the iPad. However, it doesn't have the ability to change file or project names, it doesn't allow undo, its tab space is 2 spaces, and its font is not monospace. Ultimately, I'm using it because I need to learn Java and don't have a functioning computer, but still, it would be nice if they would add more basic features.

### 4/5 — Good, but indentations are too small

*2020-08-16, version 2.0.7*

Pls update

### 3/5 — not bad!

*2020-03-24, version 2.0.7*

Projects and files name cannot be edited.
Projects and files cannot be arranged.

### 4/5 — Works but I can't see variable names

*2019-12-14, version 2.0.7*

I wrote a simple program with for loop printing numbers but I couldn’t see the loop index. I’ll try to repeat it here:

for (int thisIsMyForLoopsForLoopIndexVariableButWithShortVariableName_HeyThisIsJavaAfterall;

See, I had to give up at first semicolon due to screen being too narrow for even the shortest of Java variant names.

### 2/5 — Forces to buy pro

*2019-08-16, version 2.0.7*

The one thing I hate about this compiler is that it forces you to buy a $2 pro version to edit, the one thing they could do is add a free demo. Or just add a free version with less abilities than the pro version, Everything else seem to works well.

### 1/5 — Waste of Time

*2019-07-28, version 2.0.7*

Free version is useless. Can’t edit, only run “Hello World!”. Dev should at least enable some coding to entice users to purchase the pro version.

### 1/5 — This app is a disgrace

*2019-07-25, version 2.0.7*

It’s just a trap, don’t even bother downloading it, with the free version you can’t literally do ANYTHING, shame on you

### 2/5 — Won’t compile classes

*2019-06-15, version 2.0.7*

It’s not an expensive app but it won’t compile when I extend a class or implement an interface.

### 1/5 — too bad

*2019-05-23, version 2.0.7*

you can not even write on single line without paying

### 2/5 — Used to be a great app...

*2019-05-13*

A while ago I paid the $3.99 for the pro features on this app that allowed me to develop GUI applications. Since then I decided to redownload the app to use it for one of my classes only to find out that the GUI features have been stripped out and put into a new app called “Pico Compiler Pro” which I now have to pay another $3.99 for. This is very disappointing as I really enjoyed using this application, it came in handy for testing code on the go. I refuse to pay the same amount again for something I was already entitled to.

### 1/5 — iPad folio keyboard hides the bottom menu

*2019-02-24, version 2.0.6*

iPad bug

### 1/5 — junk

*2019-01-21, version 2.0.6*

junk

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible don’t buy

*2023-02-14*

Like an idiot I bought the pro version. This app is not finished and it does not have autocomplete anything. Wish I could get my money back.

### 1/5 — Imagine you can’t copy and paste

*2022-11-29, version 2.0.7*

Literally. Why isn’t importing projects even an option even on pro version?

### 1/5 — Can’t import projects

*2022-11-22*

So you can create projects but can’t import files or folders ..?? Literally useless app

### 1/5 — Please read

*2021-09-07*

It would be a great app if you did not have to pay for it. Please do not use false advertising as it is advertised as free

### 1/5 — How to refund?

*2021-07-22*

Bought pro thought it would be great for iPad coding. Makes no difference not even match the free peer compilers. Wasted 2 pounds . Demand a refund!

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2021-02-08*

Why have a free version if you can’t even test your own code?
Was really looking forward to seeing what this app could do, but I’m not going to consider buying now because I have no clue what I can and can not program on this app.

### 1/5 — Deleted almost right away after finding it's an app that's a brick on my device.

*2020-06-15*

Downloaded this app to learn. This app is a waste of space on your device unless you pay for it. Advertised as a free app, but it won't let me even make a project or modify any of the pre-made scripts on the app. Everything I've click on the app comes up with a message saying I can't access that unless I have the pro, which is there top price for the app

### 1/5 — The worst compiler

*2020-06-01, version 2.0.7*

Can't right a single letter without paying $2. Nice marketing

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2020-01-30, version 2.0.7*

There’s is absolutely no point in this app because to modify it you require to pro version, which costs $2.99.

### 1/5 — Not free in any way, shape, or form.

*2020-01-26, version 2.0.7*

I was looking for free.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Perfect for practicing my intro to programming class

*2023-09-21*

So helpful to practice what I’m learning in class. Thanks also for not collecting my data! Just one question, where’s the tab button?

### 5/5 — Great app to learn Java

*2023-03-04*

It would be perfect if it could use external packages and library.

### 5/5 — Is good, could be great

*2023-02-17*

I think a find & replace feature would make this a sub above. otherwise, I'm lovin it.

### 5/5 — Excellent lightweight Java IDE

*2020-02-15*

Awesome. Exactly what I was looking for to test simple Java code. Java GUI is not supported but I don’t think that would be possible on IOS?

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2020-01-10, version 2.0.7*

Best programming app for Java that is out on the App Store. If you’re a programming student, its worth the $2.99 for the Pro 9 version. Does everything a regular desktop program does!

### 5/5 — Perfect for on the go assignments

*2019-12-02, version 2.0.7*

I use this for my University Computer programming classes so I can do assignments on the go. IDE is so easy to use.

### 5/5 — Great, but...

*2019-06-16, version 2.0.7*

The app needs an undo button and JOptionPane.

### 5/5 — Nice for some experimental coding

*2018-10-02, version 2.0.3*

Very nice app for experimenting and exploring ideas while away from the PC; very useful for when I am waiting in line somewhere, and an idea pops into my head. The free version is just to give you an idea of how it works, and the price if the pro version is good considering what one can do with this app. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Reseña de un hispanohablante

*2018-09-02*

INCREIBLEEEEE!!!!

### 5/5 — Didn't counter any problems yet so far I'm happy tomb up

*2017-12-03, version 1.7.0*

Love it :)
